Hi everyone! I'm using the new 2025 Illustrator and have recently noticed that my PDFs are being exported with desaturated color. For reference, I haven't played with any color settings and haven't with past versions either. Unless default settings have changed from 2024 to 2025 then everything should be the same. I'll leave a screenshot below of my settings, as well as an example of the desaturated colors. This is definitely a section of design/Illustrator that I have neglected over the years, so I'm looking forward to finally learning about it lol. Thanks!  

I am using Illustrator 28.1.  Files that I created last week and exported as DXF's using AutoCAD 2018 do not show up at all when I open the DXF files.  I (thought I) was able to open them last week!  There are layers in the Illustrator file, so I selected the artwork that I wanted before exporting and chose "export selected artwork only".  I am self-taught, so it's entirely possible that I am doing something wrong.  Am I the only one having this problem?

Some time in the last year, Illustrator (which previously worked just fine) has become unusably slow and laggy on my 2011 iMac. Anyone out there have solutions or work-arounds?

Hi community, so even though I have tried reseting preferances, only having default library fonts, the illustrator is slow and laggy still. Copy and pasting simple objects are not fluid, and get "stuck" with the cursos click, meaning the shape does not release until with another mouse click!!! With that, this is probably the worst experince with illustrator I have ever had in the past 10 years... I have tried other versions, but still its unbearable... Not even sure what Adobe is doing to rectify this, but help is mostly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm very basic user with Illustrator, so I would like to ask for explanation. I have a Illustrator document with linked images, saved as Illustrator PDF, not PDF/X. It is 130 MB size.Same document with embedded images is 560 MB.It is clear for me until now.. But: in Acrobat both documents looks visualy same and images have same resolution (checked with Preflight), which I really don't understand why. And second question is: What happens, if I send document with linked images to print shop, and they import Illustrator PDF into Corel Draw? What happens with images? How does Illustrator handle linked and embedded images saved as Illustrator PDF for another processing? Thanks for any explanation.

I tried to install Illustrator Beta on a Surface laptop with Snapdragon(R) X 12-core X1E 80100 @ 3.40 GHz, but it gave an error code 1. Can anyone help? Thanks, 

As a prepress/preflight technician (for 25+ years), I am beginning to a a downward trend in quality art files. Messy, badly planned, badly executed files, with text that looks like it was image-traced by a 2nd grader from a 72 dpi PNG file.  Are any of the newer designers out there getting any training at all in setting up final files for print and print production?  Setups for 4/c Process vs. Flexography vs. Digital print?  I get the idea that all the new art files I'm receiving are from amateurs who have no idea what they are doing. 

i just update the Mac OS to Ventura, and now Preview in Ventura no longer supports .eps again. anyone can help ? thanks

I am using Illustrator CS4 - yes, old I know, but I know it well and am keen to continue to use it. It runs fine on my macbook pro [high sierra] but on my desktop [also running high sierra] I get an alert telling me the licensing has stopped working. How can I resolve this?

when rasterizing an object, the function to apply a spot color duplex to the raster is often missing. you have to use third-party software, which can sometimes be time-consuming

how to add "apply last selected color" to my keyboard shortcuts? there is no such option in the settings

Hi,I'm working on a business card that will be printed. I have some SVGs from Figma that I need to bring into this project. Is it a problem if I place them directly in the file, or are SVGs not ideal for print? Also, could this cause issues with the color mode? 

1. Hello, the thumbnails in the layers tab are very inconvenient and uninformative. In these squares, in most cases, it is impossible to discern the appearance of the object. If you enlarge the thumbnail, the ribbon becomes inconveniently large.2. Why not make it so that this tab automatically scrolls to the element selected on the canvas. When there are few elements, it is not difficult to scroll the tab, but if there are more than a hundred, you have to scroll slowly and slowly to notice which element I have selected.3. White elements do not have thumbnails. Is it possible to make them somehow displayed in the thumbnails, at least a black super-thin outline

Hello,   When I open illustrator 2025 I get an error message saying: 'Adobe Illustrator The file "[filename.ai]" has an unknown format, so the styles cannot be imported.'- I did not open that file, I just opened the software. - I can not work in illustrator now!!Please, what is the problem with Illustrator at the moment?

I am trying to create a script that iterates thru the selected pathItems on the artboard and adds their name to an array but at the start of each group of pathItems that have the same name I would like a header child. Artboard pathItems:3 - pathItem.name = lemon2 - pathItem.name = orange3 - pathItem.name = peach Header child:pathObj.addChild("These are lemons:");pathObj.addChild("These are oranges:");pathObj.addChild("These are peaches:"); Resulting array:[These are lemons:, lemon, lemon, lemon, These are oranges:, orange, orange, These are peaches:, peach, peach, peach] Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

How is this issue years old and not solved? It's not about reseting prefs, svg code, etc. It's something else and it makes working on Illustrator almost impossible. People are ditching this program as this bug continues. This should be the top priority.

Hi, How can I ensure the text is aligned as accurately as possible in this graphic? Is there a technique, or is it just done by eye? Thank you.  

How can I create a loading icon with evenly spaced circles, similar to the attached image? I've tried using the Blend Tool and creating a brush, but the circles are not perfectly spaced when turned into a brush. Using only the Blend Tool seems to work best, but the spacing between the circles is inconsistent. How can I ensure that each circle maintains equal distance from one another?

Olá,estava utilizando a ferramenta Gradiente e notei que mesmo com a opacidade em zero ele ainda fica com a tonalidade que está na bolinha,como mostro na imagem,no caso em preto,como posso deixar de forma definitiva sem a cor preta ?
