Hi everyone, I am making vector illustrations and perfecting them with the pencil tool as I always do.But in the new 2025 version the vector drawings are not changing as acurate as before.They are just jumping everywhere and are not nearly changing like I draw the line.I have put the fidility totaly to the accurate side but still it is not accurate at all.Did something change? Do I need to change anyting in the settings so the pencil tool will react like before?Or is this a bug in the new illustrator version? Thank you in advance,

Hello all, I have an image that I'd like to place behind a complex path...Right now it's like the attached image, but I'd like the photo to fill in the white space so that it's framed by the circles. If anyone has any advice, I'd be really grateful! Thanks!  

I am using two screens and moving Illustrator to the larger screen from my laptop so that I can see things better. I am still using CS2. One day for reasons I still do not understand, my PDF dialog box disappeared. Illustrator thinks it is there, but the only thing I can do is escape out of it. I can't save a file as a PDF, and I need to do that on a regular basis. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling CS2, but it did not change anything.Does anyone know how to retrieve a dialog box that has gone off the screens?Thanks!

In the latest release, the smooth tool no longer works. They done broke it. Even on the most accurate setting it completely destroys the shape. Please change it back

Hello!I started my students on Adobe Illustrator. We have the Creative Cloud Enterprise. About 5 of my students do not have the Web browser option listed when trying to launch the program. We are using Windows laptops. We are using the web option until I am able to secure the admin password to be able to install the desktop version. Their accounts were all loaded through the Adobe Admin site at the same time so I am not sure why it isn't working for them!Any ideas why or solutions to fix?Thanks!

Autoupgraded to 2025, and it uninstalled 2024. I tried importing settings, my user actions aren't available in 2025 there. I restored 2024 from time machine, and they are in there, but they're just "in the program", tried searching via terminal and didn't find anything. I can just save them out, but out of principle, I need to know where they are.

I am working with large files that have multiple linked files. When I save as, the window pops up normally and I enter the file name I want, press ok, then normally the illustrator option window appears, you would press ok and the file saves. What happens to me is the illustrator options window sometimes does not appear. If I press enter without clicking anything the file will start to save. If I click off illustrator for whatever reason and click back, I get an exclamation sound and can’t do anything else, pressing enter won’t work either. I have to open task manager and force close illustrator. This does not happen all the time, there doesn’t seem to be any reason or pattern that I can figure out that would cause this. I can go for hours without having an issue and then it suddenly starts happening, then the window will start appearing again, or times it will start happening immediately.I have reinstalled illustrator, updated it. I have tried having the least amount of programs runni

Illustrator is runing very slowly full stop (Moving objects around on screen is very sluggish etc) but the most frustrating aspect which is making it almost unusable is when i try to use text. i create a text box and start typing and its fine but then it just stops and shows the spinning beach ball. whenever i try to select parts of the text it shows the beach ball for a few seconds making the experience very frustrating. I tried disabling all my fonts to see if there was a problem there to no avail. running mohave on iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015) with new SSD. illustator 24 freshly updated.Any help to solve this would be much appreciated.

I had to reset my computer to a backup version for my windows software and now my normal home screen is empty. Not sure what i need to do or if there is a setting that i am overlooking. All I get are the top menus, no history, and even properties section wont show anything. Hopefully someone can help me out. I am a new user and trying to learn everything between my normal job and sleeping.

I use Illustrator on a daily basis and do laser engraving in my garage, the problem is, that my computer linked to the engraving machine isn't powerful enough to do anything more than open Illustrator and transfer to my engraving software so I have to complete all design work on my personal computer in my home office.I don't find this an issue and have been doing it for years as my monthly payment covers two licenses. I keep getting asked every 4/6 weeks to change my password as it recognises two people are using Illustrator. This is becoming extremely annoying as it logs me out of both Illustrators and also all other Adobe apps such as Photoshop and Lightroom. Has anyone experienced this issue? I can't seem to find a way to inform Adobe that it's one person on two computers, any attempt to contact Adobe is impossible and ends up talking to a useless bot. Thank you in advance!

Hello, is it allowed to use color palletes from Illustrator in outside AI art applications (not Illustrator)?

hi guys, I'm only able to move images in Illustrator when I click on the outlines. Clicking anywhere else within the image doesn't allow me to move or select it. Is this a common issue? 

I'm using Illystrator on IPad. When I go into "your files" view , I don't see all of the files/documents that are available to me on the home view. Is it possible to see them all in your files view?

I'm a beginner just learning the basics of illustrator. I'm having a problem with the curvature tool not snapping to another path. Some help would be appreciated!

Anyone else notice that the smooth tool now is set to max intensity/simplification despite turning all settings to "accurate"? Even if I only have some anchor points selected, the entire path gets max simplified.Please stop messing around with the smooth tool Adobe!

So I started a file on the Ipad Illustrator app, then using the synced cloud, I opened said file on Illustrator on my computer and worked on it for at least 3 hours, pressing the save button in-between very often to ensure the file was saved. Now, the day after, I went on the Ipad app, and from the home screen I saw that the changes I'd made to the file were visible (Like think I made the lines of what was previously a sketch) but when I went to open the file, everything I'd worked on yesterday was gone! All the layers, everything, gone, except for the changes that were already on the Ipad app. So naturally I also checked Illustrator on my Computer, and now it seems like it's been "synced up" and I've lost all my progress. Please help me, I urgently need those files, but I have no clue where to start to look for them as I'm new to Illustrator.

I wanted to resize the whole object and so I tried selecting it with the white arrow but it wouldn't select!  Everytime I do so, it only shows "path". Please help!

Hi, I'm drawing shapes with the pen tool, along the path the adjustment handles are showing in yellow, same when I look at the work in keyline. I can barely see them in yellow over white background to adjust with. How do i change the colour of them to say mid blue or something easier to see?? Thanks!

No recuerdo que hice o que paso, pero cuando estaba trabajando en illustrator, en algun momento me percate de que en mi mesa de trabajo habia un cuadro punteado que se asemejaba a la forma de mi mesa de trabajo pero como a la mitad de su tamaño y al clickear otra mesa de trabajo desaparecia de mi actual mesa de trabajo y aparecia en la mesa de trabajo con la que interactuaba y de la misma manera(misma forma pero mas pequeño como a su mitad de tamaño). Ese cuadro aparecia unas cuantas veces mas que abria el archivo y todo ese tiempo me parecia molesto porque se atravesaba en los dibujos que estaba haciendo y sin darme cuenta un dia desaparecio. Solo queria saber si fue algun bug o yo toque algo de mas y por eso aparecio(aunque no sabria decir como desaparecio).

I need to print a sticker for large backdrop 6 metres x 2 metres.  I downloaded an image of sign about 6.5 M from Adobe Stock and edit it with Adobe Illustrator.  Is that the edited image will become a vector image, and that I can output it as a large printout, say 6 metres x 2 metres without distortion?

Sorry for the dramatic subject but this is true, for me. but the pencil tool is my most used tool for my work.I've used it for many many years and its the basis of everything I do in Illustrator which i use 99% of my work. (i havent even touched the pen tool for many years)When I saw it was updated I was happy it finally got some attention and decided to give it a try.Now I'm devastated to see the direction it's takenI've used the pencil tool on the lowest fidelity 0.5px smoothness 0% setting for many many years.So that when I draw the result I want is almost exactly what my hand draws and not a smoothed/math generated path.In the new pencil tool settings the lowest "accurate" preset its still very smooth and controling and gives an output that is not at all something i can use.Actually I cant draw anything in the style desired with it. Its like it has its own life and decides the outcome of what i draw. This is because of the few anchor points and smoothness.Not all artists wants thei

I bought the Adobe CC a few days ago but the AI generation tool doesn't work.I used the following prompt that the generator refused:"a green parrot with yellow feathers", "flowers in pots" and etc.(( nothing worksand I cannot see how this violates any user guidelines. Help me, pls! 

can someone help me blur just one edge of an object, i can see how to do it for all edges but i want to fade into one side of an object, it's a simple solid rectangle.Thanks in advanceEhab

I'm fairly new to illustrator.  Do I have some save settings wrong?   I have several (not all)  quicklook thumbnails showing up like this.   I'm running Illustrator 2025 on a MacBook Max M3 with Sonoma.  I get the same bad quicklook previews on my Late 2013 MacBook Pro, running Big Sur too, so it doesn't seem to be an issue with the MacBook Max or Sonoma.
