I bought the Adobe CC a few days ago but the AI generation tool doesn't work.I used the following prompt that the generator refused:"a green parrot with yellow feathers", "flowers in pots" and etc.(( nothing worksand I cannot see how this violates any user guidelines. Help me, pls! 

can someone help me blur just one edge of an object, i can see how to do it for all edges but i want to fade into one side of an object, it's a simple solid rectangle.Thanks in advanceEhab

I'm fairly new to illustrator.  Do I have some save settings wrong?   I have several (not all)  quicklook thumbnails showing up like this.   I'm running Illustrator 2025 on a MacBook Max M3 with Sonoma.  I get the same bad quicklook previews on my Late 2013 MacBook Pro, running Big Sur too, so it doesn't seem to be an issue with the MacBook Max or Sonoma.   

First time posting so bear with me. I noticed after updating my AI that I can no longer move an anchor point and contrain it to the path angle or direction . For example when I'm trying to extend a path line, it usually locks on and snaps to "line ext" or something along the lines. It this a bug with the new version or something that thy made an option to tick on or off? I have smart guides on (Command + U), but it doesn't lock on. Is anyone else having this issue?

El punto es que cuando me di cuenta, decidí comprar Illustrator desde la página oficial de Adobe.Se hizo la descarga y lo instalé, pero tenía otra computadora que se hechó a perder... Ahora conseguí una nueva y quiero volver a hacer mi descarga, pero no me carga la página para poder descargalo... Mientras no he logrado encontrar la manera de descargar mi software.PD: Las imágenes que les compartí traen su respectiva leyenda explicando cada una.Gracias de antemano y saludos!

Hello! im trying to open an acad file in illustrator, but when oi try to open i get an error message. "The opretation cannot complete because of an unknown error. (UNKN). I have made new layers in the acad file. I have saved this as both an dwg file and dfx filem, but none of them will open. 

When I open illustrator and select new file, somehow the dialogue box is invisible. I can hover my mouse around and I've noticed it changes to the select cursor around certain areas, and when I click I'm selecting a certain file size and it creates a new file. I can also click and drag to make the invisible box bigger and smaller. That's how I know it's invisible and not just not opening. It's not a huge issue just a bit bothersome. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I've had it for a couple of months now and nothing has fixed it. I've reinstalled, updated, and reset all options. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Thank you for reading!

Hello everyone, This is my first post on the Illustrator forum, as I’m really not very skilled with this software. Let me explain: I generated an AI image of a face made up of small dots of varying sizes. The image itself is great and fits what I’m looking for, but there’s one issue that bothers me: the dots aren’t perfect circles. I’ve attached the Illustrator file—you’ll quickly see that some dots are oval, others flattened… What I really want is for each of these dots to be a perfect circle. However, I need to keep the differences in size for each dot, otherwise, the face won’t be distinguishable (it’s the size variations that help form the eyes, mouth, etc.). I’ve tried different options: smooth, simplify, round corners… but the best result I could achieve is the attached version, which is still quite far from perfect circles. There’s also the option Effects > Convert to Shape > Ellipse, but again, I couldn’t get exactly what I wanted. I have confusion over this. When is this TYPE icon appearing? 

I can barely work on my document with 3d text.I was so excited to discover the 3d text, but every second other illustrator is not responding.

The text is half hidden when I start Adobe Illustrator with UI Scalling enable. See screenshot.

Running Illustrator 29 on M1 Macbookpro (64gbram, OS15.0.1) Illustrator crashes sometimes when my mac sleeps and doesn't autosave or recover most documents. Having to remember to save every 5 mintes and close everything properly feels like adobe a decade ago. For now I've gone back to 28, which is always a shame.

A little frustrated with the update to v29.0 (on the mac): all my preferences didn't update.What's killing me is my workspaces. I can find the old ones and put them into the new workspaces folder, and they show up in the workspaces dropdown, but they don't do anything. I can select them, but it just stays with the previous workspace.I can see that the format has changed in the actual workspace file, new ones preview as a "Unix Executable File" and the old ones were simple text documents.Am I just out of luck?I'm surprised that Adobe got this one wrong, unlike them on updates and I'm surprised I'm not seeing this channel full of others like me. Did it just fail for me then (or am I bad at searching)?Thanks!N.

Every...single...time....I open the library in illustrator I get a 3 part pop up window "tour" of the library. There is no "don't show this again" or way to turn it off but it literally happens EVERY TIME! I need my library multiple times per day, and heaven forbid I close illustrator, I have to clear out 3 windows AGAIN. I would do whatever it takes to make this stop...I found old forums from 2021 discussing this very issue, here we are 3 years later paying nearly double what it used to cost experiencing the same frustrating user interface bs errors...please help this stop im going crazy over here

Hello,before the last update, when I wanted to extend a line in its continuity in any direction, a guide would appear, allowing me to know that I was maintaining the base direction of the line I wanted to extend. Since the update, this guide doesn't appear anymore. I haven't found any online help for this issue. Could a hero help me out? Thanks!

On Illustrator 2025 (29.0), I have selected Show Indic Options, Arabic text, and Middle Eastern Line Single-Line Composer. However, while the text displays normally, sentences don't start where they should, and the punctuation (full stops/commas) always end up on the right of the text (incorrectly). I am unable to fix this, and installing Illustrator 2024 did not help either.

Hello, i need to make 3d design on illustraitor, but when i try to use the effect i get an error message that there is not enough memory. it's odd because the size of the file is only A4. what should i do? Thanks, Dorit

Hace un par de semanas estoy teniendo problemas con las fuentes. Por ejemplo las descargo, se instalan y las utilizo en Adobe Illustrator. El problema es que cuando lo abro nuevamente al otro dia ya no funcionan, se encuentran desinstaladas. Ademas aparecen con un asterico al lado del nombre. Seria fantastico que puedan solucionar ese inconveniente. Muchas gracias

Hi there, I would like to create guides every 160mm. Is there a way to do this automatically without typing in the x value for each one? I tried creating a grid of that size, but I want the guides to start at the 0,0 point on ruler, not at the corner of the artboard so that didn't work. Thanks!

Hello team, I have customized the keyboard shortcuts in Illustrator, and each time I launch the program, I need to switch from the default shortcuts to my personalized ones. Is there a way to automatically load my custom shortcuts every time I start Illustrator? Having to manually adjust the shortcuts every time interrupts my workflow and creativity

Здравствуйте!Случайно был удален файл ai, но с помощью утилиты восстановления файл удалось вернуть, далее при попытке открыть в иллюстраторе выходит сообщение, «Файл имя.ai в неизвестном формате и не может быть открыт.»Попытка с помощью программы Recovery Toolbox for Illustrator исправить файл не дало результата.Уважаемые есть ли возможность как-то исправить файл?

I'm trying to export my project as a PNG with a transparent background, but the menu that changes export settings doesn't even pop up for me. Is it hidden in a menu somewhere, or is this a really weird glitch?

When creating a new file, I typically prefer to set up my own preset details rather than using premade templates.  There's a (to me) significant hole in the ui. When you set up your new document you choose dimensions, number of artboards, bleed, color mode, pixel density etc.     Having ignored the left side of the interface entirely, as I always start out by doing, at this point I still haven't noticed that the default starting document was set up for print, and this time I'm using RGB colors.     Now my only path forward (if I want to get rid of the yellow triangle/ exclamation point symbol next to my color mode.) is to choose a new starting template and then change everything about it except the color mode.    It would be much simpler to have the choice of a profile at the top of the right side of the ui (preset details).  I don't exactly know why it throws an error if you change everything about a document p
