Hello, I just build the FreeGrid plugin, I put it in the Adobe Illustrator Plugin folder but when I click on the menu plugin, nothing happened.  I debug the plugin and I found this PlugPlugErrorCode_streamCloseCallbackNotFound, can someone help me please?

It was working fine then all of a sudden it's not working and I'm getting the PARM error. This happens in Illustrator and Illustrator Beta.  I have restarted the app, restarted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled and have also made sure my graphics card was up to date and that the app is up to date.  I am unable to use my own images or the stock images in the app.

Hello, my job requires a lot of scaling one object to match another object.It would be super convenient to have my workflow look like this:1. Select first object, run script to copy width.2. Select second object, run script to paste width. Now they are the same width. I imagine they would be two separate scripts. Could I possibly have help with this? I'm aware that scripts like MatchObject exists but it's not what I'm looking for. I don't want to have to constantly select settings in a dialogue box. Assigning scripts to F1 and F2 would make it just a couple button presses. Thanks in advance.

I'm learning the ropes of Illustrator and I'd really like to learn how to create an editable text file like the ones you can download from freepik. You are able to download them and change the font style/and text... you cannot edit the colors of the files. They truly are amazing designs and I'd love to be able to create something like this from scratch where I can personalize and make my own styles. Would anyone have any tutorials or places they recommend I start diving into to learn how to create these? Looking forward to your tips, tricks, and any advice you may have to offer!

It's been some days already that when I try to copy an object and paste it in a different layer in Illustrator it doesn't work. The result is that it pastes it in the same layer as the original object and when I block that layer and try to paste it in other layer it shows an error message saying that I'm trying to paste an object in a layer that is blocked. It is very anoying since I want to make a clip mask while keeping the outlines in a different layer or when I want to cut some objects and paste them in one layer to create a group the program pastes them in the original layers and don't let me do the action that I want.I already uninstalled Adobe Illustrator and reinstall it and the problem keeps going.

Why are these two halves misaligned when merged and normal when zoomed in.Is there a ghost?

Anyone who has ever used Blender knows that if you choose "B-Spline" for your gradient， you get an extremely smooth gradient， no matter what color you choose - it's the softest gradient I've ever seen， bar none!   But I've never seen Adobe add this feature to Photoshop or Illustrator.   First of all， you can be sure that "B-Spline" in Blender is applied in RGB mode， the principle is not complicated， and it can be applied in RGB mode in PS and AI.   At the same time， I also believe that if you study it carefully， the day of using "B-Spline" in CMYK mode is not far away.   All of you who read this post， please tell me if you want to: Choose any number of colors and automatically create a "perfect gradient" with extremely smooth transitions!   I've tested it， all gradients in AI and PS can't compete with "B-Spline"， if you don't believe me， download Blender and see for yourself， it's a fact!   I think this "basic feature" should have been created 10 years ago

The Problem:Any RGB swatches I create in a gradient that are gray automatically switch to Grayscale swatches when i want to edit them later. Description:I only work with the HSB (Hue Saturation Brightness) color picker in Illustrator CS5. So when i create a gradient i add colors using the HSB color picker. It makes a RGB-value color swatch in the gradient. The problem arrises when i add a color swatch to a gradient that has any form of grey (rgb12,12,12 or rgb150,150,150, so on). After creating it using the HSB picker, when i go back to edit the color value later it ends up being in grayscale mode when actually i created it in RGB. It's frustrating because i have to re-create each gray color in the gradient in RGB. It wouldn't be a problem if the Grayscale grays looked the same as RGB grays, but they dont.Maybe HSB chooses the right color space for the color? Is it supposed to do that? Hi, I have recently downloaded the Illustrator app on my iPad Pro 11 2nd Gen 128GB, it has only used about 60GB of the memory used, so plenty of space remaining. The app keeps crashing after a few minutes of being open, I downloaded a pattern file from Fresco to do a repeat pattern. Everytime I go to make it into a pattern it stalls, takes about 2 minutes to processs my request and then crashes. This is the same when doing other actions as well, although I do manage a couple of clicks before it crashes on me. I have re installed the app, checked all my memory etc on the iPad and its still doing it. I have also been trying out Affinity Designer which runs with no problems at all on the same file from Fresco so I am sure its not my device causing the issues. I would like to stick with Illustrator but it us completely unusable. Any Help Please  Ta Kate

Hello everyone, I created the script that import multiple artwork based on CSV data. Currently it's trying to import 7 art files and file size range from 45kb - 500kb. My plan is to import 20-30 art files to create base template. When I run script my illustrator froze, and goes into not responding mode until script is completed (which is not a big issue), main issue is it's missing every second artwork, but when run in debug mode going all the steps one by one then all the artwork is imported. I tried to put $.sleep(), but it's not fixing the problem. And sometimes it misses two artworks in a row.My debug console shows that script is running every step, but not importing actual artwork. I recently upgraded my work Mac from iMac Pro (2017) to a Mac Studio (2022) and I notice a few quirky differences. Most are minor but this one really interrupts my workflow because of the lag (or delay) it causes. I want to see if anyone knows what is causing it so that I can stop interrupting myself when I work! Ok, so the issue is when I want to edit something within a group. Typically I isolate the selected group so that it's easier to select the items I need to. Well, on the new Mac, Illustrator does this: https://youtu.be/kKAssq74X7E. This is just a sample document to show as I can't show our customer's artwork, but as you can see, even with simple shapes there is a noticeable lag after isolating the group. I am working locally, no network issues should cause this. I have tried switching from GPU to CPU and that does seem to eliminate the problem, but everything else is slow to work with. So that's not a feasible option for me either. Hello, please see the attached example of what I am, and am not, trying to accomplish (best shown rather than explained). As the sample shows I want to the curved letters to still be upright - rather than perpendicular to the curve, if that makes sense. I have tried a few things, including the Warp effect and Envelope Distort, with no luck. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've had Creative Cloud for many years, and I've managed to muddle through the rare occasions I've had to use it with a LOT of frustration and at one point paying someone to do something for me - which I simply cannot afford to do. I scanned a line drawing from an old public-domain book cover and eventually was able to make it black on a transparent background. I tried various apps - Firefly, Adobe Express, Photoshop, and Illustrator to try to get to the point where I am now. I wanted to add some color to the drawing and hoped AI would do that - Firefly kept adding to it and ignoring my instructions not to add new elements to the drawing - and the colors were terrible. I'm in Illustrator now, and tried to follow another discussion where someone had described a similar problem. But nothing described even seems to exist - I cannot get to a Smart Paint Bucket, and I can't select a color from a pallet and try to color in a part of the drawing. I used to use Fireworks fo

Please forgive the French UI...I have an artwork I'm trying to redefine colors of. As I put it together, I kept using the Picker to get color from an RGB image but I did not pay attention exactly to which pixels I was sampling color from. Result? I have many colors that are actually "duplicates". And, there is one "Yellow" color, in particular, that is way too green? I figured I'd resolved all those issues in the flick of a finger but, for the life of me, I have to confess I can't figure how to go from a given swatch of the correct Yellow color TO the current artwork greenish Yellow color?Here is what my Redefine color dialog looks like:Currently selected in the list is that ugly "greenish yellow" color (I didn't make a swatch for as I went along).  All I want is to "Assign" one of the Yellows ("Jaune foncé") on the right. I tried every key Alt, Shift, Ctrl, nothing works as I click that swatch on the right. Does anyone know how Illustrator determines what fonts it classifies for various filtering choices? In the attached file,  you can see I've filtered for heavy weight fonts. Several fonts aren't heavy weight at all and a bunch of my go to chunky fonts aren't listed at all. I'm assuming Illustrator is reading something in the font file that determines that it's heavy weight, but I can't figure out what it is. Any ideas? 

First post here, hopefully the question hasn't been asked before, but I couldn't find an answer for it. No matter how I input them, I can't seem to have both superscript and other opentype features, specifically old style numerals and small caps, in the same line of type. As soon as I enter superscript glyphs, the other features revert to regular text (see images). It happens whether I add superscript glyphs from the glyphs window or from the toggle button in the character window. I don't see any reason the two features should be incompatible, right? Maybe it's a problem with the font? It's happening with EB Garamond Semibold (gotten through Adobe fonts), though I checked and the same problem persists with other fonts. I'm not sure if it's a bug, a usser error, or if there's something I just don't understand about opentype. Illustrator 28.7.1 on MacOS 14.6.1 

What are you all moving to since Adobe has completely ruined Illustrator? All we need really, is a good drawing program and we can boot Creative Cloud to the curb. They do not deserve $60 a month for this garbage.

 HelloSo I've been given this color swatch PDF by a printing house so I use the eyedropper and select the colors for print.What I found extremely weird was that using the eyedropper did not give the exact color as shown in attached pic, I just couldn't get the exact shade in anyway!However this was not a problem with the desktop version on Windows.(yes I made sure I'm on CMKY mode).Any idea what's going on?
