Questions

I'm trying to save a template I created in Illustrator to a location where it will appear here, under Saved templates. Is it seriously only possible to Save templates to here that have been purchased by Adobe?? I'm a designer—I make all of my own templates, like everyone else Lol. How is this not super simple? Been wondering how to do this for years. Is it just me????  Please help!! ❤️Begging you,Shelby

Hi, I have an Illustrator file that I have share for review with my colleagues . we are working on it together, them leaving coments and everything is going fine. After a couple of hours I did some small changes and wanted once mopre to update the current version, however now the only option I have is to make a new link for sharing.  But I want to just update the Version that I have shared previously, how can I solve it? I tried quitting Illustrator and reopening the file again and I still have the same problem.

For years I've been able to place images up to 2GB (on-disk size) into Illustrator, but suddenly I can't. My max is now 1GB (actually slightly less). I've tried all the different ways to save the image (which is larger than 2 GB when open in PS, but only 1.35GB on-disk): .tif (all the variants), .psd, Save a Copy, change the DPI (without resampling), placing via the menu command (which process the data then says it's generating pixels, and then nothing else happens), dragging onto the artboard (which goes through the same steps, but only loads a blank box indicating where the link is. And the little icon for the file in the links panel is blank-see attached image. No, its not in Outline view.), and even dragging a .psd directly onto the AI app icon (which opens the image, but shows an embedded link with a slightly different name, which I can't unembed, due to "not enough memory (RAM)").  My machine is an M1 Max MacBook Pro with 64GB of RAM, and a terabyte worth of free s

 Is it possible to make the artboards visible in the preview windows?

Hello  I noticed v28 crashes every time I try opening pattern option. I installed v27 and pattern tool works without any issues. So for pattern making I have to.use v27. But I have no idea what is going on with v28. 

Hello All,I am a graphic design student, I have done my first illustration in Ai using a wacom tablet One I hit a couple of issues, can anyone offer any advise please? I was trying to apply shading to some areas, using custom shapes created with the pencil tool and applying a gausian blur to soften - it stopped applying after a while...would the effect be eating up my graphics card?Do you have any better suggestions on a technique to apply shading? Any suggestion/tip on how to get the hang of the wacom pen, the tip is slightly off the point of contact on screen, thus making it really hard to select anchors and handles. Appreciate any tips and tricks you can share for an 'L' plate driver. Many thanksDenise

Tengo muchas imágenes en un archivo de Ai, actualmente están vinculados con una carpeta en mi SSD, pero quiero enlazarlos en la nube, que estén en la nube y hacerlo de una forma automática para no estar enlazando uno por uno, ya que son muchos archivos.

Hiya, When using patterns as backgrounds, I want them to be in the exact same place on each Artboard but it would seem they follow global rulers when being reset (ie. clicking the pattern swatch). I appreciate I can maintain consistency by pasting in place with 'Transform Both' selected, but I would like to speed up the process by selecting 'Same Fill Colour' and do the lot with one click. Any help here would be excellent. Cheers 

I would like to get rid of the "Text to Vector Graphic" box on the Properties panel. I don't want to see the little clipart pictures that show me how great this new feature is. I know that I can close the arrow next to it, but I would really like to stop seeing it every time I open Illustrator. I am currently taking a Foundations in Illustrator course, so I would like to be able to do this without setting up a totally different workspace than the instructor is using, so that I can follow along. It would just be so much easier to have the "Appearance" and "Brush" regions of the Properties panel right under "Transform" without the incredibly distracting little images of skulls and bikes and tornadoes or whatever greeting me every time I open the app. I don't want to use them, and I don't want to try their Beta feature. I just want to learn Illustrator from scratch without all the suggestions in my face.

Olá!Venho usando o Illustrator 2020 24.0.1 64-bit e depois de um tempo, não consigo mais Salvar um arquivo .ai quando faço alterações nele, aparece a mensagem: "Não é possível salvar a ilustração. Talvez o arquivo seja somente leitura ou esteja sendo usado por outro aplicativo, ou você não tenha as permissões necessárias. Salve o documento com um nome diferente, em uma pasta ou um diretório diferente. Identificação: -54".Quando eu tento Salvar como... ele não salva como um arquivo .ai, mas sim como  um arquivo .tmp e com o nome aleatório "~ai-3cb4f2a4-769b-4f86-99a2-a05daf604013_".Quando vou Exportar para telas... para PNG, os arquivos são salvo com o final .tmp$$. Se eu renomear, remover esse final .tmp$$ e deixar só .png, o arquivo fica como uma imagem normal, mas isso não deveria aconecer quando exporto!Se alguém já passou por isso ou sabe como resolver, por favor, me ajude!

La opcion de Buscar vinculos no disponibles en esta carpeta, no funciona bien, selecciono el archivo y la opcion para que se reemplace en todo el documento donde esta el vinculo y no lo hace, estoy haciendo de uno en uno y es una tarea muy molesta.

Llego la nueva actualización de Illustrator. Soy usuaria de MAC asi que varias cosas: 1 -  NO FUNCIONA CORRECTAMENTE, se traba todo el tiempo. Es posible que cuando lancen una actualización sea probada por los desarrolladores y no lancen basura que no funciona?2 - Por qué SE CREA UNA SEGUNDA APLICACIÓN en vez de reemplazar la existente? se pierden las configuraciones y genera problemas.3 - Gastan tiempo en LA INTELIGENCIA ARTIFICIAL, pero no mejoran funciones ya existentes como el calco de imagen, que es una absoluta porquería.   Honestamente siempre tengo que volver a las versiones anteriores porque no estan correctamente desarrolladas. 

Hi Guys, I was bothered by a weird GPU bug for a longtime. My computer is Thinkpad P1 G4, with RTX A4000 on laptop. I used Illustrator from 2020, which works well until last year: it was shown that GPU not compatible. I have used all the method on web which I can find:1 update NVIDA drive https://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx2 change the graphic setting3 delete the old preference file in adobe for startingetcbut nothing changes.  It is not problem of my GPU, as PS can detect it and use it smoothly. Nowdays, my illustrator is like running on a old machine, just due to GPU didn't work. Any suggestion and help? Thank you very much!  BTW my illustrator and PS are all updated. I also tried old version, never works. I exhausted now......

How about letting us turn off hover scrolling?—the changing of field values in dialogue boxes and toolbars by just scrolling while hovering over them. For several years people have been asking and complaining about this feature, because with a touch-sensitive mouse or pad it is way too easy to accidentally change carefully chosen settings. What's worse is command+z does not take you to the setting before you started hover-scrolling, but through every single value from where you set it to its current value. Same with typeface selection. After so many years of requests and complaints, literally going back to at least 2017, it seems we should have a fix in all Adobe apps. What gives?

Since the latest update, I have found several existing documents that are sized to 11" x 8.5" for printing, open and the artboard immediately turns 90 degrees. I can type in the correct parameters for the artboard size (Ctrl-Alt-P) when I go to edit the artboards, but as soon as I hit enter or click off, it rotates back to the incorrect orientation. This has also happened when I create a new document. I haven't noticed it on larger artboards (which doesn't mean it hasn't happened and I didn't realize it), and it doesn't seem to be consistent except for this size. I have never had any issues with these files that I have been using for years until this week after I updated the program. **I just opened my proof template, deleted the content that was on there, and pasted the new content. As soon as I did that, it rotated the artboard 90 degrees. Bonjour,Je suis sous illustrator 28.5Peu importe ce que j'écris, un contour noir s'impose autour des lettres. J'ai beau vérifier qu'il n'y a pas de contour, je le vectorise pour voir si il disparaît. Rien y fait, le contour reste noir.En pièce jointe 2 photos qui montrent qu'il n'y a pas de contour. C'est la meme chose une fois vectoriser.Comment y remédier ?  Je vous remercie d'avance.Laurence

Hi everyone, recently i started my adobe ilustrator free trial at 16th of june, i cancelled it when 23th kicked in. once it happened they sent me an "free trail cancellation confirmation" email thing, and latter on ar 25th they charged me 61€ couple minutes latter 64€, and then after a while i got one of transfer back. and today month latter they charged me another 62 €! Idon't have a single subcribtion in my plan so the Q is, why they still charging me and what should i do? any chance to get a phone numer or email to the help center?  is it possible to get those money back? 😫 im attaching the details in the photos.

Hi all,My windows PC crashed and gave me the blue ":(" screen. I had a project open in illustrator which had autosave turned on. When it restarted all the work i'd done on that file was deleted (6+ hours). Is there anything I can do to recover my work? I'm on windows 11 with the most recent Illustrator version.Thanks!

Não é só no Illustrator, mas em todos os programas da Creative Clound.Simplesmente parou de funcionar o atalho da barra de espaço! Do nada! O que dificulta muito o trabalho.Percebi que muitos usuários estão tendo esse problema e ninguém consegue resolver efetivamente. 

I have always been able to save from Illustrator to PDF 1.4 or later and the transparency is retained on PNGs and on vectors where the transparency is reduced. Over the last few days all PDFs presets (except 1.3 with Advanced switched to High Resolution) are not doing this? Am I missing something? Always worked without even thinking about it, now every transparency is printing with a ghost box around it? And vectors with lowered transparency values are printing as 100%. STUMPED! Have tried everything I can think of, but only the PDF 1.3 setting removes the boxes and prints transparency currently.Is this an issue with the latest Illustrator update? Any one any ideas?thanks.
