Hi,I was working on illustrator and saved my file as an AIC. However, I went back to open my file and it was an older version of the work I did. All the more recent work disappeared and I tried to check version history but it was not there as well. Is there a way to recover my file still?

as the title says.Bug usually goes away after closing and re-opening the window.Only happend on illu, and not other Adobe software.

How can I disable ALL sounds made from CS5 and Illustrator? For example(there are infinite examples): when I try delete an anchor point but accidentally click a pixel away it gives me a warning 'ding'. It's the dumbest feature in an app I could imagine. for one, it's a visual app, use a visual warning. secondly, you don't even need an error message...because guess what? If I didn't delete the anchor point I'll already know I didn't delete the anchor because the anchor will STILL BE THERE. simply put, there is absolutely no reason for these apps to have any noise. So how can I disable all sounds? thanks.

Hello, When I try to export my work as pdf on IPAD Illustrator, it does not allow me to choose the quality of the PDF or any other settings of it. This creates very large pdf files unnecessarily. Is there a way to choose pdf settings when you export from illustrator on IPAD? thank you.

Hi everyone,I work with Photoshop and Illustrator simultaneously because I paint watercolor textures on Photoshop and I change colors and make patterns on Illustrator. With older adobe versions I was used to paint with brush on photoshop, copy and paste on illustrator respecting all transparency of a watercolor stain for example. But I updated the versions and now when I paste it, there's this white ground behind the whole area.I already know that if you save that file on Photoshop as .psd .TIFF or .png and place it on Illustrator it respects the transparencies. But what I'm trying is to avoid that and save time with a shortcut I've been doing already. It should have a setting solution...Thanks a lot! Elena

 picture speaks thousand words. been using Ai from CS3 and i can tell you that kind of 'graphic artifact' ONLY caused by lame Rig (PC), but my office PC is far from sufficient, it waaaay beyond capable. so what gives?

Hi im not sure if this is possible but thought id ask as it would really speed up my workflow.I draw very detailed cut files.The pt size of a stroke cant go below 1.5pt or it won't cut correctly.At the moment I draw the illustration the correct size to start but during the process of the design, i might resize a section to fit better in the overall picture which then sometimes means lines go below the cut size.Is there any way to lock my point size so I can't resize it below 1.5pt?thank you for your help

Hello. I have noticed that my blob brush tool often creates a lot of very strange acute points and loops. Typically it isn't a big deal since I smooth them away, but sometimes it creates a few very small unattached shapes in addition to the blob. They are extremely small, and are typically two or three anchor points. Because they aren't connected to the main blob, I cannot smooth them away, and have to manually select them and delete them in order to remove them which is very annoying. I assume this is some kind of calculation error when using a tablet with pressure sensitivity?  I very much would like the blob brush to not create any strange actue points, random loops, or other unepxected shapes other than the main blob.  I am using a Wacom Intuos on a 2019 Mac Book Pro. I've attached screenshots. Note the screenshots are zoomed in as much as is allowed in Illustrator.  

Hi everyone,I'm experiencing a strange issue with Illustrator (latest version). Whenever I open any floating panel – like Color, Artboards, Transform, etc. – the panel shows up for a split second and then immediately closes by itself. I'm unable to interact with it at all.I've already tried:Resetting preferencesReinstalling IllustratorUpdating GPU driversTesting with different workspacesBut nothing worked so far.I'm running Illustrator on Windows 11 Home Version 24H2.Has anyone encountered this before or found a fix?Thanks in advance!

Hello, I have over 1,000 different files made for a branding project for a company I work for. These are all made in Illustrator and orgnized neatly in diffferent folder accordingly. My boss has asked me to save all of these file locally in our mac folders we use. Is there a efficient way to save these to a Mac folder without having to do it one by one for each .ai file. I need them saved as a .svg .png. jpeg and then uploaed onto a Icloud mac folder.

I keep getting a pop up when I'm recoloring artwork that says "A different color with the same name already exists in your document. Please rename this color to use it in this document." I renamed the colors in my Library but it didn't make a difference. Any other suggestions on how to stop this? It pops up constantly and it's driving me crazy!Thank you

After updating Adobe Illustrator to version 29.6.1 a file that I was working on doesn't want to open correctly.It is a file with multiple placed images. The prompt says: "Can't finish previewing. Could not complete the requested operation." If I try opening the same file in version 2024 it opens perfectly. 

Tengo un MacBook Pro de 2012, en el cual tenia una versión de adobe illusttrator compatible con MacOs Catalina, la cual dejo de funcionar y debi desinstalar el programa, al momento de intentar volver a instalar no lo logro ya que no aparecen las versiones compatibles con el sistema operativo, me gustaría saber que puedo hacer.

I used to drag this kind of shiny vector to the illustrator and it appeared to be fine without any adjustmenmts, but now it becomes appearing with the black shadow of the vector, why is this happening? They are all rgb files. Is anybody facing the same issues?   

Hi,I do not have any different snap mode on than snap to grid. I think what's going on is Illustrator thinks that after turning the STG on, when the artboard isn't perfectly aligned to the grid, the grid "starts" when the dragged anchor point is. This is, of course, absurd because the grid is visible and I do expect the artboard to snap to it.Any ideas?Thanks ❤️

 I used the blending tool in the image as well, and I worked on the centerline with a curve. The spacing is not constant, is there a way to list it consistently along the curve? This is Replace Space. No matter what I do, the interval is not constant.

Hiya, I recently lost an illustrator file and the fonts I had downloaded off adobe fonts have also been lost. I'm driving myself mad trying to find this font, it wont come up on any font finder app! no amendments was made to the font, If anyone knows what its called i would appreciate it so much! 🙂

I created and saved an Illustrator .ai file that contains only a simple rectangle path with both stroke and fill set to none. While the shape is invisible on the canvas, I can confirm that the path exists when viewing the wireframe or checking the layer structure in Illustrator. However, when I inspect the PDF stream inside the .ai file — looking at operators like m, l, or re — I cannot find any operations corresponding to this rectangle with no stroke or fill. My question is:Where is this rectangle path stored internally?Is it kept in a specific COSObject or Stream, or is it stored somewhere else entirely within the .ai file structure?
