I know that the variable width tool is not available.  I'm talkign specifically about the width profile menu that allows you to taper the ends of your strokes.  I'd like to be able to create custom profiles.  Is this possible on the iPad?

Hello, I am new to illustrator and iPad. When I draw a single path image on my iPad using the apple pencil my image looks as I want it to, however when I import it to illustrator on my PC there are many duplicate overlapping paths most of which are very hard to see/find. I have tried running a script to delete duplicate paths but that doesn't work. Is there anyway to stop this from happening? I need my images to be single path, one continuous line for use in my laser cutter. 

Need Help! When I create a new job or open a old file, programme freeze or quit frequently! 

helloI have difficulty using the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator on iPadOn the desktop, I could draw a vertical line by pressing the shift key with the pen tool.However, when there is no Bluetooth keyboard on the iPad, I want to draw only with the Apple Pencil, but I can't find a way to draw vertical lines with the Pen tool.There is no primary or secondary touch key, nor is there a context widget.Is the feature not out yet?Anyone who knows please reply 🙂thank you

Is this a bug? When I add any extra points to a gradient fill I can not select them. As I tap them it just creates more new ones. . I'm using iPad Pro 11" 2020 with Pencil 2

Hello! Since yesterday I cannot move or scaling only kind of elements free as I want. When I move them it come a little lock symbol "limited" (beschränkt in german) and I can move the elements only horizontal or vertical. Free moving or scaling the size isn't possible and more! How I can change it? Cannot find a setting for it. 

The app freezes when performing basic tasks. I am thinking about returning the new tablet for a laptop. 

I am using the latest iPad Pro 11in with iPadOS 15.4 and Illustrator could not possibly move any slower when vectorizing images. Once the vectorizing is done, I then expand it which only "processes" half of the time. Followed up by me trying to select from the 1B vectors created for whatever obscene reason to edit and take away in order to actually access the figure I wanted vectorized in the first place. Anyone else having a hard time with the vectorization process??

I started yesterday with a glitch that would remove all fill/color to a grouped stroke or object while using the selection tool. I took it as a loss and restarted the project on a new page (because I was unable to copy and past to a new page, due to the program crashing)   After I closed the new project and re-opened it, I used the selection tool to move a grouped stroke and it changed the stroke layers into one color...at least it didn't set it to "no fill/stroke" like it did yesterday.However, either way this project is now a loss as well. I am unsure if it glitched because I closed the program (as that was the bug trigger before) or if it was because I foolishly attempted one last time to copy and past the water from the old project (because I didn't like how the new versions turned out).Either way I am now out both versions.  MAJOR BUG ISSUEStodays version and yesterday's are attached for viewing.

I am operating on a new Ipad with the latest version of IllistratorAll of my work is now empty lines. The objects are still there, but the color/stroke are gone.I closed the program and returned to my work...Like normal I began by using the selection tool to click on the object I wanted to continue editing.However when I went to choose an object to edit, the object was then glitched/set to "no fill/ no stroke" and all of the color disappeared.I am now left with an entire scean of invisible lines.The more objects I try and click on in an attempt to find a solution, the more objects are glitched and lost. Is my work gone? Can this glitch be undone? Below are the objects that are now invisible ghost paths and scribbles.  PLEASE HELP! 

Omgosh I've searched 4 hours for this answer 😫.. I'm not even sure if I can word it correctly . I have text that I want to turn into a cut file . So I do "outline text" .. but it's cursive so each letter overlaps the next. How do I make this outline into one  shape without the intersections showing ?   

Hi I recently downloaded Illustrator onto an iPad mini 5th gen and I have not been able to open or create any files. When I log in, it crashed but lets me reopen the app, and then when I try to create or open files it either freezes or consistently has a loading sign. I've tried deleting the app, but no luck. Has anyone else had this issue?

I recently got an iPad and have been trying to learn how to use illustrator on the iPad since its different working with a touch screen then working in a desktop space. Im very confused how the shape tool functions especially the star tool. I want to add or subtract points to the star and it seems I am unable to. Am I missing something? I don't understand cause the triangle tool allows you to add sides to your shape, but I don't see any such slider for the star tool. I don't see why they would bother putting the star tool in the iPad version if you have no ability to change the number of points or the radius 1 or 2.

Can anyone tell me if there is a way you can adjust the pencil strokes to be less than 1 pt size in Illustrator on the iPad?(i.e.: .5, .75, etc.)Thank you kindly!

The little dark window that gives live position and dimension information is consttantly in my way; how do I shut that off? 

Does anyone know if there is a button that I may have accidentally pressed? All of a sudden I can not use any of the tools, not even select any objects on my canvas. I can select buttons from the toolbars but any tool that is selected has no effect when I touch the anything on my canvas. Is there a lock button somewhere? I am using Adobe Illustrator on 4th gen iPad. Thanks 🙏 

It stopped exporting in pdf. How can I fix it?

How to make 3D modelling in Adobe Illustrator mobile on my Apple iPad (I chose this version because it was way more much cheaper) hardware including Mesh Tool known from Desktop/PC version (not exactly cross-play platforming)?   [title renamed for clarity by moderator]  

Illustrator app can't open shapes from Capture, but Adobe Draw can? What am I missing? Why is it do hard to access both libraries and cloud docs from CC? Workaround?
