Hello.I've been working on an illustration (simple flat art) for few hours on the iPad Pro.Today, when opening the file on the iPad, the artwork that was within clipping masks isn't colored any longer. The clipping masks have been removed/released and the original shapes that were used to make the clipping masks have all disappeared.In the layers panel all vector shapes show colors in the thumbnails.However, when clicking on objects or shapes within the art boards, there are no colors, just outlines.The file is very simple with an imported photo in a locked layer. I've tried • Quitting illustrator on the iPad several times.• Rebooted my iPad• Tried to open the same file on my desktop to see if there was a previous version or if it would appear differently. The files thumbnails in both the home screen of illustrator on the iPad and the home screen/open file screen on the desktop both show thumbnails colored with the shapes that should be there.When the files are opened th

Hello, On Illustrator on desktop, when I draw and do inking, I use this function all the time:1) Draw strokes with the brush2) Select some strokes that I want to modify3) Draw on top of the the part of the stroke I want to modifyI can even select 2 seperate strokes and quickly connect them into one stroke this wayI attached a screencapture to be clear of what I mean. I'm looking for an app on the iPad that has this function. Doesn't seem like Illustrator on iPad can even make brush strokes at all (only brush 'blobs')... had a quick look at Adobe Draw and Adobe Fresco but doesn't seem like they have that function...Any idea of what is this modify-selected-stroke-by-drawing-on-top-of-it function called? So I can search for it... Hope you can help! 🙂  

Hi, I was wondering why there is no eye dropper tool on the ipad? This is something I use all the time on the desktop Illustrator and it's slowing me down a lot not having it (an eye dropper that selects lineweight and fill properties at the same time). Having to change each individual element by opening the color fill option, selecting the dropper tool which always takes a second to show a selector in the middle of the screen, and then moving the selector over the desired color is sort of frustrating when regular illustrator has a great tool already. Will this be added at some point? 

You used to be able to tap on the word "Artboard 1" above your board while inside the file and then go to Properties to change the artboard dimensions. That doesn't seem to be possible after the latest update. How do you change the dimensions of the artboard now?

So I use Illustrator on my computer but been wanting to move to a touch screen device, I have an iPad Pro and tried the app out but having a hard time navigating around the app. The main feature I use is the Unite tool in Pathfinder, I cant seem to locate this setting in the iOS app. Is this feature in the iOS version of the app? If not it looks like I will be purchasing a Surface Pro. Thanks for any tips!

I'm sorry if this has been asked as I can't find a way to just search this specific board but I went back a few pages and didn't see anything. I am using an iPad gen8 for illustrator, not a pro. I was getting along just fine doing drawings until the last few. First it began with one that I assumed I just completely overwhelmed due to complexity. It had A LOT of small paths specifically on one layer. I was completely unable to do anything on the excessively detailed layer and ended up duplicating the drawing and deleting it. I later combined multiple drawings into one on my actual laptop and was able to function it it fine but on the iPad I could not even click on or hide things on that layer. Then the past two drawings I've done the program seems to just stop responding sometimes when I try to click or move things around and so I typically would back out to let it save and go back in and it's fine but now it's getting stuck on the saving screen and I

Friends,   I'm looking for help with the ipad illustrator tool.  It doesn't seem to work properly for me.  *See attached picture.  I assumed it would work like, well, an eraser.  I assumed it could be just like in Procreate or similar.  But I get extra bubbles and extrusions and odd things.  Also, is there a way to have the pencil or pen tool act as an eraser?  Meaning: you can add a line and then make it erase or become transparent?  I also searched for tutorials on this but didn't see any.  Thank you!   {Renamed by MOD}

Every time I go to export on illustrator on the iPad it keeps coming out blurry. When I'm designing I'm using an A2 size and it says it's 300 ppi. Can you let me know how I can get the best quality export and what to do on the IPad? 

How do you crop and transform imported photos in Illustrator? I imported a photo i would like to only use a certain part of, but I couldn't figure out how to crop it nor transform it?

Hi. I have .ase swatch files stored on iCloud, which I use in the desktop version of Ai.   I am now confused as to how to import them into the iPad version of Ai - is this even possible, and if so, how. Thank you all in advance.   {Renamed by MOD}

I am trying to utilize the Capture program and it import into Illustrator to refine my designs.  If it manages to stay open, there is a 2 minute delay between anything I do and when it actually responds.  Mostly, it just closes itself randomly.  I pay a good bit for use of these programs and I definitely don't feel like I am getting what I am paying for. I have checked that everything is updated, and deleted and reinstalled, as well as completely signing out of my accounts and signing back in.  Nothing helps at all.  I am extremely frustrated and about to find other options if I cannot find a solution.  Here's specs and other info:   Crash Report: https://pastebin.com/vbwrBMJU

Hey guys, please help me, What is the easiest way to delete the intersecting Paths of layer 8, indicated in red below? As you can see in this case the outer shape is one path and the inner shape is another... Thanks, i can't for the life of me figure this out.  

I'm working with pattern and I'm getting an error when trying to quick export but it doesn't say why, can pattern files not be exported?

I have only recently started using adobe on the iPad and it was working fine for the first few days however now it has constraints locked ( I don't think i turned these on) and they wont turn off. All objects are locked to a fixed line and no longer con be moved around freely; it takes a while and a lot of patience. Also when i go to make a rectangle it will only make fixed squares? How do I turn this off?

I created a layer then used the pencil or pen tool to draw a shape.  The shape is always filled with a color at 100% opacity.  How do I draw a shape with a fill color at less than 100% opacity?  

Is it possible to reshape part of a path by drawing with the pencil tool? If yes, how? 

Please help! This is driving me crazy! 

I can't save as individual files. The artboards are always lumped together, and it says save 8 images or 8 items. Is there a solution to this? I want to export 1 artboard not all of them, like we can on desktop Illustrator.
