Hi, i made two buttons in indesign, one show the answers (on top of a text field) and the other hide the answers. Everything was fine and working very good. But i don't know what i did, that the file i save now (interactive pdf) it's showing the answers but also the text from text field, the answers are behind the text field, but in the layers they are positioned correctly. Before was everything working fine, but i messed something that i can't find out, and the all document is like this now and i can't revert this. Could someone help me please? I'm sending a print screen for you guys to understand better. Thanks in advance

Estas Fontes no Indesgin viram mesmo uma Dor de Cabeça - todos os cantos da fonte que tenham a opção variável, esse espaço irá aparecer como irregularidade (aberto/vazio) e quando a Solução ... Poderia passar pelo criar um Outline ... Pathfinder/ Add do Indesign - Este Achata/ Cria uma Forma Única, só que mantêm as Irregularidades como se um "Extrude - Adobe Illustrator", tivesse sido feito! Agora pergunto!? Se o Adobe Illustrator o PathFInder/ADD faz esta tarefa na Perfeição ... Porquê O Indesign, que é um Programa de Paginação/ Artes-Finais, Carece desta Opção numa Ferramenta que faz parte da Edição! I made a 'Next Paragraph Style' that i working when I write directly in my document. But when importing text from Word and customizing the text, there is no option of overriding paragraphstyles with 'Next styles'.The problem is, that after a subheading, I want the normal text to NOT make a tab, but when the normal text is coming continusly, I want a tab when there is a new section of text. How do I make that work without having to make the copywriter doing the styling manually in the word document? It would be nice if the text after a subheading was just ALWAYS the paragraphstyle that I automated as 'next style'. So when for example moving af subheading, the paragraph style would move with it. Is that possible to do, and how?

After the last update everytime i exit full screen preview of my document. Just wondering if anyone is having the same issue and if there is any fix. MacOs Ventura 13.0.1Mac Intel Core i7

Lately when I open a doc and try to change the margins, the margins don't actually adjust in the file. I think this is a recent problem since I upgraded to the lates ID. Anyone else having this problem?

Can a color palette be made to inherit color values in one direction? Like the paragraph style based functionality.   An example: A color palette: color values are C100,M100,Y20,K0 When the B color palette inherits the A color palette, the color value of B is also C100,M100,Y20,K0.   Now there is a hue percentage change function, but they have the same parent name and child name, which is inconvenient. Hi everyone/anyone,I had ChatGPT write me a script that does the following things:name whatever group/frame/compound path i have selected "Die Line" and then populate those measurements, width ×  height in millimeters to a field in my Slug called "Dimensions".The problem is that the measurements are wrong! I'm testing it on a 25mmw x 20mmh frame with a .5pt stroke aligned to the middle, and the measurements it outputs are 90mm x 87.01mm. I have a pre-existing InDesign document that I have built multiple versions of over the past year. All of a sudden, when I try to copy and paste from any of the previous versions into a new version, InDesign crashes. I can copy and paste from any other InDesign document into that new version without any problems. Any ideas…

I'm posting this as one question because I suspect they are symptoms of the same issue--no published online documents seem to be working, at least for me. Today I finished updating a document that I had previously published online. But when I tried to update it, the dropdown menu wouldn't populate with *any* of my previously published documents. I pulled up my publish online dashboard in the browser, and all of my previously published online documents are listed. But, when I click on them, I get a 503 Server error. Every single one!  I suspect that's why the previously published list won't populate. It seems to happen with others publish online documents as well. (Browsing this forum it's easy to find links people dropped for troubleshooting. None of them work for me, all 503 server errors.) I don't see an outage report for online publishing on the Adobe status page, but I also don't see it as an option in the dropdown either.

This is the most annoying thing I have ever dealt with. I work in InDesign regularly designing magazines. Lately, I have been getting the spinning pinwheel of death everytime I toggle back and forth between InDesign and Chrome. My clients mark up files in Dropbox so I need to toggle back and forth a lot.  Everytime I toggle back to InDesign, I get the pinwheel of death. It was getting so bad I actually bought a new Mac Mini. I thought it was my 7 year old MacBook Pro. But...its STILL happening.  I have done the following. 1. Exported as IDML and reopened and resaved.2. Deleted InDesign preferences (numerous times)3. Turned off GPU4. I have Typical Display on for viewing images.5. Deactivated tons of fonts in FontBook (I primarily use Creative Cloud fonts) I have to quite InDesign and restart my machine at least 3 times a day.  Can someone PLEASE tell me what is wrong? I just spent $2000 to fix this problem and its still happening.  Is i

I very rarely use right aligned text (maybe ten times in a career of 40 years) but I have a use for it now in a book. How do I align right aligned headings but still have the ability to adjust them so that they align visually? The heading is over 3 lines - the first ends in a colon, the second ends in N and the third line a T and they all need spacing so that the right line ends looks visually aligned.     <Title renamed by MOD>

Hello All,   Need help in finding a way to set a GRIP, extension, or something for LONG URLs.  ----Word file placed in a 40-page journal or other pubs, that contain exceptionally long URLs. Many are from foreign sites which get translated into English as noted in the sample screenshot. Is there some way to set up a style, GRIP to shorten these long translated URLs into shorter lines of code, or non at all without me having to rename them or figure out where to "cut the code"? We can have over 50 URLs in one pub so converting them one-by-one is not an option. Also, I'm not a GRIP composer, so if someone provides support/recommendation, please be willing to illustrate the GRIP code.Thank you for any support provided.      <Title renamed by MOD>

I'm in the process of formatting a document that imports property tables from Excel. Before the new update, I automatically had a link between my Excel document and my Indesign document. This allowed me to easily track updates to my Excel document. However, since the new update, as soon as I import my tables, the link is no longer there. But when I try to import them into a document dating from before the update, the link is created automatically. I've tried comparing my import parameters, but I can't find the problem...My only solution is to copy/paste from an old document. Does anyone have this problem or a solution for creating a link? Thank you!

All my online publications via indd.adobe.com are not working anymore. Is this a common problem? If so, when will it be fixed?

I just fell over a silly lapse. I edited a document which has a "status date" and I missed out updating that status date. So I needed to return and edit a second time just to update the silly date. I was wondering if there is not a possibility to set that date automatically. Looking in the help files, I only found automatic page numbers (but also there I was missing the "total numbers of pages" tag).FYI: I'm using CS5.0 (ID 7.0.4).Lucien.

I believe Adobe InDesign is down or something?? As all of our company .indd published projects that we send to our clients with the ttps://indd.adobe.com URL seem to result in HTTP ERROR 503 (server is down). Is this a short term fix? What could have caused this? We need those links working today! Thank you!!!

The problem comes up again and again, the search is limited to “Documents” and “All Documents”?Even if your cursor is in an article, there is no “Article”, no “Selection Options”. You create another new document with the same problem.Unless you restart InDeisgn. Version 2024.19.5 

Hi Does anyone know how to tag and add alt text for graphs (brought in as AI files) from illustrator please? The <figure> tag doesn't seem to come up in 'object export options'? I tried ID on a friend's computer for like 5 minutes and gave up over this problem (and a failed attemption of switching UI language)This bug is just, incredibly ridiculous. 连(connection)字 is ligature, 断(break)字 is hyphenation. (The misunderstanging probably cause by the character "hyphen (-)" is called 连字符 in chinese)I get it that most Chinese UI users don't need those functions, yet it's still so confusing how an international software can have such idotic performance for multi-language users.I didn't use it any further but I'm afraid it's not the only problem.
