objects are overlapping when align to the center of the page indesign

Hi there, I want to align multiple objects to the center of the page/margins. When I select multipe objects, then choose align to page/margin, then align to center horizontal or vertical, all the objects are overlapping in the center of the page. Does anybody knows a solution?
