Unable to Open InDesign Files and PDFs After Saving to OneDrive or Local Drive

Question

I'm getting this InDesign error below when I try to open up an Indesign file that I had saved down either to my Onedrive or a traditional drive. I also can't open the related pdf that I had created using the Indesing file. I was previously able to open with 2023 version of Indesign but that doesn't work anymore. Any help would be much appreciated.

I totally understand how frustrating it is to encounter issues when you can’t open your important files-especially after everything was working fine with InDesign 2023! Let’s get this sorted out for you.

Could you please share the version of InDesign you're currently using, as well as the details of your operating system? Also, is this issue happening with just this file, or are you experiencing it with multiple files?

In the meantime, we’d recommend you to check the file paths and see If the files are stored on OneDrive, try moving them to a local drive and open them directly from there. Cloud syncing can sometimes cause file corruption.

If possible, could you also share the InDesign file and the related PDF with us for testing? This will help us better understand what's happening and assist you more effectively.
