Book - Completed Book Now Empty, Photos Still Showing As Selected

Hi. I have completed a 40 page book in the Book option but it has been replaced by an empty, new book.  No idea how/why.  It is still showing with the same name in the Collections window, yet the book is empty/returned to default.  However, the photos in the selection bar at the bottom of the screen are still marked as selected/added to the book.  See photo below.
Any advice on how to re-populate the book as before erasure?

Do you have a catalog backup? If so, replace the catalog by that backup copy (you need to unzip it first) and see if that solves it.

Successful reload from backup.  Many thanks for your assistance.
I recall the issue occured when I used CTRL-Z to attempt to 'unmove' an image between cells, so won't be trying that again.  Many thanks.
