Question

Lightroom Classic 10.0 is sluggish and slow after the update on Windows 10

After upgrading Lightroom to the lastest version (10), the software is sluggish! I'm using a HP ZBook Workstation with 32 GB of ram.

The software was working fine before the "upgrade". I've work on the same images before and after the "upgrade".

Anyone else experiencing similar issues?

Hi there,

Sorry that Lightroom Classic version 10.0 is not working as expected as it is running slow and not responding at times.

Could you please take a look at the basic list of troubleshooting steps in this help article Troubleshoot Adobe Lightroom problems, issues, or bugs and let us know if that helps the cause?

Thanks,

Akash

Please please post your own problem.

Why?

  • You may note that this is a two year old post that the author never replied. Basically a dead post
  • You can assume that the Lightroom is several versions old than what you have now
  • You can assume that the OS is several updates/fixes older than what you have now.

Note, you state desktop version. That may or not be Classic, Adobe often refers to that lousy cloud based copy as Lightroom Desktop, lately as Lightroom Ecosystem. If your Lightroom Classic is v11.5 then Ok, this community, if your desktop Lightroom is 5.5 then the Lightroom Ecosystem (Cloud Based) community.

Also, please include your system info as LrC reports it, following is a SOP on that

Please post your System Information as Lightroom Classic (LrC) reports it. In LrC click on Help, then System Info, then Copy. Paste that information into a reply. Please present all information from first line down to and including Plug-in Info. Info after Plug-in info can be cut as that is just so much dead space to us non-Techs.
