Unable to change DNG back to color after converting to B&W

I'm using the current (16.2) version of LR Classic.

I used the B&W button in the Develop module to change it from color to b&w, but am unable to change it back to color.

When I drop down the profile menu the only choices are color and monochrome. I can see all the choices in the profile browser, but all are versions of monochrome.

Am I missing something, is this a permanant change, or a bug?

In the Develop module, look at the History panel on the lower left and click the step before you converted to B&W.  That will remove the conversion.  You can also right click and select "Clear History Above This Step".

That is a great idea. I can't believe I didn't think of that. Too much "panic" mode I guess.
However, I don't have the chance to try that out, because I had to re-start LR, and when I did my photo was back to color.
That would have been another good option, and I can't believe I didn't think of that either.

Many thanks to all. (and yes, I incorrectly gave my version of PS instead of LR)

Next time when you clicked on the B&W button and then change your mind, click on the B&W button again...

I think you may be confusing versions. The latest version of LrC is 13.2

I find I only see profiles when dealing with the original RAW image. Once transformed to DNG, the choices are limited.

Have you tried pressing the RESET button at the bottom of the Develop control panel?
