Importing JPEGS when it's a RAW file

Any ideas please!?

I import RAW files onto my Apple devices via the Fuji app. It clearly says RAW in the photo at the top left of the photo on the MAC photos app. However when I go to add photo's in Lightroom (version 9.0) I often get a jpeg as the imported file after I've clicked the review for import file. Annoyingly I now have to go via photos and choose edit in lightroom but that only gives me a TIFF not the RAW file I really want?

. I'm on a MAC Air, M3.

Hi @jerome_7017, welcome to the community!
When you import from Photos, it converts everything to JPEG to keep any edits you’ve made. If you want the original RAW files, you’ll need to dig into the folder structure to find them. The easiest way, though, is to import straight into Lightroom from your SD card instead of going through Photos first, this skips the middle step and keeps your files as they are.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. We’re happy to help!
