Just got lightroom CC and Photoshop CC on trial basis. Very disappointed to know that I cannot load multiple images from lightroom to photoshop as stack. How can Adobe designers overlook this vital feature. I do manual compositing in Photoshop.

Besides, it takes less time to load a file directly from computer than loading a single image from lightroom cc to photoshop cc.

Yes only one image can be opened at a time from LRCC. I think this is because a tiff file needs to be automatically generated from the cloud. For compositing I would always use separate images in folders on my computer e.g. not in the cloud. Then there is no worry about affecting the stored edit settings. As you say it is quicker to open local files directly in PS. You could install Bridge which I think is presently a free app. It is a browser that will display all thumbnails, so there is no need to import anything and you can open multiple files into PS with a single right-click.
