Lightroom freezing and slow

Hello, 

I am writing to report ongoing and very frustrating issues with Lightroom. The program repeatedly freezes and shuts down by itself, causing me to lose hours of work because the edits are not saved. After it crashes, my entire system restarts, and Lightroom reverts to previous versions of my projects. It even reopens old folders from the previous day instead of the ones I was currently working on.

 

In addition, the software runs extremely slowly. Every single change takes ages to process, making my workflow unbearably inefficient.

These problems have become a serious obstacle to my work, and I would really appreciate your assistance in resolving them as soon as possible.

Hey, @7236463_Janíková5507. Welcome to the Lightroom Community. I'll need more info to help you figure this out. I couldn't find crash reports submitted with the account you've signed in to the community with. If you see a crash dialogue, submit it with your Adobe ID. You can also monitor the Windows Event Viewer > Windows Logs > Application Logs to check for error reports and share them here. 

 

If the entire machine crashes, it is not likely related to Lightroom alone; it could be a separate hardware or operating system issue. 

 

Please apply any pending Windows and driver updates on this machine.
