I just spent a lot of time trying to understand why Mixamo refused to import the rigged mesh I did in Blender, although I have another one for which it works like a charm. So I'm posting this in case it might help others. Turns out, the FBX file that didn't work contains reference to the textures (as can be found when opening the FBX file in 3D Viewer on Windows 10) and the one that works no. So, as there is no way to disable materials in the FBX exporter, the fix is to remove the material from the meshes before the export. Then Mixamo correctly imports the FBX file. I didn't try to upload a .zip file containing the texture files to see if it fixes the problem too.
Hi I got a wierd problem. Easiest way to explane is like below: If I copy keyframes from a animation from Mixamo to a Character I downloaded from Mixamo, the Character will run the animation perfectly. If I copy keyframes from a animation from Mixamo to a Character I Rigged in Mixamo, the Character will run the animation perfectly, but the Hips-bone will hold the character at the same position (when the animation runs). The armature looks exactly the same. Any Idea anyone? Thanks in Advance Ken
Hi Everyone, I hope you are well and staying safe. I have some small Fuse updates: For those still able to launch Adobe Fuse, I have updated my Child figure to improve the lips, eyes, mouth, hands, and fingers.Upgrade by replacing the preset folders. Your Fuse scenes and presets that reference the Child body base will load with the new geometry. An updated OBJ is also included. And for those with the legacy Mixamo Fuse from Steam, I have imported the base body and ported over the 4 Child presets. Some differences in the skin substance and morph sliders, but this is the full (updated) Child body running in legacy Fuse. The bonus 'AgedCharacter' Fuse scenes will also open in legacy Fuse, but some of clothing is missing. Legacy Fuse is free (you'll need to join Steam). Both Mac and Windows versions are available (32bit-only, will not run under current MacOS). If there is any interest I might upload my old Mixamo freebies. My last bit of news is that
Are there beginner tutorials for Mixamo? I accidentally uninstalled Fuse and so I'm out of luck apparently to learn Fuse CC. I assume you can do Fuse things in Mixamo? Thanks for any insight,Kevin
I am able to upload a custom character and apply animations and everything looks great in Mixamo, however if I export using the default FBX option and import into Maya, the model only exports with 1 bone and not the expected joint hierarchy.
The standard idle animation on Ybot which looks fine in mixamo but if i export using the default FBX options into Maya, the ball joints of the feet will be rotated upwards slightly which is affecting further issues in my pipeline.
When animating a character, how do you attach a weapon with the soldier animation, firing strafing running etc Thank youWayne
Hello, question I am developing a game on unity and I wanted to use some animation from mixamoI saw that I am allowed to use them as long as I won't sell them or something like that? Is all the animation that mixamo has created it's from users or the company? if from users how can I be sure they did not copy it from other websites?Am I allowed to sell it as in-game animation and stuff like that? (not the files of course) thanks for helping, I just want to verify that it's safe to use and I won't get sued.
Hello, I understand that we can use Mixamo characthers freely. However there is something unclear for me. Let's say i have Mixamo characthers as heroes in my game and i have an in game currency as gold. And players can buy that gold currency with in app purchase. Now, can i charge lets say 100 gold for switching Mixamo heroes as avatars, for players?
So, I am having an ISNANE amount of problems loading in this low poly humanoid character. I have searched everywhere for answers but can not seem to find any. If you can think of it, I have probably tried it. Exporting different ways, changing from a normal pose to a T-Pose, etc. I can not for the life of me get this to work. Mind you, last night I got a similar (not exact same) modle to work perfectly first try, so I am thouroughly confused here. I am on character version 28, and it still is not functioning, so I have come to you all for assistance. As you can see, a lot of stuff is happening here.
With the FBX SDK upgrade in Mixamo from 2014.x to 2019.1, the output FBX file format was also upgraded from 7.4 to 7.5. Some users with older tools reported compatibility issues or the inability to import the new FBX files. As a remedy, we have added a compatibility option to enable exporting the previous FBX file version 7.4. This option is available in the download format pulldown menu.
Hello, I was wondering if it were at all possible to request an animation to be available from the Mixamo Catalogue, that being of a Saxophone Player.
I've downloaded four different animations from Mixamo, I was wondering if I can somehow "merge" them all into one, thanks.
Hi, I want to download Jog Backward Diagonal named animation and also I want it to be In Place. When I check In Place, It works noramlly. But in this animation it doesn't work perfectly. Charcater is still moving to his left. I think maybe it just in the site, So I tried to download and use it in Unity. But it moves in gmae engine, too. I don't know if it just me or someone is having problem with this. If you help me, I will be appreciate it. Thanks!

Hey, may i use animations on my own models for my commercial steam game? And on common questions it says:You can use both characters and animations royalty free for personal, commercial, and non-profit projects including:Incorporating characters into illustrations and graphic art3D printing charactersCreating filmsCreating video games -I just dont get the non-profit part there, they cant be commercial and non-profit at the same time right? Why its pointing non-profit? Or does it mean like we can use it for personal or commercial or non profit (like which one we want) ?
Hey, i am facing some issues with the textures of my humanoid 3d model when i am exporting it from mixamo. I had imported them to mixamo from blender for rigging. After the rigging process is done in mixamo, the model appeared to be in good condition in the 3d viewport of mixamo with proper textures and mesh. But when i export it as an fbx, the model seems to be glitchy, its specular map seems to be altered and its normal map is missing, even though the model is in its perfect condition in blender. Also, whn i tried exporting the model as a .dae file it gets exported as an . Anyone else facing the same issue?

Hello, in Mixamo, I would like to consider the possibility of being able to put the camera in a completely vertical top perspective.Currently there is a limit on the camera angle, which means that you cannot get a complete vertical top view.
Whenever I download fbx or collada and import it in blender, there are missing textures, animations. How can I fix it?
If I upload my own characters to mixamo are those shared or made public to anyone else? The FAQ says only the last character is stored but are these shared with anyone else?
I'm attempting to get a Fortnite character model into Mixamo through Blender. In Blender, the textures look fine, so I export as an OBJ to start. Obviously, OBJ's don't have textures, so how might I be able to add a texture post-mixamo in Blender? After OBJ's didn't work, I try zipping the given MTL and OBJ files together, and it comes out with a strangely lit model that also doesn't export out of Mixamo with any of the correct tectures. Finally, FBX's. These are confusing as all heck. I exported one of my character models as FBX and imported it to Mixamo. It came out with a perfectly textured head, but no textures anywhere else. Any help is appreciated. I've spent 3 days working something out.
What happened to the program? I wanted to export a character to the Maximo site, but it did not work. In Adobe support did not help me sent me to the forum. What does it mean? The program doesn't work anymore? What to do?Thank you for your support.
Dear Adobe Support, I just feel all sad that you have ended this Fuse 3D support and never bring it back... Everyone in tis world needs Fuse and Mixamo back together again, I need Fuse and Mixamo back together again, too. Could you do me a favor and please bring it back, not just only me, but for the entire fans and modellers around the world, just for old time's sake? We all couldn't live without Fuse... :'( Sincerely yours,Tay Rushing.
Just wondering, I put a 1:1 scale mannequin into Maximo (from blender). Once it's loaded, i'm able to allocate a pose/animation. However, when exported as fbx the scale of the mannequin has dramatically reduced (and isn't to scale). I would increase the scale in blender but the mannequin is anatomically correct and I can't seem to get the measuremnets as needed in the desired pose. Thanks for any help in advance.
