I have worked the same way in photoshop a really long time. But in the last two weeks it seems I have been struggling with banding and harsher edges to the soft brushes. I can't seem to get a nice smooth look especially when using black. Seems all the brushes are doing it including default brushes. My co-workesrs are NOT having the same issue even if they open my same file (I am on a mac and they are on a PC). If they open the file they can get smoother opacity edges without the banding and weird antialias look to the edge. Opacity and flow does not seem to make a difference in the banding. I also feel that using the brush at 1% opacity still doesn't act normal and takes off too much. Attached are some examples. I did do a recent update in the last 2 weeks. Not sure if that is coincedince or if it stated after the update. Happens in both the regular photoshop and Beta photoshop. Happens with all the brushes including the default soft round. Images used to generate fast, now the green bar gets stuck at near 100% and it usually just times out before generating anything. When it times out, I get this error message: “The service is not responding. Please check your internet and try again.” But my internet is actually quite fast. According to the Ookla Speedtest, my download speed averages about 600 Mbps while my upload speed averages 100 Mbps. I’m running the latest version of the Beta. I tried uninstalling it and deleting the preferences before reinstalling. This made no difference. One thing that might be worth mentioning. Is that my Creative Cloud Membership is from the United States, but I’m currently in Israel. Is it possible that would cause Photoshop to try to connect to a processing server in the US rather than one that is close by? I’ve never had this problem before in Israel, so I doubt it, but I have no idea how that works.

Try generative expand on a very contrasty B&W photo and it will generate convincing backgrounds except purple in hue, difficult to fix in post for my smooth brain. My Creative Client does only show Illustrator Beta. And after a long search I finally found the install button on adobe.com and it brought me back zu the cloud and showed me Photoshop Beta - frist steps. But when I click on the button nothing happens. This is very frustrating, can somebody help me?

After the last update, problems arise again - the palette opening function (main color), recorded on the "K" key, does not work

Photoshop beta desktop latest update on windows 11. The layer mask thumbnail in the layers panel does not refresh when brushing on a photo.

I have updated my MacOS to the latest developer beta version which iis beta 2. However, whenever am trying to open photoshop it crashes immeditaly when I use magic eraser or when I am using Openraw. I don't know what is the issue and I would appericate if someone can suggest any soultion for this issue.  

Hi, Ever since I updated to latest version, if I go to camera raw and open the presets tab it crashes. every single time in  both beta and normal version.

In the new Beta photoshop, the remove background and replace option has dissapeared. I cannot find it or access it.

Currently my 25.11.00 release is not giving me an option to run a generative fill. Not running an expension but replacing elements.Selection is made using laso tool, the button is greyed out and not givien an option to generate.   

Hi Team, I would need help in getting PS(beta) version installed in my iMac. I can see the Beta apps option in the Macbook creative cloud, but in the iMac creative cloud the Beta option aren't enabled or not available. Can someone help me understand how to avail that option. I am trying to use the Firefly addon in PS. 

When I try to open Photoshop from within Lightroom Classic 13.4, two problems emerge:Firstly a grid appears over the photo which I cannot get rid of.Secondly, the toolbar on the LHS of the screen does not appear. Photoshop defaults to Beta 25.9.1.Kindly advise on a solution.

I was able to use gen fill about 3-4 days ago. Now it doesnt do anything. ill explain my process.1: open file and use lasso tool to select area for removal.2: hit the gen fill, and generate.3: it goes thru the progress bar and then when done. nothing has changed. same pic from original and the other samples.I have uninstalled and reinstalled, have uipdated and am using current programs beta and original. neither work.i am signed in adobe cc and im not using grayscale and my layer isnt locked. Is something wrong with the lasso tool? is something clicked that shouldnt be? It was fine 3 days ago. I am on a mini mac with 400gb free space on drive. My mac was updated over a week ago to Sonoma 14.5 Photoshop is 25.9.1

Hello, After the latest update, generative expand seems to behave poorly - the transition between the original shot and the AI expanded areas is very pronounced and doesn't look good at all.I haven't experienced this with previou versions which were prefect.Has anybody else experienced this ? Thanks

Ever since the latest upgrade, and a new Studio Mac, none of the keystrpkes work. Changing brush size brackets, c for crop, b for brush - none of them. My keyboard is new and works perfectly everywhere else. Setting have installed all the keystrokes. Any help appreciated!

Hello, I have a bug where I use the generative fill features for example to generate more image to an image (make the image larger using AI) but it won't show on the active image / preview, but it will show on the generated variations (3).Im using 24.7v. I first started using it in 24.6v and everything was okay, then this started happening last week and today I updated to 24.7v but it's still happening.  SPECS:-i3 6100U-920MX-16GB 2133MHz-Plenty of SSD storage I know my specs are very poor to run photoshop but as I said, everything was running great, maybe slow until this started happening.Any fix?

I was usinng Generative AI then i pressed something like remove it from the screen. So now I can not find how to turn it back. 

This is one of the most exciting features I have seen. I use Filter Forge sometimes, but it is clunky to have an image open in another program. I think parametric filters will be able to do many of the things Filter Forge does while having the power of being a native smart filter. I'm learning how to use Substance Designer just to create my own Parametric Filters. The filters fill gaps I have always felt were missing from Photoshop.I currently mostly use the filters with photo compositing, doing things like lightning effects and "degrading" things like 3D renders that look too perfect. I think it also has amazing potential for uses like text effects, 3D effects, metallic effects, etc.There is only one major thing I would love to see changed. I would love for it to apply to the layer I'm on, and not make a duplicate, especially if it is already a smart object. (currently, even if the layer is already a smart object, when first applying a new Parametric filter, it makes a new smart objec
