Question

Adding photoshop file with video to my Microsoft Outlook signature line

We currently use a signature block on our emails.  I was able to get a burning candle into my photoshop file and rendered the video to save as an mp4.

Now I'm trying to get that signature line into my email. I can follow some of the online instructions but then I get to a question about what format the file is converted from.  That part is hanging me up.   Does anyone have any experience with this?   Maybe I need to do it in another program. Thanks so much for any suggestions you may have.

Thanks for the information about the gif. I did convert the file earlier to a gif but Windows outlook doesn't support using that type of file so I won't be able to use that kind of file either.

Appreciate you responding.

Hi @bgrosz. I think you might be better using a .gif file for the flickering candle flame. You need to convert the .mp4 file to an animated .gif in Photoshop before placing the .gif file into your email signature. Steps to do the conversion are here:

Save and export video and animations in Photoshop (adobe.com)

Also, keep in mind that some email software may not support a .gif animation in an email signature. Let us know how it goes!

You probabably want to turn it into an animated GIF. Some email apps might not play it, however.
