Adobe Photoshop v. 24.1.1, Mac Mini M2, OS Ventura 13.3.1. Unable to reinstall Photoshop.

Adobe states I must reinstall Photoshop.  Each time I try, all I get is "Retry"

Macbook air M2 15". Can download but the .dmg doesn't open. No error messages.

Hi @Bunchie317430862521 downloading what as a dmg? Creative Cloud app?

There have also been many other users with M2 Macs that have success by first installing Rosetta and then proceeding with the photoshop install.

To install Rosetta, open the Terminal app and type “softwareupdate --install-rosetta”.

 

Also you say 24.1.1 is the photoshop version.

Is there a particular reason your not installing the latest photoshop 2023 (ps ver 24.3)?

I have a Mac Mini M2, and I'm unable to install Photoshop.  Everything I've tried is not working.  

My case number apparently has expired.   AdobeLogs_20230411_143009_876-mac-GS.zxp

I decided the only thing left was to uninstall Ps using Creative Cloud.  

I installed Rosetta 2, then restarted my mac.

Back to Creative Cloud again to install Ps and got the same warning - "Installation failed - Retry"  

I have tried "Retry" many many times.  Note: Ventura is up to date: v.13.3.1

Would appreciate any help. --Jess

Try rebooting the Mac, then try install again. 

You could try running the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to remove all traces of the Adobe software before reinstalling it (yet again):  https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

Thank you for your help and patience. I finally got Rosetta 2 installed last night, but still unable to install Ps. I’ll try your suggestion.

I haven’t had time to use Ps in a while, but always keep my apps up to date. Usually get a notice from Adobe, when an update is available. So I can’t explain why I have v. 24.1.1.

@Reata Cowhand v 24.3 does not require Rosetta
