Yeah, you’re not alone, this change has been frustrating for a lot of people.
There hasn’t been a proper “replacement” for the old import/export presets feature yet, but there are a couple of practical workarounds you can use:
1. Manual preset file access (best workaround)
Most apps still store presets locally—you can:
- Go to the presets folder (depends on the software)
- Copy/export the specific preset files manually
- Share or back them up that way
It’s not as clean as the old export option, but it works reliably.
2. Export via full group (then isolate)
If the app still allows exporting a full preset group:
- Export the whole group
- Re-import it in another environment
- Delete the unwanted presets and keep the one(s) you need
Clunky, but effective.
3. Sync-based workaround (if available)
If the software supports cloud sync:
- Enable sync
- Let presets upload
- Access them on another device/account
Not ideal for single preset export, but useful for transferring sets.
4. Duplicate + isolate method
Some users duplicate a preset into a temporary group:
- Move only the needed preset into that group
- Export the group (if that option still exists)
