New computer - can't load Photoshop 7.0.1

Question

I have my disc and serial number. I'm running Windows 7. When I load the disc I get the "welcome to Adobe" screen, then the terms and conditions, then the installation screen. I click on the "install Photoshop 7.0.1" button, and my security program asks if I want to let this program make changes to my computer - I click yes. Then nothing happens. The drive goes quiet, and there's no activity. I know this is not a supported program anymore, but does anyone have any ideas?

Try this procedure for 7.Here’s how you install Photoshop 6.0 on Win 7 x64:Run msconfigSelect Diagnostic startupReboot computerLocate Photoshop file setup.exe (it's in sub directory "Adobe Photoshop 6" on the CD)Right click on setup.exe and choose Run as administratorNow the installation program should start, it did for me at least.Go through installation as usual.Run msconfig againSelect Normal startupReboot computerSuccess!

First you should check that your hard drive doesn't have more than 1 TB of free space, since photoshop 7 won't work on drives with around 1 TB or more of free space.
