Photoshop crashing on start due to driver and direct x error

Please help. I have tried all the suggestions from the other threads and it apprears everything is in order. Driver is up to date and Direct X 12.

1) Latest version off creative Cloud

2) Windows

Noted, thank you. It is an old computer. After changing a few preferences I can still use it if I move the error message to the side 🙂

Your GPU only has Feature Level 11.1. It needs to have 12.0.

 

The feature level is the GPU's actual physical capabilities, what it can do. It's a hardware requirement, not a software requirement. It's not something that can be updated. You need a newer, better and more powerful GPU.

 

This is not the same thing as DirectX 12 "support". That only means it supports the DirectX 12 APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) - it speaks the correct language, as it were, but that doesn't mean it can actually execute all the functions in the DirectX 12 specification.

 

In any case, integrated Intel graphics is very marginal for Photoshop. It may work, but often doesn't. You just need something better.
