having this issue for a while now and it drives me nuts!! I work professionaly with Photoshop for illustration and photo manipulation.

I use: Adobe Photoshop Version: 21.0.0 20191018.r.37 2019/10/18: 614690fb487 x64

What happens:

Having any brush sellected.. even the simple round hard brush.. Photoshop freezes for small and large moments when i am painting. So imagen i am creating some lines.. and suddenly it stops...nothing works, only the mouse pointer is active. When i alt-tab to a other screen and do something there, the brush strokes appear and i can continue drawing. When off course, this happens over and over again. The freeze moments change in periode,.. short ones and large ones.

Photoshop says it is 100% effiencey. There is 32GB memory inside the computer, it is a 6 core CPU and the rest of the computer is doing fine! This is only Photoshop having a struggle.

It reached a point that i am having a hard time doing my work! I need to deliver and i am facing deadlines.

Any thoughts?

Did you definately reset your Photoshop preferences, which you can do under the General Tab in Photoshop preferences?

How about the Graphic Card Driver ?

install the most recent graphic driver update,  you can also uncheck "use graphic driver " from Preferences -> Performance . restart Photoshop see if you get a better result "but this will disable many features "

I highly recommend Resetting Preferences Settings  after updating the graphic driver

I will give that a try Mohammed. I use an GTX1070 with 8GB mem. I will update the drivers, reset the preferences settings. I dont like to turn down the "use grpahic drivers" simply because i dont wat to miss the many features. It is my work and my daily driver. I can uncheck it for testing perpose off course.
