PS26.2, WIN11

----------------------------------------

I am not able to use PS since the app thhinks I am logged with another device, have anyone experienced similar issues? Support says there is an outage.... support is never reliable.  I experienced lots of troubles logging in in the past, so much I had to include swearing in my password to cope with frustration. Now I am writing ghere because I'm trying to be shut out after reseting password.... very risky.

I am logging with DESKTOPxxx

Happened to me once, maybe a year ago. Haven't seen it since.

You'll be offered to log out of one of the others, so that's what I did, and then logged in normally.

I think what happens is that it (for some reason) loses contact with the licensing information, so it thinks you're trying to log in to a third machine - but in reality, one of the two others is the very same machine you're sitting at. Just log out of that, and log back in, and everything returns to normal.

In other words, just a glitch, no need to reset or change the password.

In fact, this is the procedure you will use if you have it installed on three machines - which is perfectly legitimate. You just need to log out of one of the previous.

What I did do after this, was to write up the machine names to all my computers (DESKTOPxxx etc), so that I know which is which. You find this in Windows settings > System.
