The issue for @Pathfinder1966 is also that the Eraser tool is not working, the same as the OP in the original thread:

The only difference is that Pathfinder is using an iPad.

@Pathfinder1966 you do not need to create a new post since your question and my answer have already been moved.

@jane-e disagree - while the issue is the Eraser tool, this is not a desktop issue as with the OP. The thread was split because the scenario and the solution are different being on iOS/iPad.

On your iPad, go to App Settings > General > Advanced > Restore App Defaults
