I just purchased Photoshop 2025.  I'm watching a video on how to use the Smart Object feature, but it is missing from my Layers drop down.  It is not present when I right click either 

Everything acts like it is working, but when I clink on the spot I want to clone out nothing happens.  I'm running Win11

I am modifying several photos to a wider canvas size, but after opening the next group I want to work with the images background already are way wider than I want.  I must have done something but I cannot figure out what.   When I load new images it does the same thing.

Adobe Photoshop Elements 2019 installer window too small for page size can't see buttons to install. I use Windows 10 Professional x64. Elements 2018 worked fine

Been using PS Elements 2015 for nearly a decade.Upgraded to 2024.  Everything I try wants me to open a photo first or put text in a circle.  : (How do I make a simple word chart, perhaps even with bullet points?Old Grumpy Guy

Is it possible to do lens correction in camera raw 14.1 from Photoshop Elements 2022.I can not find it.

Hello, I am not able to import my RAW Fotos form my Sony Alpha 7R. I guess I have the latest update, because in the past I was ableo to import them. What could be the reason?

I am trying to isolate part of an image with a transparent background to use in other packages. I am using Photoshop Elements 2025 and have been able to create what I want and save it in PSD format, but I can't import that into Publisher. If I save in JPG the backgrouond isn not transparent, but white. Any ideas?  

Hello,My PSE2020 will not display Canon *.CR3 raw files properly.The original size is 6720x4480, but camera raw (V12.0) shows only 6320x3776.I uninstalled and reinstalled PSE, but again it contains only camera raw 12.0.So I downloaded and installed 14.5. But how can I remove 12.0 from PSE and integrate 14.5?I can convert any CR3 into TIF and then PSE reads the file in the original size.Who can help me? Kolonius

Two questions, hopefully that won't make things too confusing.  I have PSE 2022.My desktop is being overwhelmed by my photos so I'm planning on moving them to a 5T external hard drive. First question: is it better to move the photos and the catalog to the external drive or just the photos and leave the catalog on the desk top?Second question: when I travel I take with me a small laptop which I use to backup my photos.  I would like to be able to do some basic editing and lableing of my photos while I'm traveling so that I don't come home to such so many photos that need to be dealt with.  But I'm concerned that if I load PSE on my laptop and do editing on the road that when I return home and try to integrate them into my current catalog it will be a mess.Thoughts?Thanks!

When starting the Editor function the programme required me to sign in, which I did. But it won't open the Editor as another "Required sign in" pops up.Tried to re-install. Nada. Some say to sign in offline, but that isn't possible.Help?

I've been using Photoshop Elements 2025 quite a bit to edit pictures from a recent trip.  Today, I logged in, clicked on edit and got a message "Could not complete your request because of a program error."  After logging out and then in several times with no success, I deleted and then reinstalled the app.  Same problem occurred again.  Any idea how I can fix this and start using my app again?

I've just upgraded my computer to a faster model. with an intel i7 cpu, 32gb ram etc.When I reinstalled PSE 2024  I now keep getting a box coming up telling me I dont have all my plugins loaded when in Editor. I checked the list and its quite long.The program runs but theirs definatly things not the same as before when I was running on windows 10.I was wondering if their was a repair app that would analyse the software and repair whats missing.It is all loaded on a completly new SSD drive as I also upgraded to windows 11 at the same time.Any help would be grately received.Many thanks. In PSE 2024, when I click Help on the main menu, than any item in the dropdown list, I get a 404 error.  This has been confirmed by another user with PSE2024.  How can I fix this problem?

I have PSE 2023 on my Dell Window 10 laptop. I want to download it onto my new Lenovo Window 11 laptop. I signed in and selected the exe file but part way through the installation it stops with the message " The code execution cannot proceed because MSVCP120.DLL was not found".How do I solve this?Thanks

Howdy all,Okay, I have been using Adobe PSE for some time. I believe that I had this issue occur before but I don't remember if I did, what the solution was for getting the Toolbox to appear with all the tools, in a 2-column configuration. I must have accidentally hit a key-function / shortcut. I was working on an image and when I looked up, I was missing one column of tools. How to restore the 2-column appearance - please?I am using a MB Air with a 13.5" diag. screen. I have been using this MB Air and Adobe PSE 2023 for about 2 years or so and I know that there were toolsin the Toolbox, along the Left-border of the Adobe PSE window, arranged from top to bottom in a 2-column configuration. I am attaching 2 images - one showing my current (bad) tools configuration, and one showing the desired (good) tools configuration.                                           Thank you fo

Can Elements be downloaded to an iPad Pro?

Does anyone know if Adobe have now moved away from using Google Maps in Elements Organizer? I've just downloaded the 2019 trial at it appears that the Place tab is using Mapbox. I know Adobe had some issues with Google a while back leading to one of the recent versions not being able to display the maps in the Places tab. Maybe I shouldn't care which maps are used but I do prefer Google Maps so just wondering if anyone knows if this is a permanent move by Adobe away from Google?

I like to make postcards. I have purchased the required weight for the post office and have printed a few. The issue I have is the output of my photos printed on card stock. They obviously lack the punch of a print on glossy stock. Can you recommend a technique or way to increase the output to be a little more "punchy".Thanks very much. 

I am on PE 2024 trying to print a test page on 12x16" paper. Since 12x16 is not listed on the dropdown menu, I have to create it in my printer software dialog box. Heres what I do:File>print (PE dialog box)Click on Page Setup (takes me to printer dialog box)Click on Paper size (16x12")SaveNow I'm back in the PE print dialog boxUnder "select paper size", OTHER is selected in the dropdown boxUnder Select Print Size, I click on Actual Size (16" x 12")then i click on the print (blue button) and the 12x16" paper is loaded into my Canon printerWhat comes out is a crazy sized print that is NOT 12x16., it gets cut off the page. Can someone help me figure out how to do this PLEASE?? see screen shots of my printer dialog box and the resulting test print. thank you!

In my Photoshop 21 I was printing text on photos. Letter size froze as did  underline. Can't correct no matter what I do. Need to change letter size and don't want underline. Help!Bentley Dadmun

I've been having a recent issue with my Photoshop Elements 15 software on Windows 11, but the same issue persists in all Photoshop Elements editions, including 2024 and 2025. When trying to open a file via the Open button, the software can't load the folder/file structure, it simply locks up and becomes unresponsive. The message "We're working on it..." is displayed in the file window but nothing else happens. The only way to shut it down is via the Task Manager. I tried reinstalling the software, as well as installing other editions of Photoshop, including the trial versions of 2024 and 2025, but they all exhibit the same issue. They all lock up when trying to open a file. I also tried "repairing" or "resetting" Photoshop Elements in Windows Settings but it made no difference. If I "send" an image file directly to Photoshop, via the File Explorer or a file manager like Total Commander, then it works, PE opens the file without issue. Having had Greg's help I now have all my photos and the catalog folder on my external d drive.Rather than continue using my external hard drive, having bought a new laptop with a 1TB SSD I would like to go back to having my photos and catalog on my laptop new c drive.Is the best way to back up the d drive and then restore to the c drive, and if so which folder in c?Will this process move the actual photos themselves or just the Organiser catalog?Thanks

Hi, I'm new tophotoshop, and printing! I'm trying to print from organiser as imusing a photo package (printing two of the same images on one A4) everything works until the print preview, where there's only one image on half the sheet. I've been looking around and I can't see what I'm doing wrong!
