What is a good way to drag images from the photobin into a blank canvas without the image taking up the whole background/layer? I tried resizing the image beforehand but inserting the image into the blank canva causes the iamge to take up the same size? The goal of my prpoject is to drag and drop several smaller resized images into a larger canvas size.

I had a working Photoshop Elements 11 that could open the RAW files from my Lumix camera. Yesterday, I accepted an update of I don't know what, and this morning Photoshop can't open the RAW files anymore. Any clue / solution to what appenened ?

I was doing a lot of closeup spot healing, moving around the screen using space bar and mouse when I found this on screen, suddenly, out of nowhere.I am editing a TIFF file directly, no layers.  It's not just a display issue because if I save teh file the overlays atre saved too.It's happened a few times now.  Any ideas what causes it please?

After considerable work all morning on Photoshop Elements, and before having safegarded this work, Photoshop Elements suddenly disappeared from the screen of my PC. When I reopened the programme all the work of this mornung had disappeared. Are there  any possiblilties to retrieve it?

 I have recently purchased and successfully installed a PSE2021 upgrade to my PSE2015 and it all appears to be working perfectly. My question is can I uninstall 2015 and remove it from my hard drive, or is it still needed for the upgrade to work?

I have an image opened in Photoshop Elements 2020. I am attaching a photo of the image size. I need to print the image in portrait and image size 4 x 6. I don't have any 4 x 6 print paper, it will print on regular 8 x 11 matte paper. I have tried changing the image settings to 4 x 6 and to portrait but the result is only part of the image.https://1drv.ms/u/s!AoINWpJYOS0agfBSh0tJI9R0WqZECg?e=mvi1uD

I seem to have succeeded in removing all photo files and folders from the Organizer. However, I did get the message "Clear applied filter and try again" when it said "No Media Available." I read Community posts and found that if I want to import photos or see ones I want to see, I should check the boxes in View  Media Types and, perhaps, View Timeline.  But if I want to keep my photos deleted. Then I want to re-import "good" ones from an external hard drive or card reader. Before doing that, I assume that I should make sure the  View Media Types and View Timeline boxes are checked. Am I right?

Why can't I join 3 simple images together to make one larger image without getting the warning..........could not complete the move command because the result would be too big.........? My image setting is set to a max of 30,000 pixels, but I have resized these images to the same total or even under the 30,000 pixel limit and Photoshop still prevents me from doing this.  Sometimes it even prevents me from putting just one image in the blank file even though it has been resized to well under blank file settings. I have read it is something to do with pc Ram.  But my spec is Windows 10 - i7 - Ryzen7 8 core - 32gb Ram - Geforce 1660 TI 6gb graphics. So I would have thought no problem. The images are png's.  My Adobe is Photoshop Elements 13. Can anybody help please.

Hello, my question in short: How is it possible to batch-remove metadata (IPTC keywords) from files? Background, example workflow / situation:1. Tag files and save the metadata to the files.2. Find out later that a couple of tags are less than ideal, slightly change them in the catalog and save to file.3. What then happens is, that the original less-than-ideal tag is stored together with the new, better one in the file, which on the one hand I can understand that this makes sense in some way, but on the other hand though, this is in a higher sense obviously undesired, and does, on top of it, also not correspond to the situation in the catalog, where there is not the old and the new tag, but only the new.4. My solution to this situation was trying to remove als IPTC keywords first, and then re-store the new. Which should work, as the tags in the catalog and well-semicolon-separated IPTC keywords should be equivalent, I think. Only drawback are then performance-concerns wh

Hi, After losing all my photo folders in Picasa (which I have now removed from my computer) I have managed to retrieve them from my hard drive and loaded them into Photoshop Elements 11. I have dozens of duplicate photos but when I run the "find duplicate photos" section all it does is load the "similar photos" section. How can I remove all the duplicates?

If I try to use a pattern brush it shows cutoff lines like a non-seamless pattern. Is this usual? Thanks for any help or suggestions. This happens regardless of brush size.

I have done a search in this forum and haven't had success in finding what I need. I am not looking, at this point, to review my entire catalog for duplicates, only one folder with maybe 150 pictures. When I click on Find/ Duplicates, what I would *expect is that it would go through the 150 and, where there are duplicates, place them side by side so I could review and determine which one to keep and which to delete. (From other discussions in this forum, I imagine someone is going to ask why I want to do that. The answer is, the duplicates are not only in the catalog (where they could be -- I think the term is -- "stacked" and thus out of mind) but they are also in the folder on the hard disk where I keep these photos. I want to identify them and delete them there, too.) Now, back to my question: when I click on Find/Duplicates, *nothing like what I expect appears. In fact, it is very confusing. Is there guidance someone can point me to that would show how to accomplish this?

I have been trying to open my elements 13 on my MacBook and it for no reason states there is an error and I was signed out unexpectedly. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software and nothing changes. I'm using big Sur operation system that is fully uptodate. I thought of trying an upgrade but it appears I have to pay full price to do so. Any ideas how to get this working again ? Thanks. 

Dear Community, I bought Elements and it seems to be a big mistake.Unfortuneatly I cant open my NEF files from my Nikon Z6ii. Seems I have to download an extra Plugin named CameraRaw and it seems for the Z6ii it has te be min. CameraRaw 13.1I downloaded and installed 13.1 but still no progress. I am frustrated and angry, seems to be a big nightmare. For 90€ I expect a working program and I want to spend my time with photos and not with reparing a new software.Please help me!Thank you

Hello Everyone: I've used Photoshop Elements - PSE Versions 8, 15, and now 2021 - since I switched from film to digital photography about 15 years ago. I upgraded to PSE 2021 when I purchased my Nikon D500 that requires Camera Raw 9.5 or greater. After using PSE 2021 for five months I have two questions. First: Elements+:I have read about Elements+ on-line and in one photography book but haven't found any photos so far post-processed with Elements+. According to Elements+ site, Elements+ is an add-on that lets out the hidden functions of Photoshop Elements. These opened functions will appear immediately in PSE after Elements+ is installed. Elements+ appears to be a less-expensive was of risng above PSE's basic levels to a level closer, but not matching, what Photoshop CS/CC provides. Is Elements+ worth getting? Has anyone here used it? Is anyone aware of a quick way (or a filter) to allow me to convert an aerial survey photo taken with infra-red film to natural colours? Specifically this.... 

1. Assume one photo in Organizer of my daughter. Facial recognition is ON. She gets found and appears in a stack in Unnamed People. I provide a name (e.g. Ann). A facial stack with the name Ann gets created in Named People. Is that the only place that "Ann" appears? Will a Tag of some/any kind get automatically created such that it will appear in the Keyword/Tags/Info sidebar on the right of the Media display view? Where? That is, in which 'section'- Keywords, People Tags, Places Tags, Event Tags, other? 2. Assume two photos of me are added to the Organizer. Facial Recognition is turned OFF. I create a People Tag called Bob. I drag that tag to one of the photos of me. I turn on Facial Recognition. Will it find my face on both photos, or only the un-tagged one? Assuming that it finds both, I get an Unnamed People stack of two images of me. I provide the name Bob to the stack and it appears in Named People. Clicking on it shows two photos of me. Often (not always) when I perform an operation on a layer (for example adjust lighting from the enhance menu) the image in the layer disappears and the layer turns transparent. Often (not always) brush strokes fail to show up on a layer mask. This never happened on my previous version of PSE and needless to say is extremely irritating. If I stop and save the work as a psd and then reload it into elements, the image in the layer shows up again and the brush strokes on a layer mask that I could not see magically appear. Any thoughts?

My old Windows Surface tabled died. I was able to signout from my installation on that PC and i received the message that i should be able to signin on a new PC. But it won't.I tried to chat with support but we are going in circles.First only kb articles that are subscription based,,, after several time telling that it is not a subscription based software they send me the links i already knew about deactivating/logging out from the old PC to be able to login on the new one.
