I am using PSE 18, and I am organizing photos into albums. I would like to view only the photos not assigned to any album. Is that possible?

I see this is a common question for this version.    I originally purchased the combined package back in 2016 with Premiere Elements 14.  After that, I upgraded to PE video 15 in 2017, and more recently to 19 (2021) just last mopnth.   Relatively recently, I upgraded Premiere Elements to the 2021 version, but not the Photoshop part.    I'm having to retire the computer they were loaded on.   While working to download the latest version(s) to this new computer, I have not been able to open Photoshop E 2014 on the old computer.   Going to my Adobe account, I see it registered, but I guess the package is so old that it has dropped off the list.  So am I out of luck with PE 14?   Do I now have to purchase a more updated version or is there a way to retrieve the serial number somehow (no, I didn't wrte it down because it's never been a problem) from the the folder with all the files used to install it?

Photoshop Elements 21 Loaded from DVD I purchased months ago onto a Dell Laptop with Windows 10 Home. The laptop has 8mg of RAM and a large HardDrive.  It seems that after the first JPG loads, subsequent pictures load OK? 

A wrong tag was added to a large group of photos and I want to remove it. I can do it one at a time by opening up the tags menu, selecting the tag that I want which displays that selection, selecting one photo, right clicking on the tag that shows up in the Image Tags section in the lower right, and finally selecting the remove tag option.I should (I think), be able to select a group, right click and select remove keyword tag but it is greyed out.

I have had several versions of Photoshop Elements. My current version is 2019. In the past, whenever I plugged my card reader into my desktop, it would autostart Photoshop Elements. This feature appears to have stopped working. I have made no changes to my hardware or operating system. I can go in and physically find the memory card and copy the files to the folder, but this was a really handy feature.Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. Dan Crites

Hello,How do I remove a "People" tag from multiple photos?Once upon a time, you could select multiple pictures and remove a common tag. When I select multiple pictures, People/Event tags aren't listed under the "Remove Keyword Tag" right click option.  Nor do common tags appear in the "Image Tags" box on the lower right. I see where it has been posted that you can select an "Event", select multiple photos, and there will be a "Remove" option on the lower left toolbar. However, when I try this with People, there is no remove option. What am I missing? Thanks,Casey 

I recently upgraded from elements 11 to elements 2021. 2 problems; Firstly how can I see and work on earlier versions of a file in a collapsed version set. I can find no way of uncollapsing the version stack. I have tried re-importing the original file, but elemts will not allow me to do this as it says the file is already in Elements. Secondly, when editing a file in guided edit mode, How can I just go to edin another parameter in guided edits, I am only allowed to go to basic or expert mode. I found the edit arrangements much easier to use in the earlier version and I am currently very unsatisfied with elements 2021. Much of the operator interface seems to be a backward step and reduces the flexibility for me to do what I want. I wish I had never bought this version.

Hallo, ich habe im Januar ein Upgrate von Photoshop Elements + Premiere 2021 gekauft. Wenn ich den Fotoeditor starte, werde ich nach dem Lizenzschlüsses gefragt. Dann erhalte ich die Mitteilung, dass dieser ungültig sei. Der Lizeschlüssel ist direkt von der acount Seite kopiert.

Editing in LRC and then exporting to PSE2020 was fine until something glitched or maybe my fingers hit something wrong and I had to reset the external editing tab as it was no longer showing PSE as an external editor.  Since then with every edit I get the asterik at the end of the file like this: @DSC09652-edit.psd @9% (Brightness/Contrast 1, Layer Mask/8) * Before the reset it looked the same just without the asterik; here's an example of an edit done before the glitch@DSC09930-edit.psd @17186320.6% (Brightness/Contrast 1, Layer Mask/8) What's happened? Is this something I need to fix or not?  

As the title suggests, some MOV files work fine, others crash PSE. Is there a solution? I found HEIC photos -- supposedly supported by PSE -- also slowed the program tremendously and/or didn't display. (Many did, some didn't). So I converted everything to jpeg. Laborious but PSE running much smoother, until I turned my attention to videos. 🥲

I just installed Photoshop elements 2021 (version 19.0.0.0 oddly enough) on a new Win10 PC.  After importing my file from another PC and PE 2014, I made a backup of my data on my F:\ drive.  A week later, I edited some files and accepted the prompt to backup my work and another backup was created on C drive (C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs).  The catalog manager only displays the first one on F: drive (where I want it) and labels it as “current”.  The System Information only identifies the one on C drive. I want to specify where all backups are to go (F: drive).  I can’t find that option, and I'm confused as to why these two views are different.  How do I fix this? Thanks.

Hi I am having a very annoying problem with Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 that I cannot get to the bottom off. We have 20 PCs in a school with the program installed but whenever anyone (and I mean anyone - standard domain user, administrator, local user) runs the editor it appears to startup ok but then it immediately freezes and you can't access any menus. It freezes for approximately 5 minutes then kicks in to life and works ok after that. I have determined that it must go and try to check something on the network because I figured out if I remove the network cable it starts ok. I've been through a number of attempts to fix this including the standards of reinstall (from a  local location, and a disk and a network location), install it on a new PC (PCs are all running Windows XP SP3) delete the preferences file, start it directly from a shortcut to the editor and not through the shortcut it creates. So my question is has anyone come across something similar and do you know what El

Hi, Is it possible to change transitions duration time and add Thought & Speech Bubbles like in my previous version of Photoshop Elements 7. These features added fun to a slideshow and are now present in Photoshop Elements 2020. Thanks

I can understand the benefit of cropping without deleting cropped pixels. The problem is if I wish to crop again there doesn't appear to be a way to see the whole image again. It's like I am cropping blind. I assume there must be a bug or I am missing a trick to reveal the whole image again. As a work around, I have no choice to save the uncropped PSD file in case I wish to crop again; this defeats the purpose of cropping without deleting cropped pixels. Just learned that the video editor in Photoshop Elements actually doesn't exist -- it is in another program, called Premiere Elements, which of course costs more money. I can download a trial edition to do the little work I need to do but really, I am only looking for the video editor, not a program that might supersede/overwrite or otherwise disrupt my photo collection in Photoshop Elements. My questions: (1) if I install Premiere Elements, does Photoshop Elements continue to work separately? (2) if so, can I just use the video editor in Premiere? (3) if Premiere overtakes all of Photoshop Elenents, such that the latter no longer works, what happens to my photo and video files when the Premiere trial ends? (Had I known the video editor was not included in PSE, I might have bought Premiere elements. But too late now.)

How can I find my photos with given caption names?  I am searching for Aaron Marlowe and know there are photos with this caption, or part of it, but I keep getting "no records found."  I can't find any popup menu with "search by caption" which I have seen mentioned here.  I am using Elements 2021.1.

Ok I am coming from LR6 where I was able to create and save various presets on my importand this was very handy when using various cameras and I wanted to put the imports intotheir respective folders.   In PSE 2021 I dont see anyway to save an import  for later use as I switch between my camerasI am able to build the rename as needed with camera name and YYYYMMDD and filename and subfolderfor shot date but It seems I have no way to save that as a preset and then re-use it as I importfrom the different cameras Any thought or suggestions would helpful

I bought elements 11, then updated  to 15. I just re-set windows 10 on my PC having fully backed up, but element 15 won't open, and I can't find an EXE file to boot with.I have elements 15 on my laptop, can I transfer?I have lost my key code, and would like to update as per your offer.

Hello, I use PSE 13. until now it worked fine. Since a few weeks, when I import pictures from camera to PSE, it creates a file with the correct date, but the picture ar not visible in that file in PSE, and the file is not visible until I say "show all files". I can see in my pc that the pictures are in the file.  When I go to the file and say "import media" the system says that they are already there, but I can't see them. Only when I drag the pictures from the main screen to the file, they become visible and have immediately a new number with -1.What can I do to go back to normal?? Hope to hear from someone what to do, or get a telephone number in The Netherlands to explain the problem to an Adobe employee.Dick Sleiffer

 Hi - can somebody help me? I have an older PC with Photoshop Elements and approx. 150,000 images, 1.7 TB. I have to move to a new PC. What is the best way to move this to a new PC and at the same time keep all albums and tags with the same hierarchy as on the old one? RegardsJohan Martin Lium 

When I try to load Elements, it completes the initialisation but then when the message 'Please wait while the catalogue is loading, is displayed, it just crashes.
