I have just started using Photoshop Essentials Organiser for a trial period after many years uf using Microsoft Live Photo Gallery. I've several thousand photos with Keyword Tags that I previously used to provide categories within folders so that I could see a whole trip broken up into individual locations. I can see that I could have an Album for a trip and Album Categories for the individual locations. To avoid re-typing every location I would like to use the keywords as categories but can't see how I can do this. When I enter the text used in a Keyword Tag to set up a Category I'm told that this has already been used in  tag ,which suggests that there might be a way to use the tag as an Album Category. I hope I've explained my problem clearly. Problem: Cannot convert PhotoshopElements2020 Catalog to PhotoshopElements2021 - process says catalog is corrupt.I tried "repair anyway" - still failsHere's my situation:I am attempting to move 47,000+ photos off an old HP Laptop running current Windows 10- running PhotoshopElements 2020 with no problem- PhotoshopElements catalog started with PhotoshopElements 3, then PhotoshopElements 5, 10, 13, 14, 15 and 2020- all coversions up to and including PhotoshopElements 2020 went fine- 2 external hard disks + internal drive hold the 47K+ photos- Attempting to MOVE TO:New HP Desktop (Win10) with 8gb internal drive, running PhotoshopElements2021/PremiereElements2021(My first install of PhotoshopElements 2021 on the HP Desktop failed with a clean copy of photos - I ended up having to uninstall/reinstall PhotoshopElementslements/Premiere Elements 2021)1) I copied the catalog from the laptop to the desktop, with the intent of reconnecting the files. I got the message the catalog was corrupt2) I

Hi everyone. I've just brought a new MacBook with Big Sur as the Os and wanted to download Elements onto it. I have signed out of my old Mac and deutherised it. I've been able to use my key code and it started to download the application. It gets as far as a window appears asking do I want to launch the organiser, photo editor of video editor. I have tried each one however it comes up saying the application files are corrupt and to re-install. I have tried this roughly 5 times however nothing has made a difference. I have no other applications, updates running in the background. Can anyone help? Thanks  

Not sure what's happening but whenever I try and copy from Elements Organizer and right-click to paste anywhere else in my computer I get the Windows spinning circle for about 30-40 seconds before the right-click menu appears. Even copying will cause Elements to freeze for the same amount of time. The program behaves like it's working very hard to do a very simple task. Task manager reports that the program is utilizing up to 10% of the processor and is in "very high" power usage. Anyone have any suggestions on what's going on?

Behind the subject there's a distracting background area lit by an incandescent. How do I subtract yellow from just that area? It's a non-simple area, but both the green and white should be affected equally, so I don't thank that adds to the complexity. I tried a selection layer adjusting photo filter, levels, hue. BTW it's only Photoshop Elements 9... Thanks 

Does the new 2021 Photoshop Elements organizer now accept pdf documents?   I’m forced to remain on Photoshop Elements 14 because it was the last version that accepted pdf documents.   I’m a genealogist and pdf documents are a necessity.  Why would Adobe ever remove that capability?

I am useing Adobe Photoshop 2019 Ver. 17in this photo sample I need to remove objects on the wallI did use Auto Selection tool and then I tryed  to find Remove Object icon, where is it hiding ?As the Help section suggests in Guided>Basics>Object Removal I could not find itPlease help, all I need is to remove object on the wall    

Something happened to the tools I had available on my Elements 2019 -- most of them no longer show up -- see screenshot below.  I finally gave up and downloaded Elelment 2021 and it also has just those few tools available.  How to I get all the tools back.  I want to draw arrows, make shapes, etc.  This is a Windows 10 computer.

In the edit keyword tag dialog when I Click on "Choose Color" the " color Picker" dialog has no colors,   visable. all of the letters ie. H. S. B. R. G. B. AND # . are populated and change when the mouse is moved around the screen.  Also when I try to pick an image to place on a tag from ite image picker the inages are zoomed in completely. Please Help me. Chuck

after a free trial of photoshop elements v 2020 and not purchase, I attempted to restore my registered copy of v15 and have failed and adobe support rather than helping sent my here to a forum.  can somone help me or should i abandon adobe?

Hello all,for some time now (can't pinpoint it, maybe even after update to 2020) my videos in organizer won't play, they all appear with green bars - see attached image.Graphics drivers are all updated.What is going wrong!Best regardsMatthias from Germany 

When I need to find an album of which I vaguely remember part of its name, there is one option only (if I'm correct): browse all albums until you hit the right one. I would very much like to have a search fucntion for (part of the) album names.Rik Beeftink, PSE 19.0.0.0

In the pop-up for "Find by caption or note", the are - in addition to the string to be searched for - two conditions: (1) "Match only the beginning..." and (2) "Match any part...". Condition 1 is more restrictive than condition 2 and therefore will yield an equal or smaller number of search results. Condition 2 is more permissive than condition 1 and therefore will yield an equal or larger number of search results. Condition 1 is the default condition. I would prefer condition 2 to be the default, because I unvariably find myself to override the default and select condition 2. For the vast majority of my caption searches, I don't know the exact caption; instead, I vaguely remember or suspect a word that might be a part of the caption.Rik Beeftink, PSE 19.0.0.0

Ich fotografiere mit Canon EOS 100 und bearbeite die Bilder in Photoshop Version 10.Wenn die Bilder im Organizer verschlagwortet werden sollen, sind die Bilder defekt bzw.mit dem Symbol zerrissen gekennzeichnet. Nach Löschung der Bilder und wieder Aufruf sind dann wieder etliche Bilder korrekt dargestellt. Dies muß laufend wiederholt werden.Welcher Fehler liegt hier vor?VG  Alois 

I am new to Elements - i would like to overlay a line drawing of a photo as a temporary layer on top of artwork I have drawn in order to “check” the accuracy. Any steps or tips to get me going?

Can rhe selection tool line be made more distinct? When drawing, I have difficulty seeing it on the subject. It is particularly difficult when using the eliptical tool.  Maybe it's my eyes!I use Elements 2020 on a MAC. Much appreciation for any help.Thank youJean

One of the Windows system requirements for PSE is7.3GB of available hard-disk space to install applications; additional 3GB to download all optional content; additional free space required during installation (cannot install on a volume that uses a case-sensitive file system or on removable flash storage devices).What is this Optional Content? 

I have a new pc, Windows 10. Trying to install Photoshop Elements 11 from disc. After typing serial number, I'm told:The wizard was interupted before Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 could be installed. Your system has not been modified. I don't even know what that means. Could someone tell me what I need to do and exactly what I need to download so that I can install this?Thank you. 

Bonjour, j'ai acheté Photoshop elements 2020 et Adobe Première auprès d'Amazon. Je suis le lien qui est envoyé avec le mail de confimation et je commence à télécharger l'application. Le processus de téléchargement s'arrête invariablement à 98%. Photoshop apparaît bien dans mes applications mais ne s'ouvre pas. Faut-il, après l'achat souscrire à un abonnement? With Adobe Flash coming to end of life, I am getting messages to uninstall it and would like to do so.  However, if I search my MacBook Pro for Flash files, the result is thousands of xmp files from Elements.  I am concerned that uninstalling Flash will disable my Elements, or the 10's of thousands of xmp files I have.   Can anyone tell me if uninstalling Flash will have any effect on Elements 2020 or my very large edited photo collection?  I do not have Creative Cloud.

I recently updated to PSE 2020 from PSE 8. (I am using Windows 10 and PSE 8 was actually working but not optimally.) I do a lot of work with layers from multiple files. In PSE 8, when I dragged a layer from one file onto another the original size of the layer was preserved, regardless of whether it was smaller or larger than the new canvas. But today when I dragged a layer from one file to another in PSE 2020, it shrank the (rather large) layer to fit the new canvas. I didn't want it to do that. Is there a way to tell PSE 2020 to keep the original size of a layer that that is moved from one file to another? I.e., if I'm dragging a layer from an image that is 6600x6600 pixels onto a canvas that is 2000x2000 pixels I don't want the entire image shrunk to 2000x2000 pixels; I want to see 2000x2000 pixels-worth of that image and be able to move it around, or re-size it myself, so I can decide what part of it to keep. I manipulate multiple photos and do a lot of experimentation with layers.

Hi there, I have computers in a secure environment (no internet) that run 2020 Adobe Elements Bundle.  However, the 2021 version installation has changed, and it does not allow me to use offline installation.  Is there a solution for offline installation and activation? Thanks much!
