Questions

I am digitising a number of B&W glass negatives dating from 1912.  Several of them have light leakage resulting in a bleached streak to the edge of the plate, and (as with this one) some gradation of exposure over the lower part.  I have Photoshop Elements 2020, and I am using Silverfast 8 with an Epson V800 scanner.  How best can I treat these areas to make them blend in better with the rest of the photograph? 

Does elements organize your photos? Mine are currently in google photos but I'm thinking of switching. 

I have multiple questions of which "live" help is incapable of reading. 1.  Would I be able to receive support for PSE 11 rather than 2021 which I'm no liking how its presented? 2.  How does one change "notifications" via mobile versus email?  I've tried to change it and am unable to do so. 3.  What exactly do plans mean?  One cannot receive support without paying monthly or what hav you?  I have not been able to locate any documentation on this subject. can i print my files using PSelements 

If I purchase Adobe Elements can I put it on both my phone and laptop?

Looking at reducing my CC sub and just getting Photoshop Elements instead. I know I can install it on 2 machines (currently can with CC) but on Amazon they have both Mac and Windows -specific download codes. So if I buy the Mac code can I only install that on 2 Macs or is it just a weird way that Amazon are doing it? If I buy from Adobe (about 40% more expensive) then can the 2 machines be different operating systems?

Hi, I am trying Photoshop Elements 2021 (trial version) on Windows 10 system. When I use the Crop tool in Camera Raw 12.3 of this software, the frame lines doesn't move when I grab any handle of the cropping frame. If I click on another tool after moving any handle of the cropping tool, then I can see that the the cropping line have moved. Is anyone know how to fix that weird behavior? Thank you!

I cant get the clooning Tool to function. Ive got Photoshop Elements 11 since many years. Now I get a message when I ALT-click saying something about an Adjustment layer ( swedish - Justeringslager). I dont know what an Adjustment layer is? Can I change the layer in some way? Please, I would be tremendously thankful if I could use the Clooning Tool again. Its such a marvelous Tool. I have a large number of scanned physical photos and negatives as well as digital photos in PSE2020. These show in the grid in date order. The photos are fine because they include "Date Taken", but the scanned photos are not where I want them. I would like to organise the scanned photos by the estimated date that the original photo was taken. I have all of the photos and scanned photos in folders named "YYYY-MM-DD subject", where for the scans YYYY-MM-DD is the estimated date for those scans.  I would be happy for all of the scans to have that date, so that they appear in estimated chronological order in PSE2020.  I have thousands of scans, so I ideally I would like to be able to use some bulk renaming facility, ideally based on the folder name, if that is possible.  I am also not clear on which date field I need to edit for the scans so that they will appear correctly in PSE Organizer.  Photos use "Date Taken" I believe, but there are many other date fields, which

I downloaded photoshop using the student and teacher package and at the time I think it was around $100 but I don't think it should expire yet. I tried opening any of the apps: image editor, video editor, and organizer but it will just show me the loading sign then disappear. I tried uninstalling it then installing it again. I also tried restarting my computer. Not sure what else to do....

Hello,  I am considering purchasing Element 2021 for windows PC, do I need previous versions of Photoshop Element? I do not have any products at the moment

At first launch of Organizer 2021, I accidentally began bulk import. I stopped it after 30,000 images had been imported (of 87,000). I don't want or need all these things in Organizer. Can I safely delete all the folders and their assets and be sure that the original files (in Dropbox, for example), will remain intact? What is the easiest and safest way to delete all? Probably dumb questions, but I am nervous deleting 30,000 images from Organizer.  Thank you!

Hi, i have a problem with my healing brush. When ive clicked alt. and start moving my mouse-the whole layer starts mooving.When i click left tab on mouse it stops mooving but no effect of brush!Tryed to reinstall the program several times,give it more memory,unplug all usb devises,reset all tools... pse9, win10, Tiff 

I just upgraded a very old version of Elements to the new 2021 version.  I like to use psd templates for scrapbooking.  I've always used the "place" command and then control G to snap a photo into the appropriate place in the template.  When I tried this today, I was shocked to find that this no longer works ... and some "group" stuff comes up that I don't have a clue about.  I can't for the life of me figure out how to get a photo into the photo template.  Can someone help??  Thanks so much!

Hi All,Will any of the Adobe products allow me to run facial recognition only when I connect an external hard drive but without importing the photos? I am using elements 2020 and I also have creative cloud.  I have years and years of photos that I cannot import to my pc drive.  When I used to use Picasa (which i still have on an older machine) I was able to just run the facial recognition on the photos on my external hard drive.  If I needed to find a specific person, I would just connet the external hard drive and go into Picasa and the photos are there sorted by each person.  All editing is done on my pc drive and then moved to external drives or backed up somewhere.  If there is another program that will allow me to run facial recognition this way from my hard drive, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.THANKS IN ADVANCE.Lisa

I add large amount of photos to my Organizer catalog. ALL files are located at C: drive.Oddly, organizer is not able to show photo thumbnail correctly. I checked file properties, and Organizer has changed drive letter to M:I do not understand how this could be possible. I do not have M: drive. My computer is Dell Latitude 7490 single ssd drive!!Can someone help me to fix this? Otherwise PE is useless piece of software. 

In PSE 2019, I've used the "cookie cutter" tool to extract a circular portion of a photo, which I then saved as a JPEG image. The problem is, when I try to insert the circular image into a diagram in my Word document, the square bounding box comes along with the image. Is there any way in PSE to crop out a circular piece of a photo and save it so that it can be inserted as a circular, not square, image into another application? Thanks much!

Does anyone know why Albums, when sorted on 'album order' in media, always reverts to 'newest' when switching to people or places and then going back to media?

Good morningSince the installation, 2 problems prevent me from using this new version.In the organizer, the display "blinks" when I pass the mouse on the menus. My PC is a Dell XPS 15 4K screen that is 1 month old...Another problem: impossible to use my photo cataloque of 14000 images that runs under PSE 2018. The conversion is in check, the optimization on the 2018 version does not work, I even try to restore the backup on the 2021 version, but when converting, again a crash.So for now, not very satisfied with this new version ...Do you have any troubleshooting tips? Thank you all

I just upgraded from Elements 2018to 2021, and having a nightmare getting my new brushes to stay in the file, they keep disappearing. Reading support pages and makes me even more confused.  Also, how do you import your brushes from 18 to new 2021.  Sorry I bought this upgrade - I have hundres of brushes I use!   Moved from Using the Community (which is about the forums) to a better forum... Hello to allI am a casual user and just loaded Elements 9.0 onto my HP pc running Windows 10.  There is an update to version 9.0.3 available, but when I attempt to download it, I receive error messages "Error downloading Elements 9.0.3 update" and "Error downloading Camera Raw 6.5."Several restarts have not eliminated this problem, the error messages persist. About two years ago, I had this same exact issue on another pc, and had to update the Application Manager.  This solved the problem.  Unfortunately, I do not remember how I achieved this update. Does anyone have any suggestions?  Thank you! 

OK I must be missing somthing.  I downloaded Camera Raw 13 and it said it installed with no problems.I am trying to open CR3 from a Canon R5Elements 2021 still shows version 12.3.  Elements 2021 has a grayed out update.I am using an Apple Macbook Pro 2019 and it is fully updated. NOTE: I have searched my computer and cannot find a file named camera raw.So the question, can Camera Raw 13 be used with Elements 2921? 

Can a book be shared digitally?  It can be printed; however, sometimes I like to share parts of a book or a concise book in a format to email. Thank you.  

Hi there, on Adobe's help page as well as in this thread the, I find, quite useful and mostly well-implemented feature "Get location name for photographs with GPS information" is mentioned. But using this feature, I found, that if a single photo within a stack on the map in a similiar GPS location has already got a location name, the option to get a location name disappears so the other photos without a location name cannot easily get one. The only thing I found to do here is to zoom in until the single photo with a location name is "isolated" on a separate stack so that you can click get location name for the other pictures. Apart from being unnecessarily time-consuming, it is sometimes impossible if a new picture has the same GPS coordinates than the one which has already got a name. I think, the logic should be different: As soon as there is a single photo without a location name, the option to get the location name has to appear (I don't mind if in addition to this o
