I've been using Premiere Elements for a few years.  I love this software.  It does everything I need it to do for my very small service.  If I understand it correctly, Premiere Elements is not backward compatible with previous versions, which I found out the hard way.  I was in hopes of going back to old videos, sync them up to all attached elements, basically clean them up, then create an MP4 to file away (which, I realize I should have done at the time).  As I had mentioned, I have used this software over the years.  Is there a way to identify which version I had used to create a particular video so I can download it again (I still have a license for them) and fine tune these old videos?  I'm presently using PRE 2022.  Thanks in advance.

OK...this is a problem that no one really seems to have a handle on!!!???  When I import a video file onto the timeline (it doesen't matter how I do this), the audio track is blank, although the audio plays when I am in "Media Player."  It seems to be mostly ".wmv" files, but I have experienced it on some ".mpg" files.  THIS IS NOT A HARDWARE PROBLEM!  if it where, it would happen on every file I tried to import.  I have recently noticed that if I restart "Premier Elements" these files will sometimes import with audio, but not always.  I hope Adobe can figure this out, sence my research would seem to indicate that this has been a problem going back to ver 2020, as well as the "PRO" version.Thanks for listing,Waynebtw, I do like this program, just wish this could be figured out.

Vor kurzem noch hatte ich ein Samsung S20 von dem ich problemlos Video-Clips in Premiere importieren und bearbeiten konnte.Jetzt habe ich ein Samsung Galax S24 Ultra und kann Video-Dateien nicht mehr direkt importieren. Adobe hat mir das Programm "Handbreak" zusätzlich installiert. Meine Clips muss ich zunächst in HANDBREAK importieren, dann decodieren und dann erst die decodierten Clips in Premiere Elements importieren. Das funktioniert zwar, ist aber total umständlich und eigentlich nicht zumutbar. Geht das auch anders?Samsung sagt, das neue Betriebsystem ANDROID 6.1 habe Adobe noch nicht berücksichtigt. Die Ursache läge bei Adobe!Ist das Problem bekannt und ist das für ein entsprechendes update vorgesehen? Wer kennt das Problem?

Hello, Since today i have a weird problem with adobe premiere elements.When i add a motion title everything works fine (the download of the title takes some time, really slow download speed @ adobe). When i add the title to my timeline everything works fine until i want to change the color. In special the Graphics section.  I see all different "colors" but they won't load. they seem like they keep loading but for now my mac is loading for 30 min and still nothing.  If i press a random color and apply, i get the following error :Premiere Elements has encountered an error.[/Users/Adobe/pre/main/Mezzanine/Src/MasterClip.cpp-1853] What i allready tried to do :- turn off mac to have fresh boot (multiple times)- no premiere elements / mac updates (all new updates are ok)- open a new project and just adding a title - deleted premiere elements and reinstalled  A friend of me have premiere elements on his windows pc and he doesn't have the

I'm trying to do some motion tracking in my videos, and I'd love to just use my own graphics.  Unfortunately it seems like the only ones I can use are the clip art provided by the program, and to put it politely, they are entirely unsatisfactory.  How can I use my own graphics?

I am trying to export a video file in Premiere elements 2023. I get an error message when trying to export.prel file to mp4. "An internal error has occurred. Check if there is enough space on the disk."  Thereis planty of space on my hard drive, and I slo tried to eport to a large flash drive with no success. I opened and closed the program as well with no success. 

I haven't used it for almost 2 years.  Really need it now, but no matter what I do the program will not start.  I have tried many recommendations in the forums and still no luck.  How do I get program to work?  I am extremely frustrated.  I bought it, but it doesn't work!

Vor 11 Monaten habe ich bei einem Softwarehändler Adobe Photoshop & Premiere Elements 2022 mit zwei Lizenzschlüsseln erworben. Bis vor drei Tagen liefen die Programme auf meinem Notebook. Leider hatte ich einen Festplattencrash. Die Lizenzschlüssel habe ich nocht, leider fehlt mir der Downloadlink. Adobe-Hotline verwies mich auf die Community. I have Photoshop El and Premier El 21, but am trying to make a dvd of my home video, but there is no option under "Tools" for Movie Menu.  Also uner Markers which is just above the timeline, only offer a Beat Marker and a Timeline Marker.   Please someone offer some help.  Does Version 21 not offer these things like my last version of 14 did. When I try to export my project to YouTube the info/options are all in French.  This may be fine if I understood French, but I am English, in England and speak English. Everything else in the program is in English, is there some setting I am missing or is this a known bug and I need to use Translate to work out what is going on?

I am not computer literate and am using an older computer with Windows 10. When my GoPro Hero 8 died recently I got a new Hero 11 replacement. Using the GoPro Hero 11, when I tried to create a video in the video editor I got the message that PE was unable to import the media and I must load HEVC which, according to my computer System, I already have loaded.I then got out an old Hero 8-made video and it loads successfully in the video editor, as usual.?Perhaps I need new hardware?

Seriously: you can move the timeline to a second screen, but the timeline only? Not the video preview window? Is this a joke? No, it's intentionally bad design to make you switch -- to Cyberlink Powerdirector, I guess. Is this functionality unchanged in PrEl 2024? Why doesn't Adobe just have a big free-floating red "X" quit button that you can move to a second monitor? That would be equally useful.  😉

When I open a project in my element 24 created with element 14 , the video and audio track is shown but there is no content.

Pre PE 2024 i used to reduce the size of exported files from PE15 using Handbrake. Prior to loading them to Vimeo.. But PE2024 has its own optimizer now so since September 2023 i have stopped using Handbrake. - still record an hour and  a half film  in PE4 format each month with my Sony A6500 camera but now i can process it with my newly purchased  PE2024 running on me new mega PC with AMD 7900 12 cores and Win11. I now let Adobe do the optimizing. - super! Worked fine for - Sept , Oct. Nov, Dec,  Jan24, Feb24. Then something must have happened in February 2024 that is now causing PE2024 to repeatedly fail to export any files.. After many aborted efforts to fix it.  - increased work areas, seperate drives for program, data and final file, massive additional swap area, shorter 20Minute PE4 files, simpler files with fewer edits, even  no edits.. Refreshed video drivers ,  fresh PE2024 install. Checked that Win 23H2 installed OK. Questions on t

Hi, I'm trying to Export & Share a 50 minute/4k video file that is 35GB in size in Premiere Elements 2020 and I'm encountering an Export Error saying "Error Compiling Movie - You do not have permission to Create or Delete the Output file" I'm the only user of the MacBook and I have plenty of available memory (105GB). Are you able to explain why I'm getting this error message please and advise how I can overcome it? NB, I do not want to reduce the quality of the output file to reduce the size if that is the issue.

In my case, HDR videos (from my Pixel 😎 import and seem ok until you realize that they're really dim looking compared to how they should look.  My workaround is to strip the hdr metadata via ffmpeg: ffmpeg -i input.mp4 -vf sidedata=delete output_nohdr.mp4 Though it seems really silly that Premiere Elements can't natively handle them properly. Am I doing something wrong? See the screenshot for how it looks in VLC (correct) vs Premiere Elements 2024.   I can give the original video if someone knows how to strip the exif location from it 🙂   

When selecting export to TV it seems to be writing to a flash drive but nothing appears in the preview window. After about 2 hours the flash drive is empty.

I use Premiere Elements 2024  on Windows 11.Can I create automatically  an slideshow in Premiere Elements by selecting a video project  ( file with  .prel  extension)that I created with Premiere ?  The idea is to let the program to select frames from the video and add transitions and zoom effects to create the slideshow.

Wenn ich eine Überblendung zwischen Clips einfüge, kommt es vor, dass ein oder merere Clips flackern und teilweise Bilder von anderen Clips zeigen, wie im Anhang auch zu sehen ist. Woran liegt das?Über Hilfe wäre ich sehr dankbar.

When I go to update, it says that an update is available.I can do no more than click on ok.The current version is 24.0, but it should be 24.2.Even the support could not initiate the update remotely.I wonder why it doesn't work?

I have been searching, but found noone else with this issue.I just downloaded and installed the PRE15 trial, as I am having massive issues with motion tracking in PRE13 (.. as a quick google search, many others do).The new version looks nice too, however... when I start PRE, there is a warning bell or beep-sound - 2-3 times and if I ALT-TAB out of PRE15 and then back in again, it dings or beeps again.It's driving me absolutely nuts.. to the point that if this is what I can expect to experience with the full version, Adobe can keep it.. Is there a menu somewhere where I can disable this sound?FYI; Windows sounds are set to NONE, and it is only when working with PRE this warning bell/beep plays. Muting PRE in the audio mixer disables it too (.. until I unmute it, then the sound plays once more if I've tried at-tabbing in and out of PRE..).I can reproduce as well by clicking the PRE icon in the task bar to minimize and maxmize PRE. I leave this post in discussion it might be an idea of improvement coming from a bug. Let's dive in. We all know the cursor show the frame to the rigth of itself. I record gameplay and/or movie sequences to make shorts on youtube and tiktok. In my situation the rush I'm using is already edited, but I need to cut between all scene or as said camera plan.Like I mention above the cursor show the "next" frame the one to the right side of the cursor. It suppose to make the source view the first image of the cut, but it sometimes show the last frame of the previous sequence. And sometimes it bug out to show, not show, then show and not show. """Can nyou usee ethe edrill? ?Do oyou?""" The result of the export makes the cut noticable and cranky XD. And I don't like the idea. I hope it sounds clear how I explained. My question is it related to the type of rush?
