I am trying to import a transparent background video I created with Adobe Express whose only option is creating MP4 video, into Premiere pro. I tried so many different things to try maintain its transparency including exporting the video again as Quick time with all the necessary settings but the video is coming back with black background every time. I also tried render and replaced clip with changing format to QuickTime and Prores 4444, it still didn't work. I would really appreciate the help

As long as the objects are below the graphic text, you can not directly select the objects in the Program window with the Select tool.It always selects the graphic text (the graphic text area covers the whole screen)
I have an old post where an incorrect answer was marked as a Correct Answer. Is there any way I can un-mark it as correct and mark a different answer as correct? https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/after-effects-18-2-hide-preview-thumbnail-in-project-panel/m-p/12051841#M171407
I am experiencing an issue with Adobe Premiere Pro 2025, as it crashes immediately upon startup every time I try to open it. I have already attempted several troubleshooting steps to resolve the problem, but none have been successful so far. Here’s what I’ve tried:I uninstalled and reinstalled Premiere Pro, but the crash persists.I updated my GPU driver to the latest version available, but this did not solve the issue.I ensured my system is running smoothly and restarted it multiple times, with no change in outcome. My system specifications are as follows:CPU: Intel Core i7 (13th Gen)GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 (8GB VRAM)RAM: 8GBOperating System: Windows 11 ProIt’s worth noting that the crash happens before I can load any projects or media. This suggests the issue might be related to the software itself or a compatibility problem.I would appreciate any guidance on resolving this issue, as it is preventing me from using the software entirely. If additional information, such as crash logs
I've come across a bug in the latest version of Premiere Pro (V25.1), it's pretty simple. It occurs when I add an adjustment layer above all of my video tracks (4 cameras each on a separate track) AND add an instance of lumetri to do a final global adjustment on all video clips. The bug manifests when I encode the video either straight from premiere or from Media Encoder, same result. The result is that an encode that normally takes about 10-12 minutes for a 4 minute video now takes 5-6 hours. If I turn off the adjustment layer or disable the associated instance of lumetri the encode operates normally. If I turn it back on we're back to a 5-6 hour encode. I have reverted to V25 and the bug does not exist there so I am able to encode normally. BTW I have also tried rolling back Media Encoder to the previous version and the above mentioned behavior still persists so I'm certain the issue is NOT with Media Encoder. Has anyone else expe
Hello,I use both Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.I’ve noticed that exporting Apple ProRes from Premiere Pro causes color and IRE value shifts, while Resolve does not have this issue. The first and second images show a comparison between the original Canon MXF file and the Apple ProRes 4444 export from Resolve. The third and fourth images show a comparison between the same Canon MXF file and the Apple ProRes 4444 export from Premiere Pro. If you overlay the image pairs, the exports from Resolve appear nearly identical to the original, at least when examining them on the scopes. However, the ProRes exported from Premiere Pro displays a darker IRE value and a slight red color shift. The Canon MXF and exported Apple ProRes 4444 should be identical in scope—just like the exports from Resolve. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I contacted Adobe customer support, shared all the relevant data, and worked with them for three days. In the end, they concluded that
I have a new project that I will be creting a Prodcution for as there is a large amount of footage and projects from previous edits that I need to pull from, the question is one of the older Projects is a Production from a previous editor. Can I import this Production into my newer Production or what wouldl the best workflow be for this situation?Any info woul dbe appreciated, thanks so much.
Hi everyone,I’ve been editing a series of archived interviews—originally recorded on a mid-2010s DSLR. The conversations are fantastic, but a lot of the close-up shots suffer from soft, slightly out-of-focus faces. It’s not motion blur, just that old combination of low lighting, shallow depth of field, and camera shake.Since I’m working in Premiere Pro (latest version), here’s what I’ve already tried:Unsharp Mask & Sharpen:Slight improvement, but the skin tones start to break down quickly, especially in darker scenes.Lumetri tweaks:Helped boost contrast and midtones, but didn’t improve clarity.AE upscale with Detail-preserving Upscale:Somewhat better, but still doesn’t get me that clean, modern look.At this point, I’m looking for more advanced ideas and wondering:💡 Has anyone found a solid method—either within Premiere or using external tools—to recover facial clarity without introducing artifacts?I know some editors swear by Topaz, but I’m trying to avoid bouncing between
I feel this is a V25 issue, as I don't remember it happening before, but I'm pulling my hair out trying to work this one out. Komodo R3D files, so typically I change the source settings IPP2 to Legacy, and then adjust accordingly. Now however, nothing updates visually whenever I make a change regardless of which Image Pipeline I'm in. And the kicker, it's not across the board, some files do update, some don't. But I don't see any differences between said files. What am I missing? On a side note, sometimes the files will have this odd purple/blue full grain pattern when playing back, one quick fix is to just flip between the playback resolution. This is certainly a V25 issue, at least in my experience. Prior to V25 Premiere handled R3D files perfectly fine, now not so much.
I'm exporting 4K with high bitrate and high settings in general. These are what my dark colors look like pre-export: After export, my video looks like this: Very visible lines and pixelation--quality looks horrible. Haven't run into this before, any ideas on what levels/curves I would adjust to maintain a smooth gradient in the final prodcut?
Cannot export a project. I keep getting the error below. Can anyone help?
I recently installed Adobe Premiere with my Nvidia RTX 4000. Now I can’t choose CUDA render in the app. I'm using an HP Z840 dual Xeon with 80GB RAM. Previously, I never had problems with Adobe Premiere. Media Composer recognizes the RTX without issues. Any suggestions to getting CUDA working again?
In the most recent update (24.2.1), ripple trim to playhead is not functioning properly or consistently. I do not currently have the issue on my other computer (in the same project). I am not even entirely sure what is happening. When I ripple trim to playhead (either the previous or next edit), an inconsistent number of clips are deleted up until a certain point. I've tried restarting premiere, my computer, etc. and nothing is working. 1. Editing clips on video layer 12. Find preferred ending point for a clip3. Press 2 (my preferred hotkey for "ripple trim next edit to playhead")4. It does not trim the clip to the preffered location, but deletes a number of clips/parts of clips until it gets to an adjustment layer on video layer 2This didn't used to happen in any previous versions of Premiere Pro. I have the Mister Horse Premiere Composer plugin installed but that's it (I use it for transitions and stuff). I have a GIGABYTE - AORUS 16X (2024) Gaming Laptop with an NVIDIA GeForce
I have a question. Why is the HEVC render much faster in Premiere Pro when I click the Export button directly in Premiere Pro than when I queue the render to the Encoder by clicking "Send to Media Encoder" for rendering. In the Encoder, the HEVC renderer is too slow with the same settings as in Premiere Pro. Is there a bug in the Encoder settings or is it an Encoder bug? Thanks for the answer.
Hello, since some weeks I have massive performance problems with Premiere CC 2017. And there is the strong suspicion that it has something to do with the audio hardware / audio settings or the audio drivers. Some of the problems I have already described here in the forum:Premiere blocks "adaptive noise reduction" for some 5.1-clips - What is the reason? What is going on with my audio level? Mysterious swelling of audio Premiere CC2017 is after up- and downgrade extremely slowly - No more work possible None of the problems have been solved. The first thread listed was also discussed with the german Adobe support. They asked me to upload an sample project, what I did. This was 3 weeks ago and Adobe promised to give feedback via mail. But nothing happened. The staff member here in the english forum Kevin-Monahan kindly asked the german support team once more about the current status, but again: No reaction, which slowly streches my patience. My film project is running out of time and it is
Hello,I need some help! I'm using Premiere Pro 2025 with the Influx extension, and whenever I import a video with audio, the audio does not sync to the video whatsoever. In my files, it is synced and everything is completely fine, but in Premire Pro, it's not. The first 10-60 seconds will be synced, and then after that, it just loops, making it out of sync. It's not like I can unlink the audio and video, and just manually sync it as the audio is unnecessarily looping, and the rest of the audio is just replaced. Changing the format does NOT work, and this is happening on ALL of the videos I import. Clearing my cache and resetting Premeire has done nothing. Not sure if this is a bug, or if I'm just being stupid, lol! Thank you!
Pr 25.2, Win 11 24h2, Nvidia studio driver 566.36, RTX 4080, 64 Gb of ram, any footage. When I try to use the new Generative extend tool, it first starts analyzing the clip, then gives a "can't complete" message on the audio track, then ends up with a "can't generate extension" error screen.Steps to reproduce:- start Pr- create an empty project- import any video- place it on the timeline- cut the clip- use the GE tool- waitWhen I tested the tool in the Beta a month or two ago it actually worked without any problems.
Ever since the new update, my H.264 exports from Premiere and Media Encoder produce files that freeze during playback. 90% of the video will run smoothly, but at random points in playback the file will freeze from anywhere between 30 seconds and 5 minutes. Sound cuts out, frame freezes, while the runtime keeps going and then eventually it unsticks itself. It's ridiculous that Premiere can't even produce an mp4 file that works. I found discussions from a few years ago sharing the same issue, but the work arounds from back then don't work on today's version of premiere. Hilarious that you have to pay so much for a yearly subscription for a product that doesn't work.
I can't export video files from Adobe Premiere or Media Encoder. Processing happens, but it freezes.
If I have already used a portion of a clip in a timeline, I'm not able to put a different portion of that same clip into my timeline. However, If I just cut off a part of the portion that is already in my timeline, I can extend and re-cut that portion to whatever I need. What is going on here?
Unsure why this keepes happening? Nearly two weeks now Premiere Pro has been unsuable for me. Drivers are all up to date, the app is updated. GPU accelerator is turned off. Adobe support had a look for me and said app was crashing because files were not downloaded locally. Well unfortunatley I stil can't even import media to start a project without the app crashing and showing this error. I love Adobe but being unable to edit for two weeks has been awful.
Context: Normally to drag the playhead around you have to click and drag on the region at the top of the timeline that has the timecode. But there is also an option to bind a keyboard shortcut to the action "Move Playhead to Cursor", which can be activated anywhere in the timeline. However, I've noticed problems with this action. 1. You can't really use this action and then continue to hold to keep scrubbing the playhead. If you click and hold the bound shortcut while moving the mouse within the timeline, for several moments the playhead will usually just stick there where you initially clicked. Basically negating any time savings of just moving the cursor to the regular scrubbing location (if you intend to continuously scrub). 2. Even if you keep holding the shortcut until the playhead starts "following" the mouse cursor, it seems to update the playhead position way less frequently than normal dragging the top of the timeline, kind of making it useless.
Hi allI hope that someone can help me with a solution to this most annoying issue in Premiere Pro.I was previously using a speaker set up with my Mac Pro (2013) and Premiere Pro. I have recently moved the studio and for the moment I need to edit with headphones. I loaded Premiere ready to do a days work and I have no sound. I was greeted by the following message:On clicking YES to this I then got the following immediately:So I then click OK and it takes me to the Audio Hardware Preferences menu but shows that all my inputs are 'not working'??? What? Also, there is no 48,000Hz sample rate so I have no idea what to do at all. I then went to the Mac Audio MIDI setup and I noticed that the output format was set to 96kHz even though I manual tried setting it to 48kHz.This is so frustrating. I have all other computer audio coming through the headphones and sound in Audition is also coming through headphones...WHY NOT PREMIERE?!?!Can anyone help with this p
If i import a clip 4K 60 to my timeline, all of a sudden its lagging like crazy and 16 to 18GB of ram are used just to play it back, is the ram usage normal, the lagging cant be, i run an i5 13600k 32gb of RAM and a RTX4080 and i have got audio sections missing, even if the timeline is showing clear audio spikes( audio issue maybe low battery of my mic but i am not sure cause why is it showing spikes), i tried deleting the cache, change the audio input to no input, reseted everything, nothing worked, last week everything was working fine and today all of a sudden everything feels a lil bit slow , 2x 1TB NVME SSD´S, one of them only 69GB left, its frustrating to have such issues with such a high performing computer, i filmed in XAVCS-1 4K 10BIT
