I'm attempting to relink comps to the AE project using the Dynamic Link, but it's not working.  I'm in PPro 24.1.   Everything was fie yesterday - the project loaded and there was no need to relink the comps, they came up automatically.

Hi, I edited a video footage from iPhone with these dimensions: 1830*1014 and exported it. Now I want to edit the video from the new downloaded version. But when I am taking the file in a new project, the file is not working well. Please suggest how to change the dimensions into 1920*1080 dimensions that I have to merge with another footage of 1920*1080 dimension and edit for a Podcast together.  Thanks,Avadhut

The frustration I have with Adobe is beyond acceptable, but I'll attempt to tame my anger for this post.  Worked ALL DAY yesterday editing. Had some speed issues with exports last night -but didn't think much of it because well, Adobe rarely works as advertised.  Wake up today to get back to work. Open up Adobe PP. Get a message that says "Cannot open project"... blah blah blah, something about an outdated project file.  Close Adobe PP.  Re open.  Open the project file. It opens without issue.  BUT.  ALL OF THE WORK DONE YESTERDAY IS GONE.  NOTHING WAS SAVED.   Can some please explain to me WHY I pay $34/ month for this??

My bad, it did show up in the timeline, it was just so small you couldn't see it.  I don't see how to delete questions....   When I draw a rectangle, it does not show in the timeline anywhere.  I can draw it, size it, change the colors, but cannot see it on the timeline (and control how long it's visible, etc.).  I feel like I must be missing something obvious, but can't recall ever having this problem before.    

How can you tell if the footage you are working with is 8 bit or 10 bit?

Hi there, so I just updated my Premier version to the 2025 vers. but this was happening when I tried to work with it last night too, with 2024 vers.. So far in efforts to resolve the issue on my own I have -restarted my computer-restarted my program-created a new file/project-cleared media cache...twice-disabled hardware accelerated decoding in settings, every time I open the program this setting has remained disabled.The problem: Whenever I try to play anything back whether its in source or sequence track, the first two seconds play as if its being scrubbed, no matter the method I use to start it (shift-I, the button for "Go to In", nor just using a mouse click). It speeds through it, and the audio is all glitchy too so I literally can't edit when my style is based within these seconds. I’m having an issue with versions 25.0 and 25.1 of Premiere Pro. Every time I select multiple graphics (subtitles I created), the Properties panel gets bugged, with the "Transform" section overlapping the "Text" section. I’ve already contacted support, and the only solution they suggested was to either revert to the 2024 version or use nesting to edit all the subtitles at once. I’ll do that to work more quickly, but I want to SOLVE this overlapping issue so I can work smoothly on a service I paid a lot for.

Hello !Since version V25.0 of PREMIERE PRO, in the audio menu, there are 2 scales of dB values. Please explain to me the function of each of them. I am lost! I do not know which scale to use to set my level of -18dB.Thanks in advance

V25.1I've had to import a timeline from resolve into a project that already has all the footage imported, labelled & sorted into folders etc. However, Premiere Pro will not consolidate the duplicates, I've tried relinking the footage, modifying the audio to all match & bringing the entire XML into a new project - I've also done all this several times in different orders. This is quite a simple task it shouldn't be this hard!  

What are best practices for file type/specs when prepping footage from Sony ZV-e10 & iPhone 15Pro for use in PrPro? I currently run the Sony clips through EditReady with a ProRes 422 (HQ) preset, and run the iPhone files through FF Works to get CBR. Just want top make sure I'm doing what's best both for quality and functionality within PrPro. Any guidance would be appreciated!

Hi All, I have an issue in premiere Pro 25.1  where the timeline playback is choppy to the point of only updating every 5 -10 seconds which is making editing somewhat challenging.... Hello,I've applied a Sharpen fx to my clip and added a mask, but the tracking is not working. I don't get any progress. And after trying, all the buttons are greyed out.I tried different clips and projects, I cleared the cache, database, started from scratch, restarted Premiere, clips from different HD, tried different fx, tried to track a mask in Opacity…The tracking is not consistently working, sometimes it does, but most of the times it doesn’t.I’m on Premiere 25.1.0Any help?Thank you!

Version of the app: 25.1.0Platform and OS version: MacBook Pro 2021 running 15.0Basic steps to reproduce the problemWhen a popup window appears, the UI only uses a small space rather than filling the whole window, which makes it challenging to navigate/use, especially on a smaller monitor. When dragging the corners of the window to resize, the UI only resizes within the small space and doesn't expand. Expected result and actual resultThe UI should load dynamically utilising the whole size of the window and respond to resizing correctly, but it currently fills around a quarter of the window. 

One of the benefits of 32 bits effects are their ability to retain all details in the image, even if you overexpose it early in the chain. Try for instance to over expose a clip using ProcAmp, and then add another ProcAmp on an adjustment layer, and lower it. The details are back. This is because ProcAmp is marked as a 32 bit effect in the Effects-tab. Lumetri Color is also marked as a 32 bits effect. Still, if I lift up the Lumetri Exposure so parts of the image is clipped, the Lumetri Curves will not bring back the details. This also applies if I crank up exposure in one Lumetri Color and then reduce it in another Lumetri Color (or using another 32 bit effect, like ProcAmp), either on the same clip, or on an adjustment layer. The details are permanently gone. Even if you overexpose with the Exposure slider and then lower it again with RGB Curves in the very same Lumetri effect. This tells me that Lumetri is NOT 32 bit but 8 bit. Or am I missing something here? I have also t

As described in the subject, I have a ton of very old ASF files that I would like to edit in Premiere. VLC, Media Player, and even free editors can read these files but Premiere throws the error "The file cannot be opened because of a header error" on import. As a work-around I can pass these files through a converter but it would take a while and I'd rather not suffer a generation loss through recompression. Is there any way to make Premiere read these files and if not, is there a good program/format to get lossless conversion?Experience level: beginner.

I have a screen record. Use the mask to cut out the required area. Then add Transform. And when animating the position parameter the following happens - there are “dead zones” that have borders, changing position in which nothing happens at all. The frame just stands still. And if you still go beyond this dead zone, the value is very large and the animation turns out wrong. What is the problem and how to fix it?

I've followed instructions from others complaining of something similar to not avail. This video file reads 01:27:35:04 in Reaper, Handbrake, and QuickTime, and in Google Drive and on Vimeo. Bringing it into Premiere Pro, Audition, and two different non-Adobe-related dedicated captioning programs, it always reads 01:27:29:21. I had the editor re-export with CBR, which didn't help. I even re-exported that one through Handbrake with CFR, which still didn't fix it. I'm desperate, as a collaboration I'm doing is not working because our programs are reading the file differently.

*See attached video* Lumetri controls are nicely responsive and everything is fine. However, when I create an adjustment layer and put it on top of all my clips, and add a lumetri effect to that layer, the lumetri controls of the clips beneath it start to become VERY unresponsive (as in they lag a lot) but they still work. I downgraded back to v25 and the issue wasn't there, it's only happening in 25.1 Note: this only happens with the adjustment layer, it doesn't happen if I stack multiple lumetri effects on the same clip.

I recently upgraded to version 22.3.0, and I can no longer see the drop-down track effects rack. All of my effects appear to be gone, on the master track. Does anyone know a fix to this? Are they hidden somewhere else now?

I have a project where all the shots have "Scale to Frame Size" selected. The footage is all kinds of dimensions, from 640x360 to 6144x3240.  In order for resize and reposition keyframes to translate to our color vendor correctly, don't I need to undo all the "Scale to Frame Size" in the sequence and manually resize and reposition everything? Or is this unnecessary? I undid "Scale to Frame Size", then selected the clips on V1 and selected "Fill Frame" (as a lot of it is 1.9:1, that seems to give me a better head start). However, for some reason I don't understand, it seems to have deleted all my keyframes (although the initial repositioning was maintained). Any idea why this would delete my keyframes?
