Is there anyway to get the selected clip in a timeline using ExtendScript? And also get that clips in/out point (and other metadata).If not, any plans to implement it? I'm currently looking to do a "Publish" tool in Premiere for a vfx pipeline and I need to be able to "do stuff" on the selected clip./Simon

I have a windows 11 24H2 and 23H2 images through Azure with Standard_NC8as_T4_v3 GPU hosted in US East and South Brazil! When I login from US to both of these VM's and open the latest version of Premiere Pro to run the video footage, no issues. When the remote user in Colombia try to access both VM's he get's a delay within the footage! The VM is recording 3000/3000 gb and the user has 500/450 gb of internet! When the user try to access anything else on the machine or run normal videos through frame.io or just youtube or downloadable videos its running fine! When he opens Premiere Pro that's when the stuttering happens! There's no high latency but I notice the network communication route is longer from Colombia to South Brazil but still when I tested it from US East to South Brazil, I didn't see any issues! Is there any recommendations to solve this while using Adobe products via Azure VM? 

Hi, i worked 2 days on a video and today i opened the premiere file and my timeline is gone!The window is there, but the content is gone. I have 6 auto save files in no one anything is saved, all i see is the window with the files. what happened? no on in the company ever saw something like this before.    I exportet the file yesterday with no problems, saved it and closed premiere. no errors.. nothing.    Is there any possibility to relocate the timeline or were 2 days of work just gone???  

Hello, I am a picture editor on a feature film shot on LogC3 (via Alexa Mini). We're in the final stages and VFX need to be done on a few shots. I provided an exported shot for VFX and the colorist noted that it was in the wrong color space (Rec709). I've tried doing some research on how to export the footage from Premiere so that it's in the right color space but I'm confused if this is possible in Premiere from the mixed reports. Is it? I tried overriding the color via Modify > Color > Override Media Color Space > ARRI LogC3/Wide Gamut3 but then the footage looks wonky, like it's a LUT instead of Flat. Can anyone advise? Thank you.

I'm using the Cross Dissolve transition between clips and it works fine when the clips are from two different video files ("Soft Sculpture 1-17-24.mp4" and "Auman_SS_12_assembly....mp4"). But when I try to apply Cross Dissolve between clips from the same video file, the transition doesn't show. I've tried applying other transitions as well, and also tried copying the one that works and pasting it here. Neither of these works. This is the only difference I can find between the two instances. Any ideas on how to make this work?

Hello world   I'm halfway through grading a project and I'm need to use an track a lot of masks in Lumetri to fix the shots.   First half worked fine - around 50 shots no problem - copying and pasting a Lumetri effect with mask from clip to clip and adjusting and tracking.   Today , either the tracker is greyed out, or I can't adjust the mask, or the tracker launches but makes no progress.   I'm really, really stuck without this, so I'd appreciate any bright ideas from out there.  Hope you're all having a better day than I am!   Premiere 24.00 (Build 58) 2019 Retina iMac  / 8 x 3.6 i9 / Radeon Pro Vega 48 8GB 1080p25 timeline Yesterday - 4k p25 footage from Sony Venice MXF AVC Today - 4k p25 footage from A7S3 MP4 H264 Media on 1200 MB/s SSD via TB   I've tried restarting, trashing prefs, working on bare clips all to no avail...   H E L P!   James

Hi there,   I experienced a strange bug where after updating, I ingested AVI footage from a camera which records at 30.00 fps and noticed that the audio wasn't synced to the video.  I then noticed that at the head of each clip, the audio was in sync for almost exactly 1 second, then the audio 'restarts' while the video stays playing, causing the audio for the entire clip to then be behind for a second or so. There is also then missing audio at the end of the clip.    I first thought this was a camera issue, as the footage was fine when playing on any non-adobe players such as mpv so I tried to transcode the footage to mp4 via Media Encoder ( also latest version ) same thing happened.   Long story short, reverting Premiere pro back to verison 24.4.1 resolved the issue for me.    This seemed to happen exclusivly with AVI files as other .MOV files seemed to be fine.

Everytime I upgrade, it doesn't bring over my Workspaces (which takes hours to setup everything- 4 monitor setup ) or color prefernces that I use for EVERY edit I do. This is getting to be such a pain in the butt. Forget AI folks, you need to fix the core issues before adding optional extras.   Please make upgrading exciting, not a total nightmare.

ok, i hope this is not unique to me.  Premiere's source monitor and color scopes panel goes blank while i am working on lumetri color panel. I am able to grade for 5-10 minutes and then the "entire screen goes black" and when it comes back the lumetir scopes and source monitor are in this way as shown in the picture below. Grading is working perfectly smooth in 2022. However 2023-24-25 i am facing this problem. I upgraded the nvedia drivers as well to the laterst studio version 566.36. Below are my specs: Processor - 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-11900K @ 3.50GHz 3.50 GHzRAM 64.0 GB (63.9 GB usable)System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processorGraphics - Gforce RTX 3060 I really hope someone is able to help find a solution to this.  

When you activate the polygon mask you will get polygon with blue line. All corners except upper left corner show Selection Tool when mouse cursor hover over it, only upper left corner shows Hand Tool. What is the reason for that? How to convert Hand Tool into Selection Tool on that point? Video also attached.             

Hello Support,I have a subscription to Adobe Premier Pro in this account - Version : 25.I am however facing some issues in the same now.Issue :1. While I import a video in the app, only the audio is getting played, and not the video.2. I tried playing this in different versions, other than 25, but the same issue pops up.Please advise a solution for this.This is an urgent matter for me as it is harming our crucial hours.Please check and advise.

A voiceover I recorded directly into Premiere Pro seems to have something wrong with it. I recorded 5 voiceovers using Rode Wireless Me microphones, 4 of which were short tests. The 5th was a 36-minute interview. I found the files in Premiere's 'captured audio' folder. The tests had been labelled Audio 1, Audio 1_1, Audio 1_2 and Audio 1_3 but the long interview is listed in that folder as "224552b7-d49b-4285-8f27-1eb257466087.wav". I didn't change any settings between my recordings. According to Quicktime Player the audio format of the working files is Linear PCM, 32 bit little-endian floating point, 48000 Hz, which should be the same for the broken file, which does not play in Quicktime Player ("this file isn't compatible"), Apple Music or Finder. In Premiere Pro the file imports but appears empty. In the project timeline, the clip was labelled offline when I first found it broken, 10 days after recording. Hey all! I'm once again having issues with using Text-Based Editing in Premiere Pro 2025. I follow the instructions here ->https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/text-based-editing.html but the transcription never completes. I've tried playing around with putting the raw footage in the source window, program window, and the timeline down below with no improvements. It stays at 0% loaded with no estimation and then simply dissappears.This issue occurs often. I'll have no trouble editing videos for a few weeks and then I'll go to create a new project exactly as I normally do and then this issue happens. Today I did a complete uninstall and reinstalled the program without any improvements. Looking for any assistance that can be provided. Thank you! 

Hi all, So I always export my graphics from AE using animation RGB+alpha settings to use in Premiere. Never had issues until v23. Lately, I would import my graphics and it would look great. At some point, the text would almost pixelate around the font and give it a turquoise/blueish highlight. I cant seem to figure out what step is different from my typical exports from AE. It also exports from Premere like this. My work around is to reexport the composite from AE and replace the imported premiere clip and export my timeline before the newly inserted clip decides to turn blue again. am I missing a step? solutions? thanks!

My Premiere Pro is up to date, and the Creative Cloud says nothing is wrong with it. Recently, I've tried loading it up and it says "dvacore::config::Localizer not initialized. Check dvacore/config/Localizer.h" and I'm not sure what that even means. I need help because I can't edit any videos at all and its kinda my job.

You can see in the photo attached, my mask is effecting to the left of the mask in the same shape as the mask, as opposed to just inside the mask.

Hallo, ich habe heute ein Projekt geöffnet und festgestellt das einige Clips schraffiert sind. Ich denke nicht das es mit der verknüpfung der Medien zusammen hängt. Wenn ich die Clips, aus dem Schnittfenster mit doppelklick, im Quellmonitor öffne bekomme ich nur ein schwarzes Bild. Wenn ich aber die Clips im Projektordner öffne, finde ich die gesuchten clips und kann diese auch einsehen. Woran kann das liegen und wie bekomme ich meine Clips im Schnittfenster wieder hergestellt? Vielen Dank für die Hilfe!Gruß Robin

Hi everyone!I'm new to Premiere Pro. I am working with a black colored image. As the color of the program monitor window is also dark/black, I'm not able to see where my image starts and ends.  How do I change the color of the program monitor window from dark/black to white or grey? (I'm not talking about the color of the image that I'm working with.) Thank you.

Hi, I just updated Premiere Pro to v24 and since that my audio track effects (external VST from Valhalla here) are not exporting. If I open the SAME project file in Premiere Pro 23.6, everything works.  When playing the video inside Premiere v24 there is no issue at all, everything works as expected, the problem only occurs when I export the video.  I tried to delete cache, doesn't help. Tried with other projects with different audio effects : none of them are exporting but playback inside Premiere works. I'm exhausted of all these issues with Adobe Products, there is one open issue about the new Export Tab I wrote a year ago and still no news from Adobe. I have no more hope they will fix problems instead of adding new feature one day, but hey, at least if you have the same issue I have, you are not alone !  Platform : macOS Ventura (Intel) 

Hello!I'm an assistant editor at a production company, and we use Premiere Productions. We often have large amounts of footage shot over longer periods of time (documentary projects). Right now, we tend to create new projects for every new "load" of material, so that it's organised by date. This means that some of our Premiere Productions end up having a lot of material projects. I've also worked in companies that had only one project for all the material, and I wonder if that's better.We always organise our Productions so we have designated projects for material/footage and designated projects for editing. So material projects never contain any editing sequences. Is it an advantage that the footage is divided into several smaller projects (making them easier to read), or is it really a disadvantage, as Premiere constantly has to read material from several different projects rather than just one?Thanks in advance for any advice!

I have been having ongoing issues with Premiere Pro. The latest 25.1 is installed.I am editing using for example a nested sequence because I am replacing the orginal spoken voice over narration in a file so I use a nested sequence.What I usually do is transcribe the original spoken voice over track, then render as captions and use that a key so I know where to insert the replaced spoken audio. Such a sequence will include the video track, audio track and captions. I have not found a way to use either groups or linking to link all three elements som that when I add cut and drag then all 3 will move together. It's always so that the video and audio will drag but the captions do not stay with them. So I create a nested track so I can see only the video track nested into the main sequence and I can apply cuts there.So what's been happening is that I am going through the squence to edit it and after a while playback will stop - the program monitor is blank and clicking play does nothin

Created a test project. There are 15 4k h264 4:2:0 video tracks on the timeline, added a adjustment layer, Lumetri with LUT on it and moved the sliders a little. Duration is 1 minute. Windows 11 23H2, system: intel core 13600k, Geforce 3070, 64 GB RAM. Playing back the timeline. Premiere 25.0 - 0 frame drops.Premiere 25.1 - 950 frame drops and obvious freezes.Updated Windows 23H2 to 24H2 and tried to run the same test project on it. Nothing changed.My colleagues have the same problem. I think the reason for the slowdowns is the new priority of choosing a decoder dGPU -> iGPU. Please return to how it was in 25.0 iGPU -> dGPU.

When I load a clip into the source window and try to type in a timecode so I can jump to a specific spot in the clip, the timecode I type in appears but doesn' take and goes back to the starting timecode of the clip. I have restarted Premiere, turned off the computer and relaunched, no luck. However, when I came back the next day, it worked fine, but the problem repeated later in the day with another clip. I have Adobe Creative Suite and this is the latest update of Premiere.
