I changed my default (Open with) application from Premiere Pro Beta to the release version and now all my project files look like this. How can I fix this? 

Hi everyone,I have updated premiere pro to the 2017 release. After that, the icon of the file project (prproj) is the same as that of premiere application. I have tried to reinstall the program but nothing changed.How can I restart the default icon of the project?

Bonjour,   J'ai récemment installé la màj Prremière Pro 2025 (que je n'ai pas aimée à cause des effets obsolète qu'ils ont supprimé). J'ai donc décidé de passer sur les anciennes versions, PROBLEME: des bugs (barre son qui n'est pas fluide, de même pour le curseur).Je ne sais pas si c'est fait exprès par Adobe, afin de pousser à l'installation de la dernière màj, ou bien un problème qui peut-être réglé (sachant que j'ai déjà  cherché, mais sans succés).   Merci pour votre réponse.  

I encountered an issue in Adobe Premiere Pro where, when you press the spacebar to play the timeline, the video fast-forwards in jerky motions for a few seconds before settling into normal playback speed.

Have never posted to the forum before so bare with me. I update Premiere yesterday. This morning trying to export a short video, as I have a million times, and when airdropping tp iphone, or trying to download from dropbox, getting "unable to save this file type".  Solution was to export in H265, whilst this gets the files across and to client, this doesnt seem right. I normally export using match source adaptive.  I have tried using encoder, no luck. Tried all obvious things.  The only thing that has changed from yesterday is the new version of PP.  Mac studio, Sonoma 14.  Thank you. 

This is an issue i'm having with Premiere Pro 2024, as I have just updated my software. It seems that ripple deleting has just been absolutely blown out in this version, or at least for my project file.  I use "Q" and "W" to ripple delete footage. It does this action but the playhead will stay at the last spot it was at for about 10 seconds, my PC fans will roar up, then the playhead goes back to it's expected spot at the cut I made. I have a pretty good system and it's NEVER done this before today and it's becoming an absolute PAIN and quite literally UNUSABLE. It'll work when ripple deleting around 1-3 seconds of footage but then starts lagging when ripple deleting anything over 10 seconds.And please, don't suggest the "revert back to old version" as a "f i x". Project files cannot be reverted back to older years of Premiere.PC specifications:GPU: RTX 3070CPU: Ryzen 9 5900XRAM: 32GBOS: Windows 10

I did an audio with LOTS of filler words, very obvious ones in spanish, lot´s of ehhhh, and I tried to delete them with the filler option. First, I did the transcription, and then, when I tried to select the filler words, it didn´t work. It transcripted the text correctly, but it didn´t find them, and of course, the delete option was greyed because there were none. I hope it´s something I´m doing wrong and not that Adobe doesn´t have that option for spanish speakers. Any ideas? I annex the file just in case anyone wants to know what I´m talking about. I´m using Windows 11, Version 25.0.0 of Premiere, Build 61

In previous Premiere versions, I was able to highlight and select all video captions and make edits to the size, font, positioning, etc., that would change all captions at the same time. So far in Premiere Pro 25, I've been unable to find a way to do this. With the new properties box, I can double-click a particular caption and make edits to it there. But, I haven't found a way to apply those changes to all other captions — and it's not letting me select all captions to make edits to all at once. PLEASE, if anyone knows a fix to his, help! I would hate for something that once took less than 30 seconds to beecome an hours-long effort on longer videos I'm frequently editing for work. 

When I try to do a voice over the audio sounds like this. Why is this happening and how do I fix it? Really annoying.

New Prem Pro update 25 has quadrupled my exporting time. Same settings as previous versions.

i need help. My program monitor for both Pr and Ae do not show and is glitching when resized. I tried DDU for my Nvidia Drivers but it doesn't work. Anyone else experiencing this? I have the latest version of premier pro and the captions and graphics panel doesn't show up.

I'm trying to save some pretty large files from Premiere Pro but have limited space on my Macbook air. I do, however, have 2 TB of space on iCloud but it seems pointless becuase everytime I try to export a large video file from Premiere (file path is always to save in iCloud folder) I never have enough space locally on my Mac. At a loss here because these videos are way too large for my laptop to keep or process. 

Adobe Premiere Pro 24.1 for macOS 15.0.1 on an M2 MacBook Pro. Whenever I export a Premiere Pro'24 (macOS) project, User/Documents/Adobe starts uploading something to iCloud, as you can see in the attached screenshot. It begins uploading as soon as the very 1st step of the export begins: "Rendering Required Audio Files." However, I don't want any part of the exporting progress to touch User/Documents; hence, on the final export screen, I set Location to a subfolder within User/Movies. I've also moved all the files that used to be under User/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Pro/24.0 to a new folder in User/Movies/Adobe/Premiere Pro/24.0 (eg Adobe Premiere Pro Audio Previews). I want to avoid User/Documents because my iCloud syncs w/ User/Documents but not User/Movies, & I do not want Premiere Pro exports to sync w/ iCloud for obvious storage reasons. But I don't see even anything in Premiere Pro>Settings that's currently set to User/Documents

I'm a beginner at Premiere Pro, and I've been working on a project. I've started having terrible lagging when dragging images across the program monitor.Playback seems to work without any trouble. I have several images and several layers of video that all appear on the program monitor at the same time.I have an Intel Core i7-10700, 32 GB of RAM, and an SSD. I'm using the integrated graphics card.I'm not quite sure how to begin troubleshooting.Thanks in advance,Bill 

I am trying to create a full screen graphics with white text over a solid black background. When I create my text, I have the option of a background which seems pretty intuitive.  However, when I check the box, the background is just slightly larger than the text. So, I used the Size control to adjust the size of the background but it has a maxium of 500, which does not fill the screen!   So how do I create an Essential Graphic with a solid background?        

Olá comunidade, tudo bom!Usou basicamente o premiere pra edição de conteúdo para educação e com a última atualização iquei bem perdido. Tudo que era simples e natural de fazer para mim sumiu ou mudou de lugar. Para formatar o texto de uma legenda transcrita mudou demais o caminho pra mim, e não consigo usar funcões simples que eu utilizava, como por exemplo mesclar legendas ou textos graficos. Não parece e não sei onde encontrar. Se algum puder me ajudar com isso ficaria muito grato.Não tem mais o botão/icone de mesclar legendas.E para ormatar os textos tenho que ir em propriedades agora, não dá pra formatar na aba Graphics mais.

Idk if something is wrong with my adobe workspace but I am trying to find the settings for the lumetri panel. Everytime I have the panel on, the settings is not there. Good evening, I am looking for some help with my project. I created a motion graphic that allowed me to change out the image using an image control. However, since the new update, I am not able to change the image. Has this method changed? Do I need to update my graphic?

Hello, I am looking for a general answer, not a specific solution. At all the big TV stations where I work, I find that the edit stations are not connected to the net, for security reasons. It is a general method to avoid malicious intrusion into the machines. Is it possible for them to set up the premiere to work with AI related features such as TEXT EDIT or GENERATED EXTEND while still preventing any user from connecting to the machine via the internet and still keeping the internal network of the TV channel secure?

I often need to quickly push an edited selection to the left to touch the previous videos. Is there a shortcut I could use or edit to make this happen quickly?
