Hi all, ive been used Premiere for quite some time. and i STILL can not get my head around placing clips into the timeline. if i haveV1, V2, V3andA1, A2 ,A3and i have a clip occupying V1 and A1 and i want to place a clip above V1 and into V2 WHY WHY WHY does it ALWAYS override the audio in A1!!!! why??? it sooooooooooooooooo annoying. this is soooooooo frustrating.please view attached videoHELP? 

Hi there, I've used Corner Pin for years and didn't notice anything weird about the video colors until now that I am getting chromatic noise (shades of magenta, mostly in the whites) right after adding the Corner Pin effect to my clip. I don't need to move the corners to see the messed-up color. I can see it even before applying any Lumetri Color changes right in the V-Log original footage. I used to record with a GH5 and never noticed this, but now I am noticing this in the GH6. Other effects under the Distort tab in Premiere don't add these magenta artifacts, only the Corner Pin. 😞After exporting, the problem persists. This is a video. I want to export left side [image with white background] of the video only. Is it possible in Pr? if it is possible please give me the name of the operation, I can search it in YouTube. As you know correct name is important to get a correct video.   

So we have a tool that reads EDL files from premiere to make a edit list in word so that notes can be made and given back to the editor. this worked great for the Legacy Titles. However I just know that any day im gonna update premiere only to find them gone. So I have recreated my Titles in the form of Essential Graphics Templates. The problem is this when I Export that track to and EDL all of the elements just show up as "Graphics" 000002 AX V C 01:00:00:00 01:00:05:00 00:00:07:29 00:00:12:29* FROM CLIP NAME: GraphicEven if I name the clip in the timeline using the content of th title the way I did in the legacy system I still get "* FROM CLIP NAME: Graphic" in the EDL file. is there an option that I'm missing or can Adobe make it so that the proper name fromt he timeline is reflected in the EDL export? This is a total deal breaker and I have to come up with a solution for thhis before I can adopt this workflow.

Hi community I've been editing with 6K braw for a few years. I now have a 30 minute nature doc for my final Uni assignment. A H264 1920 plays back smoothly but when I match source it does not play back smoothly in various sizes/bit rates. The smaller 8 GB version is the best but still slightly jitterythe pro res Quicktime took 12 hours nd was 357 GB... so not even practical at all since I need to WE transferI have some 4K footage mixed in and some photos. This usually isn't a problem. My laptop is an Omen but older now i5 core and almost out of memory. I think this is my main issueI'm wondering if it might playback smoothy on another machine. Any ideas? Exporting 4K would be choice but then I get the black bars on the side. Thanks for any suggestions. Bethan

I have inserted two audio files from an interview. Each file has been individually transcribed but when I put it in the sequence it is only showing one speaker. When I delete one of the files, the other one appears. I'm trying to see the full transcription from both speakers in the interview.

HiSpecification: Ryzen 3600 + 16GB, Windows 10 22H2Video: 1080p/60 + 2x cutted, color keyed streams, duration 1h30-2hPremiere Pro 24.1Recently I was using GTX 1050 2GB and everythinh was fine. ~2h long sequence as described above was successfully exported with hardware acceleration.Next, I have upgraded gpu to GTX 1650 Super 4GB. Then Premiere started crashing. Firstly, I have observed that after editing sequence for some time, video preview is getting blank (audio is ok) and exporting always crashes with error -1609629695. Restarting Premiere restores video preview and exporting possibility until it crashes once again after some time. It does not depend on sequence duration. It happens also on very short sequences (less than minute) with one video stream.The same crashes occur while exporting. It crashes randomly after 10, 20 or sometimes after 40 minutes. Types of crashes:1. the program freezes, cpu/gpu usage goes to idle, cancel button is working2. error -16096296953. error 3At all

My premiere pro runs totally fine normally with no lag or issues, but when the essential graphics tab is open at all, the timeline chugs behind and the video will also lag. If essential graphics is closed, the issue goes away, does anyone else have this issue?

Hey all.  At one point I had the ability to click on a clip in the Program window and then manually resize it, but now clicking on it does nothing.  I'm not sure what I did.Second bit, i'm learning about the motion controls for some sketches involving panning & zooming around a comic book page.  Following the logic of the first bit (which is simply clicking on and stretching a clip to fit the frame manually with the mouse), is there a way to move the clip with the mouse at keyframe points and resize it quickly instead of going to the effects panel?

Hi all. I used to be able to do this but cannot for the life of me find the reasources to help. I'm trying to create a mask and need to be precises where it goes, so I zoom in but cannot move my frame to where I'm trying to go for the mask. What do I need to do?

When I try to play a long scrolling text, it splits in half vertically and transposes both sides so left is on the right. What might be causing this? See screenshots.When I press play It starts like the second one and after a few seconds corrects itself to the first one.  ???Thanks for any suggestions..  

I see lots of posts here and on Reddit about this, but no *real* solutions. Those posts go back to 2018 or earlier! Premiere Pro 2023Rendering a 4k video Title fonts change when I export a 16 minute video. This is ridiculous. Has anybody found a proper fix?

I've selected my clip. Then In Effect Controls I highlight the 'Motion' bar, and I see the bounding box but no anchor point. (Pro 2024 on Win 10). Thanks!

I'm trying to add in and out points on Video and Audio Track 3 which I have selected in the Timeline.  Instead, they are falling on Track 1 as per the screen shot.  I was able to do this correctly on Track 2.  Why is this happening?  

Hi there, I'm attemping to export a Apple ProRes 422 HQ file with discrete 5.1 + Lt/Rt audio on channels 1-8 (L, R, C, LFE, Ls, Rs, Lt, Rt). However, some tracks in the original file were out of order / empty and I needed to do some rearranging, as seen below.I am now running into an issue when exporting - I have the audio channel configuration set to channels 1-8, discrete. What I think I need to do is make it so that tracks 1-8 are also channels 1-8. But I'm not sure how to do that. If I select the audio in track 1 and select channel 1 in "audio channels," the track then becomes what I have as channel 1 down in track 7. I hope this isn't phrased too confusingly. Essentially, what I think I need is tracks 1-8 to also be channels 1-8, without changing what's on the source tracks. Anyone have ideas on how to do this? Hi all, has anyone experienced this issue or have a solution?   If I open up a project that was saved with the Essential Graphics panel closed, Premiere fires up in 4 secs. If I open the same project after saving it with the Essential Graphics panel open. Premiere hangs for 30 secs then slowly loads the windows as if struggling.Closing the panel is instant, re-opening the panel causes the same long hang, so does changing the workspace from one where it's closed to one where the panels open. I also lose my video on the program monitor when it finially opens, which pops back when if I rezise the window.   Any suggestions would be very much appreciated? I've done the obvious things, reset the app preferences, cleared the media cache, even uninstalled and reinstalled premiere but it's now driving me nuts!   Thanks everyone 🙂

Hi, I've been struggling for a while to do some simple editing of files imported from an iPhone 13. In the properties on the imported files, I see: Type: MPEG MovieColor Space: REC. 2100 HLGVideo Codec: HEVC 10 bit 4:2:0 I'm using Windows 10, and have updated to the latest Premiere Pro. The source videos look great in Windows Media Player. When I work on them in Premiere Pro, the colors are a little duller, and I'm not sure which one is "truth". But I'd hope that I could simply export to the same format and see the same colors in Media Player. I believe I understand the basics of 10-bit/HDR, and would prefer not to lose that information, given that Media Player does fine when playing back the source file, and future hardware that I own might show the full HDR data. I've tried a *lot* of permutations in the Export dialog, as using "Match Source" seems to yield incorrect results. The closest I've come to truly matching the source is to use QuickTime, the "Apple ProRes 422

Hey guys I am quite desperate here, I have finished a video, color corrected and graded with a lut. When on preview everything looks the same but after export the colors are blown out, whites completely overexposed, blacks darker than my soul, and overall a pinkish orangish look. I have no idea what can be, I used to use premiere 2018 and never had any problems but with the 2022 this has happen for my last 2 videos. Any idea on what could it be? Thanks!

I just started working on a project with about 900GB of footage in which all of it was shot on Sony cameras, some Venice and the rest FX6. The footage is 3840x2160, SLog3 Cine, XAVC codec. The issue that I am having is that when I try to play the footage in the sequence or the source window there is a several second playback delay. And if I scroll or move around in the sequence there is a seconds long lag before it gets to the frame I have moved to. Lowering the playback resolution has no effect. And Premiere is not in the midst of creating peak files — it already completed those.  I am able to playback comparable resolution footage shot with other cameras just fine. And I am able to play the same Sony footage in Davinci Resolve with no playback issues. So this is not an issue with the computer or hard drive not being fast enough to play high res footage.  The footage is stored on a fast SSD Thunderbolt 3 drive. And I am using a MacPro 2.5 GHz 28-core Intel Xeon, AM

Have a new problem with Transcribe today. I've never liked the updated version of Transcribe where you have to select "Generate Static Transcription" It used to be you could just select your sequence on the timeline and click Transcribe. Then that changed. Now, I try to click Generate Static Transcription and when the window pops up "Continue" is grayed out. So, I can't Transcribe. It just shows the transcription of a single sound bite instead of the entire sequence. I've tried re-transcribe and nothing changes. I just want to delete the transcription that it shows and transcribe the sequence. Thoughts?

Hello everyone, I have a problem where it won't let me install Premiere Pro. I think that my computer's compatibility is not adequate, but after reviewing the recommended requirements, I meet all of them. 

i want to import a sequence from another project without importing and duplicating rawmaterial- as the material is already in my project, and I don't want copies of it, but rather reconnect to the already existing and imported raw material

Hey there, I am coming to this forum because I have problems with the text tool since the latest update of premiere pro.Everytime I want to type some text on the textlayer, it does not let me type anything at all!If I type "h" for example the hand tool is triggered, but it does not show the "h" in the textbox. I need help quickly please, because I am working daily with this feature and can't work like this.... 😞
