HelloWant to export a XML from Adobe Premiere for Davinci Resolve in the right way. I have been exporting XML from Premiere to Davinci for ages and never got any problem. But want to know what Adobe engineers suggests to export a XML from Adobe Premiere to color grade in Davinci Resolve?So I shoot this film in 3840x2160 XF-AVC in my Canon C70. I am done with my editing in Adobe Premiere. Now I am going to send it for color grading. My colorist uses Davinci Resolve.My timeline setting are:Frame size: 1440x1080Square Pixels23,976 fpsDelivery codec: Apple Pro res 422Want to create a XML to send it to Davicini Resolve. Want the colorist to color grade an 1440x1080 timeline. Why I want that? Because I want the final frame size in 1440x1080 and want the colorist to color grade only the crop image (shoot it in 3840x2160 and my final frame size is 1440x1080).How should I prepare my timeline, in the right way, for an Adobe Premiere XML exporting to DaVinci Resolve using my timeline configuratio

This is incredibly frustrating. Abobe, why did you change this? version 25.0 / premiere / sonoma 14.7 In older versions, "match frame" would show the used clip, both in and out point in the source monitor. This was useful for when I would need to replace the raw media back into the timeline with a simple, match frame, then insert/overwrite. It was an easy way to very quickly replace clips. This is now no longer possible, and has completely ruined my workflow for many big projects. Please make it possible to match frame both in and out points, I beg you!

I’m looking for some workflow advice from editors cutting heavier performance-based material in Premiere. I recently finished a band performance shoot where I have 17 takes of the same song stacked in a single sequence, essentially 17 video layers one above the other. My goal is to cut it almost like slicing a layer cake from top to bottom, meaning I want to move through the stacked takes visually and choose moments from each layer as I build the final edit. I haven’t cut a music video in years and this way of cutting was never an issue but I also never cut open gate material inside of a UHD timeline. Here’s the issue:Even when only the top visible layer is actually showing in the timeline output, I’m still getting dropped frames and laggy playback. It feels like Premiere is still trying to evaluate or play all 17 layers at once, even though nothing underneath the top layer is visible unless I cut down to it. My setup is not weak: Mac Pro M2 Ultra. 192 GB RAM. I have a merged source where I have combined audio track with video (due to studio outputting wrong/bad files) and using these merged sources in my edit. I have just noticed that these new clips have separate tracks (L/R) where if I need to edit volume I have to do it to both audio tracks. But another video source (see image below) one track has L/R. How do I change the audio tracks for A1 and A2 to be like A3 in one track only? 

HelloWondering if anyone else has had the same issue. Im trying to move a project from my MacBook to my iMac using the method of Project Manager; Collect files and copy to new location.But every time I try this I get a error message saying "an unknown error occurred during the project manager operation. Please save your project and retry the operation". I tried that and still no luck.Anyone able to shed light on the situation would be great. after the last update of premier pro there is no longer the option to crop a clip/image/video with handles but only with % (right, left, bottom, up). when applying the crop effect and using the pen mask tool, i can use handles but i can’t succeed to get to the result that the cropped area is left and all the rest is erased. it was so much easier before… any solution?

HelloI am investigating if it is possible to automate the batch unnesting of trimmed nested clipped in timeline, creating new video channels for the “exposed” clips? (Just like Resolve’s decompose clip)I can see a sequence nesting script in the community scripts that I am trying to retro fit for this need.Could it be possible? Any thoughts most welcomeThank you

I want to make a gradually decaying size bounce effect to apply to a small logo on the corner of a video to call attention to it once in a while.That means the logo would become larger, then smaller, then larger (but not as large), then smaller (but not as small), a few times and then settle to its original size.I manage to do it using FI pop motion impact but it is tedious. A demo video is attached. Because the transition causes the size of the logo to start from zero, I have to nest it and cut off the first few frames so it starts from slightly larger than the logo original size.Is there a simpler way to do this, without having to nest and cut off a few frames?

Hello, I’ve been using Premiere for almost a year now and feel very comfortable using it (I haven’t fully mastered color correction though.) I do want to get certified in Premiere and After Effects. I plan on taking the Premiere Certification exam in another month or 2. Do you all have any advice or coaching tips that could help? I want to make this a career. Bug Report: Missing Mask Tools (iOS) Problem: The Masking tools (Ellipse, Rectangle, Pen) have completely disappeared in Premiere Pro 2026 on iOS. Location: Missing in both Opacity and Crop effects, across all tabs (Source and Clip settings). Comparison: In the 2025 version, these tools worked perfectly. In the current 2026 version, the icons are gone. Customer Feedback: I am a paid subscriber, and encountering such a major flaw in a paid product is a huge disappointment. I feel misled by this update. Expectation: Restore the Mask selection (Pen/Shapes) icons in the Effect Controls immediately.  

I exported a project and upon review there are several cases of incorrect footage being exported.  I dug further into the file and for the files that were not exporting correctly then took them offline.When I look at the source window in the upper left, the offline media shows up as a green screen, it knows that it is offline.However, in the timeline clip (and what is being exported) is an entirely different file.  The project should be showing me a blank screen with no footage but it’s gone ahead and found some and just stuck it in.  Does anyone know what is happening or how I might fix it?

After one of the most recent updates, the mouse scroll wheel will only move the plahead in the timeline if you are hovering over the Playback Monitor timeline, rather than the before where you could hover over anywhere in the Playback Monitor. Otherwise you're just zooming in and out of the Playback Monitor.Not sure if this is considered a bug or not but it would be nice to be able to have a setting to turn this on or off. 

I’ve been running into an issue with the search bar at the top of the Project Panel. At times, I’ll enter a word that I know exists in the project (in a sequence name, clip name, or metadata), and Premiere returns no results. However, if I manually navigate through the bins, I can clearly find the item. This isn’t a one-off….it happens intermittently and makes the search function feel unreliable. Is this a known bug, or is there something about how the Project Panel search works that I might be missing?

I am working on a script that can change selected multicam or sequence video frame size settings.Gemini Ai is not being as reliable as I would have hoped, so maybe some can tell me where I am going wrong.Thank you 

Hey all, Quick question — screenshot attached.  IMG_4403.MOV is an iPhone 16 Pro Max clip In all my sequences, its audio behaves normally: both channels show on A1 (single track) I synced it with a DJI lav on A2, sliced the beggining and end, and created a Merge Clip. Problem:The merged clip splits the camera audio as follows: A1 = left A2 = right A3 = lav  I am trying to get the Merged Clip audio to follow the original format: scratch audio on A1, lav audio on A2.  I’ve tried to look into it on my own but I can’t figure it out. Please and thanks :) Screenshot:The clip on the left shows the highlighed clips that were selected when I clicked Merge Clips, as well as the dialog popup as it appeared before I clicked OK. Then, further to the right on this timeline, I pulled the Merged Clip in to show the audio track issue.  

I set-up lots of premiere projects from scratch and was wondering if Automation Blocks could run a script which will set-up a custom order bin structure within in premiere projects? Example:00 SQs(sub bins) 01 SYNC > 02 STRINGOUTS > 03 Current Edits > 04 Delivery01 Rushes02 Audio(sub bins) Music03 GFXS(sub bins) Logos > Sub Styles04 Stock(sub bins) Artlist 

Has anyone figured out why Premiere Pro doesn't seem to recognize the "Creation Date" metadata for DJI Mic 2 files, despite MacOS recognizing it? (see pics that show the discrepancy). Is there is any fix for this? As of now, Premiere just shows a blank metadata field, and I am trying to fix that. Thank you folks! 

I am beaten… I have been grappling withe a video which keeps exporting blank. After doing more tests than I can name. I have got to the problem being the caption file i am importing. if I export with no captions it exports fine. If i import an SRT file with no bot or with bot the video renders and publishes blank, splendid audio though. The project is important and I have exhausted all i can think of. I have to say, I have never known such a difficult video to publish. Doe any one have any ideas? I have tried hardware encode and software encode, all the same. 

Hi, i’m currently working on a small sized premiere pro project. 768x128 pixels (15 second duration)  with just moving texts and video assets downloaded from vecteezy.  Premiere pro lags and is very slow, like simply moving the text or playback would take 20-30 seconds to actually do its thing. i’m not sure what the issue is. My premiere works ok when handling 2k to 4k video resolution so i’m not sure why it’s very slow on small projects. system:Intel i5 14450HXRAM 64GBGPU RTX 4060

Another day, more errors. Everything was working yesterday, but today there's another error. I've already deleted the files that were causing it to freeze, but now it's starting to freeze on other files.

Just updated PR and the new masking scenario is confusing - I am unable to animate keyframe track mask. I start one first keyframe, draw my mask, next keyframe I move points, but then go back to previous keyframe and my initial position is gone and the shape of the second keyframe what’s there. How do I get my old way back where I can keyframe masks quick?? I am also missing these buttons  

In this project I'm on, I'm working with 3 video angles and 3 audio tracks and some graphics layers as well.  I can't find a way that lets you select the clips that are under the playhead.  Not to the right or left of the playhead, just everything that's at the the playhead. Is there a quicker and easier way rather than just dragging the mouse down across the width of the timeline?

I am trying to put a black box over the eyes of children to disguise them in photos. I want the box applied to the photo itself, not a matte that sits on the track above. I plan to add motion to the photos once I get this resolved. I don't want to nest either.I don't know if there is something wrong with my copy of Premiere, but I've been trying to figure this out for the past two hours using Gemini, and the things suggested just don't seem to exist in my version. As far as I know, I have the latest version (26.0.2) but when I apply things like Gaussian Blur, I don't get the circle & square icons to use for creating a matte (not that I want to do a Gaussian Blur, just using it as an example as I've lost track of all the things I've attempted so far). I just am NEVER finding the circle & square icon under effects in Effect Controls panels when they are applied to clips. Yet when I look at YouTube videos, this seems to be how it works. Any ideas as far as why it's not working, or

I have a color theme that I use inside of Premiere Pro, to which I’ve imported to Libraries, that I use to quickly apply color variations to captions in Essental Graphics via eyedropper.Typical behavior: When I have text highlighted, I hit the eyedropper icon next to Appearance > Fill inside the Essential Graphics panel and choose a color from my color theme.Irregular behavior: I had a power outage blip, and since returning online with my computer, the color is now desaturated both visually, and when I use the eyedropper. It picks a completely different color than what the HEX code states. Meaning, the HEX is still correct, but the eyedropper does not choose that color.It is like the Libraries tab is on a different color profile than the rest of the application. My yellow is #FFD800 where the HEX is correct still in the color profile, but eyedropper chooses #F9DA42 for some reason.Any idea what’s going on here?Issue with image:Green is #A8FF00, but eyedropper from ‘Fill’ chooses #B9
