Premiere Pro 2024 no video preview - renderer option greyed out Macbook Air m2 2023

Hi,

 

I have a 2023 M2 macbook air running premiere pro 2024 and have no preview video when playing a video file.  There is a still in the preview frame but the video does not run.  When checking settings the video renderer is greyed out.  I have tried to find a 2023 version but there isn't one to download through the adobe cloud.

    Actually I solved this one

     

    I had imnported the videos into Photos on mac and from there they cannot be exported directly into Premiere Pro.  If you drag and drop they become jpeg files.  I had to start again from a folder in mac and once dropped from there they work fine
