Question

When I double click on my preview screen it goes black and I can't resize any videos on premiere pro

Hi everyone,

I'm having a problem resizing videos. The screen goes black without showing the resize handles when I try to adjust a video. The video itself plays fine in the preview, but this black screen issue only happens when I'm resizing. I can drag the video, but I can't see where to due to the black screen. It's only after I play the preview again that I realize the video has moved.

I've tried resetting the workspace, making sure 'Show Transform Controls' is selected, and restarting my PC. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Delete the Media Cache and Media Cache files:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the preferences:

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site. If NVIDIA, do a clean installation of the latest Studio Driver (NOT the Game Driver).

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.
