Have you ever set out to make multiple edit point selections, only to accidentally click in the wrong place and wipe out all of your selections thus forcing you to have to go back and start the selection process all over again? Well fear not my friends, because the beta now contains a keyboard shortcut called ‘Restore Trim Selection’. To access, open the keyboard shortcut panel (Premiere Pro menu on Mac, Edit menu on windows) and search for ‘Restore Trim Selection'. Enter your desired keyboard shortcut (No shortcut is assigned by default). Then when you make your edit point selections (hold down shift and keep clicking edit points in the timeline), if you accidentally miss the edit point and all your selections are removed, simply hit your keyboard shortcut and your edit point selections will be restored. Things to note: Restore Trim Selection restores only the last selected edit point(s), it is not part of the undo stack. If yo
Hi there,There is a bug in the importscreen. There is no playhead on the videos if you scrub through them.
When generatin captions sometimes it shows two lines with only a couple words on the top line and several on the bottom. Character count is set to 45. Sure seems like it should show as many characters as it can on the first line and wrap those that can't fit onto the second line. Ultimately it would be great to give us control to set character counts for both line of a multiple line Caption. Also...when will we be able to upload our own script that the Transcription process can use for more accurate Transriptions? Thanks!!!
22.2.0 Build 25 Suddenly I cannot play back. When I hit spacebar, the pointer moves and the timeline counter counts, but nothing changes in the Program window. When I stop it refreshes on the last frame stopped. I was adjusting L-R positioning of the image in the frame using the Position numbers in Effect Controls, and had successfully done several dozen clips when the PB engine started freezing. An app restart will probably clear it up.
22.2.2.0 Build 17 Ran into an odd quirk with the Export window. It's easy to accidentally close Premier if you're not paying attention. So here's what happened:I've been exporting a lot of clips, and I lost where I last exported one to. To check I went to Export just to see what the last path used was. Seeing it, I was ready to go back File Explorer to find the file, and in the absence of the cancel button, I clicked the red X. I got a "do you want to save" dialog, and no I did not want to save the export, so I clicked No. Premier closed! I lost my work. Doh! The issue is the Export takes over the whole screen and the normal Windows navigation LOOKS LIKE it will just close the Export dialog. Instead it will close the whole program.First the Export window needs a Cancel button that will take it back to Edit.Second, it might be best if the Export window pops up in a window that can be closed with normal UI gestures independent of the pro
PP Beta 22.2.0.19.Steps to reproduce :1) I have opened PP Beta on import tab and I have selected 3 thumbnails.2) I have closed PP BetaThe result : unable to open again PP Beta (with error window).
We're happy to offer early access to some new Background improvements for Captions and Essential Graphics in PrPro 15.3 Beta. Specifically, you can now put Rounded Corners on your text background and also set it to have a Per-Line fill instead of All Lines. We are looking forward to your feedback! You can access this feature by selecting a Caption Segment or Text Layer and then checking on the Background control under Apperance in the Essential Graphics Panel. You will then see a "Corner Radius" control that will let you round your corners. Then, by clicking on the Appearance > Graphics Properties button (looks like a wrench), you can set your Fill Mode to be Per-Line or All Lines. Here are a couple of images to help you understand where these controls are located. Enjoy!Check on Background to see the Corner Radius and other controls: Choose Per-Line Fill Mode in Graphics Properties:
Hi, my software keeps crashing on me when I create a subsequence. Don't know if this is a bug or if it is something I am doing but it's annoying and if I haven't to saved changes before it happens I am starting over.
Premiere 2022 brought a lot of color managment changes to Premiere Pro. There are new and/or different options, spread out in several places around the application. Plus there have been several major default changes in the way Premiere reacts to many Log and most HLG/PQ media clips. This has caused a fair amount of stress among the users, and it's confusing. Even trying to explain the changes is difficult, in listing the many things that have changed. But the most difficult problem for users is that the CM settings are spread out in bits & drabs here and there. Project settings, clip properties in the bins, sequence settings, scope settings. Why is this such a major problem? When you have a mismatch, you have to hunt all over the app for the places to check various settings! We should have a single Color Management Panel ... with a set of controls for app-wide and default behaviors, and another tab for project or sequence over-rides to the default.
22.2.0 Build 11 If I create settings to export without audio by turning the audio switch off in the settings, then save the preset, the audio settings are not remembered the next time the preset is invoked. I do not check Effects Setting or Publish Settings when creating the preset. Is that necessary? Steps to recreate:1. Select an area of timeline2. Click Export3. Dial in video settings4. Turn OFF audio via blue switch5. Click ... to create new preset, give it a name without checking the boxes.6. Send to Media Encoder7. Select another area of timeline8. Click Export9. Choose preset just created RESULTAudio will still be enabiled EXPECTED RESULTAudio to be disabled. WORKAROUNDRemember to turn off audio before sending to AME
When I use the Clip Volume effect on a music audio clip and use the playback it plays at the correct volume. For example, if I set the Clip Volume effect to be at -20 db, it plays back at -20 db correctly. However, instead if I scrub through the clip on the timeline without simply pressing play it scrubs through at full volume which can be jarring and hurt your ears while you're going through clips. I don't think this is intentional, or at least I hope it isn't.Additionally, bit of a side note, the save system info to clipboard when clicking report a bug does not seem to work.Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 1800X Eight-Core Processor 3.80 GHzVideo Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070Installed RAM: 64.0 GBSystem type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor (Windows 10)
22.2.0 build 9 It's crashing when setting out points. Procedure1. Place time indicator at a random position2. Type I to set inpoint3. Place time indicater at a later position4. Type 0 to set outpoint Result:1 out of 3 times the program will wink out. All changes lost. Expected resultProgram to still work. WorkaroundBecause AME is no longer respecting Work Area, I have to use In-Out to slice up a clip for export to smaller files. I'll either have to revert to the current release version or export them without using AME and selecting with the work area bar.
Hi!I shot some footage on an anamorphic lens.I made a timeline with the exact size, inserted the footage andused transform to stretch the footage as needed. But now only software encoding works when rendering 😞 Is there a solution for that. Software encoding is sadly ultra slow
Hi Adobe Support Community, I love the new NVENC encoder. Makes my encodes in h.265 so much faster! However, there is one big issue that I cannot seem to fix unless I use software encoding. Whenever I render a sequence which is in HD Anamorphic 1.33, I get a squeezed image such as the one here: When I utilize normal software encoding, this is the result:The software encoding has the intended effect. I cannot find a way to fix this without switching to software encoding, does anyone have a fix for this? If not Adobe, please fix this ASAP. I love the new hardware encoder and it greatly speeds up my workflow, and I would like to use it on my anamorphic projects.
I'm trying to create a transcript in Premiere Pro and even though I'm authenticated to CC, the dialogue box says it can't connect (see the information icon). Here's a screenshot:I'm running this release of Premiere Pro Thanks for any assistance you may be able to provide.
Transcription stopped working in Beta 22. This new version from today, 22.1.1 is still broken for me but now at least I get an error message. It keeps trying to download a language packet - which it never said that before. In previous Beta 22 versions, it would just do nothing after downloading the language pack. Now, it gives an error which I attached. The error message also doesn't go away by clicking the X, so it requires a restart to remove it and continue working.
When trying to use the Speech to Text transcription generation, the dialogues boxes seems to be trying to generate text, however nothing happens once the process finishes.
Noticed bug in PP Beta. The issue occurs when trying to render project by replacing excisting file. Premiere asks if you want to replace exising file, but automaticly starts to render new file with the name of sequence.
Having seen the "in development" HEVC encoding (in PPro Beta), I thought I'd give it a go, and sent a sequence to export using HEVC (H.265). (I've successfully exported that same sequence many times using H.264). I have an RTX3090 24GB GPU, so thought I might see some impressive export speeds. But it always fails, very soon after clicking Export, with the following error: Error compiling movie.Export ErrorError completing render.Writing with exporter: HEVC (H.265)Writing to file: \\?\E:\Exports\Auto Event WIP09 H265.mp4Writing file type: HEVCAround timecode: 00:00:00:23 - 00:00:01:12Component: HEVC (H.265) of type ExporterSelector: 9Error code: 3 ...and then when I quit PPro, I get a "Sorry, an error occurred" message (report sent).I have Nvidia drivers version 496.13 installed; I'm now updating to 496.49 to see if it helps. UPDATE: I just updated my Nvidia drivers to today's latest release, and the problem is still there, exactly the same. H.265 export NEVER works and a
22.1.1 Build 59While adjusting work area bar, program winks out.Similar to issue in previous builds.
So here's an oddity. I have 16fps AVI footage from film transfers that I'm importing. (BTW they're the MJPEG codec AVIs that were crashing in an earlier build. They work fine now. Thank you.) I create a new sequence from clip, which comes in as 4:3, 2048x1536, 16fps. I convert the sequence to 24fps HD 1920x1080. I set the clip to scale to frame size, then apply Optical Flow time interpolation to smooth out the frame interpolation cadence. The render bar turns red. If I then scale the picture up a bit, the render bar turns yellow. I find that curious. Wonder why?
22.1.1 build 59While I love the new Export screen, what bugs me when I have a bunch of timelines I need to export quickly is that the preset has to be changed each time I send an export to AME. Once set, the preset should apply to all exports in the project. Also we still fight the problem that the default export location is the last-used destination. That leads to exports winding up where you can't find them if you're moving too fast. First export in a project should default to the project folder (with the project file), then subsequent exports remember that location, (Fortunately, subsequent exports of sequences remember the project's export default.)
Das Programm stütrzt bei meinem Macbook ab, wenn ich auf ,,Videoausgabe maximieren" klicke.
version: 22.1.0x110Dynamically Linked comps are unusable in the latest release of PPro Beta. If I load up a previously created project (which works perfectly in the public release PPro 2021), it always forgets the links for the DL comps. They show up as missing in the Project Panel, even though the file locations have not changed, and the project loads/links perfectly in PPro 2021. If I then Relink a comp, the file slector box appears, with the correct AE project already highlighted (so PPro does really know where to find it). If I then choose that project and click OK, PPro always hangs, and my CPU and disks are showing around 0% usage, so PPro is clearly doing nothing. The only workaround is to render stuff out of AE and drop the movie onto the timeline like in ye olden dayes. As a side note, after I went through the non-linking process above, then did a force-quit of PPro Beta, then reloaded PPro Beta and that same project, then deleted the DL comps from my timeline, and attemp
When trying to select appearance for captions, the fill and background pull down menus don't work correctly. I had this issue with previous versions of Premiere, then it was fixed and now it is back.
