Hello everyone. I tried in vain to import 3D data e.g. Stp in Stager. Now my company has a subscription but it still doesn't work. What can I do? Thanks for your help!

I and many others have this problem with Adobe Dimension, and I thought maybe it wouldnt be an issue in Stager... When I click edit on a graphic, image, or decal it won't open in Photoshop like it did just a week or so ago. I used to be able to VERY easily modify the color of anything in photoshop, click save, and it would change in Dimension/I assumed it would in Stager. When I click edit, it does nothing at all. If there isnt a solve to this, how can I quickly modify things? 

In my Mac mini (2018) I have an Intel core i7,  Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB and memory32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4. Substance 3d apps are quite slow in this configuration. I thought about the performance extensions. I want to buy Blackmagic eGPU.  Will it work? Does Anyone work in substance 3d applications using blackmagic eGPU?

Hi, I wasn't sure where to post this, I couldn't see a forum for general questions. If you purchase one of the substance plans and pay monthly, can you canel anytime, or is there a commitment to a minimum  period of a year or something, even though you pay monthly?If I take out the monthly subscription at the special offer price shown in a recent email from Adobe, can I then change to the Substance Texturing plan in a couple of months if I decide that's better for my needs?

Hi, first time poster. Really like how i can go from substance to stasger to aero to create AR content.  its really exciting.  i do have a question though.  how does scale work?  for example.  i made a model of a Printed Circuit Board in my modeling Application i modeled the FBX to scale, brought it in to painter, then sent to stager and finally aeeo and when all the steps were comleated the model looked about right.  but.... i wonder was that just luck?   What if i wanted to do somehtinhg big... lets say a 6' tall refrigerator or a piece of furniture that needs to be actual size?  will Stager inherit the size from the FBX and via painter all the way to aero import? what are your thoughts any advice?  Thanx in advance...-Mychael

I am using a windows computer with a Nvidia graphics card. the drivers are up to date and I have set the graphics card to work with stager in the nvidia control panel but GPU rendering is still not available in stager. How do I fix this?

Found that I couldn't "Send to Stager" some of my models and got kinda bummed.Any plans to implement this??

Hi,  in Dimension, it was possible to export the shadows as separate layers in a .psd file when rendering a project. This is no longer possible in Substance Stager and all the shadows are baked into the main layer. Is there a way to change that? I rely on those separate layers for post processing work.

Hello It's probably worth prefacing this message with the fact I'm still trialling 3D Stager (30 day free trial) but hopefully there's no difference in the trial application. I'm currently an All Apps subscriber but I used Dimension a lot and I'm considering subscribing to the 3D applications also. What I'm experiencing is that the application intermittently stops responding when dealing with larger files. The file (.ssg) in question is around 1GB. Nothing extreme, and certainly nothing that causes Dimension to stop responding. The application doesn't completely stop responding but the interface ceases to function. The main menu still works, but I'm unable to interact in any way with the scene/viewport. I've left it, in some cases for over an hour, but the application remains in this state. I can't close the application, the only solution is to end the task. I'm using GPU rendering and this happens with ray-tracing enabled and disabled in the viewport. PC Specs

Hi. I made a thing in Stager, I'd like to take it to Cinema 4D to render a simple animation.I'm on an Apple M1 mac.I couldn't get the textures to import, and I'm not good enough at texturing in c4d to rebuild the look.I suspect that this may have to do with the fact that the Substance materials plugin isn't M1 native yet. How do I move an object or a scene from Stager to C4D with materials intact?Alternatively, is there an alternative to c4d to animate a scene made in Stager?How can I get from a to b here?thanks, S.

Say I have two teams, a team that works on the model (OBJ) currently in CLO, and a team that pulls those models into stager to add material and graphics. How easy is it to pull an updated OBJ into the stager enviornment while the stager team is still working on the scene? What has to be done to ensure the stager team is using the most up to date obj file?

Hi Jeanette,  I have a subscription to the full Adobe CC. Including Dimension. If it has morphed into Substance Stager how do I get access to that? It's not showing up as one of my "owned" Adobe resources and I would like to use it (especially given that the 3D features in Ps have become unstable and mostly unusable for 3D fine art photography composites - vs commercial apps like 3D Type). I also have Substance Designer, Substance Alchemist & Substance Painter (as a student license); so not sure how all of these products play together under the new product family. Or, how we continue or transition our student programs to the new, full product family. Thx! (BTW, I loved your tutorials at Adobe MAX last yr on Dn - hope you'll do more 3D tutorials for this year's).

Hello All,  Been trying for ages to get the lighting right for a particular scene but no way no how. As soon as I add any extra light to the scene [ Spot, Area, Point, or Directional  they just go haywire and cause havoc with the Global illumination AND  the Hdri.  For example,  if I go to rotate the Global light by a tiny amount as long as there are no other extra lights added then that is fine BUT  if there are any of the lights mentioned above present then it is far too unpredictable. even a tiny rotation or a slight increase or decrease in intensity and the effects are massive and totally unpredictable.  I realise that Stager is early in its development but as it is just now  Iray from within Substance painter is superior. [ even though it lacks the flexability to add extra lights ect. ]   

I have created sbsar material from Adobe 3d Sampler and import it on the same object in Dimension and Stager. The are huge difference in material see image. I just spent the past 4 hours trying to complete a class assignment where we had to use Stager. The program glitched, gave me a brief error message, then shut down. All my progress was lost. I don't know where to go to submit an official report, or find proof that the program crashed so my professor doesn't take points away. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it as I've been up all night and the assignment is due at noon EST USA. 

It says gpu rendering is "not available on my device", my computer has a AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT 16 GB. Kind of sucks I can't use it, because it is good, and no better place to use it then when rendering 3D... Will this GPU ever be supported or only windows nvidia gpus are going to be supported? This is the common GPU type that comes with Macs. Adobe please support Mac GPUs too. Thanks.

Hi, I'm very happy for this new announcement of Adobe Substance 3D Collection.I already pay for Creative Cloud full suscription, but, unfortunately is not included in Creative Cloud full plan. It's a shame!I would like to have a really full plan. (With all the great Apps)...  Dear Adobe, ¿Could it be possible to have a FULL pakage with a great price, nice for you and for all creative community?

Hi,I have to make a rendering for a Poster 2x1 meter with 300 dpi. When trying to set the camara with 24,000 px is loks at 8,000px. And the rendering is only giving a output of 72 dpi even if I set to 300 dpi. Is it not possible to render such big pictures? Ahank you in advance

Is there a setting i need to enable somewhere for the PSD renders to export with layers?With adobe dimension i used to get PSD files that had the background in one layer, the render in one, sharpened render in a third and then layers for depth, materials and object masks. with substance i don't get all that when rendering to a PSD file.

Hello, is there a possibility to render just a crop of the before already rendered view? For an example: I rendered a huge image of (in this case) an open elevator-door for a long time 😉 Then i discovered, i need to change the material of only one object... Is there an easy workarround just to render a crop (same camera-settings), in order to put them together in Photoshop? Thanks for help! Laas

I am importing FBX files from Modo 15.1 and the default material in Stager always has an emission value of 1.  I am just using Modo to create material groups, I'll change the base color but all other settings are left as default. I am unable to see any basic color break up because of this.  Unable to attach the LXO or ZIPfile but am happy to provide sourcefile. Cheers

Hello All,   Just getting to grips with Stager and must say I love it, My question is as follows, Is there anyway to update the Painter model from within Stager ? If I make any changes to the textures / colours ect in Painter can I update that changes in my scene without having to import the model into stager again.  Can't seem to find anyway to acheive this . Maybe I am missing something.
