How do I set up a shortcut on my task bar that allows me to return to the previpous page I was on? i.e., If I am on page 7 and go to page 35, how can I get back to page 7? The keybord shortcut is CTRL-left arrow, but I'm keen to have a shortcut icon to do this. 🙂
Hi all,I have 2 cowokers having trouble opening a PDF from Google Drive using the “Open in desktop app” option in Chrome. Everyone else in my company can open files this way without issues, but for them it keeps giving this error:“There was an error opening this document. File open failed.”A few things to note:We don’t use Google Drive for desktop, just Google Drive in Chrome. We can open the same PDF just fine by opening it directly inside Adobe Acrobat via the linked Google Drive folder.I’ve tried updating Acrobat, clearing Chrome cache, checking permissions, disabling extensions, reinstalling Acrobat for them… but no luck.Does anyone know what might cause this or how I can fix it? Any tips would be really appreciated! Background info: In my company we have all our files stored in Personal Google Drives. We have linked our Google Drives in the Adobe app. Sometimes we open the files in our Chrome and then we can edit the files online but sometimes we want to open the file directly
The "Read Out Loud" feature has a critical bug that makes it impossible to read selected text. After activating "Read Out Loud," the text selection tool becomes completely non-functional, even though the UI indicates it is active and the cursor appears as an I-beam. This prevents the primary use case of having a specific portion of the text read aloud. The PDF file itself is a valid, text-recognized document where selection and commenting work perfectly fine before the feature is activated.Steps to Reproduce:Open any valid PDF document where the text is selectable (i.e., not an image-only scan).Confirm that the "Selection Tool" is working correctly by highlighting a sentence.Go to the menu View > Read Out Loud > Activate Read Out Loud.Attempt to use the "Selection Tool" again to highlight any text on the page.Expected Result: The user should be able to freely highlight any portion of the text. Upon selection, the "Read Out Loud" feature should begin reading that specific selectio
Good morning! When I use Adobe on my computer, documents open in Adobe PRO and I have all the tools available to me, like edit and combining files. But, when I am using my laptop, documents open in adobe reader and I do not have the same use of the tools. There is no edit or combine files (amoung others) tools available for me to use.
I have an existing Adobe Pro License on my account, but when I download Adobe Acrobat to my computer, most editing tools are greyed out. I have verified this with multiple files and verified I am not in Adobe Reader. I also downloaded the Adobe Licencing Checker to see if my license had expired, which it has not.
Hello Community!Does anyone know if it is possible to review an Acrobat document without the reviewer having to do it through the Adobe Cloud and how to do it?There are setting options for the document owner to not store in the Cloud, but I don't know what is the BKM for the reviewers to access it directly where it is stored to without their Adobe Cloud account. Than you!!
I am running the latest version of Acrobat Pro and mac OS on a Macmini M2 pro. The program regularly crashes while seaching comments. I contacted Adobe support via chat and the tech reinstalled Acrobat which did not solve the problem. I've also experienced this on my Macbook Air M2, so it's not unique to the one computer. Have others experienced this problem? Has anyone found a solution?
I have a few users whose button is missing. Not in tools. They have Acrobat w/ Sign services assigned to their account. They can login to their Sign account via browser and it works fine, just not the desktop app itself. Adobe had me uninstall/clean/reinstall. No change. I've seen a few other posts here going back a year and nobody able to find a fix. Did I miss something?
How does one create a stamp in Acrobat with a transparent background, so it can be stamped over a document and can still see what's in the background? Thx Larry

I have prepared an intake form for clients to fill out using a Web Form. It asks for a lot of information, so I want signers to be able to save their progress and return to the form later. This feature should exist -- there is an entire help page dedicated to it: https://helpx.adobe.com/sign/adv-user/web-form/save-in-progress.html It says to navigate to "Global Settings" to enable this function. I do not have any "Global Settings" to click... I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro. Thanks in advance for any help.
When I share PDFs via email where do those files go? Is another version of the file created? And if so, where do I access it? My process:Open PDF in AcrobatShare with colleague via email (through Acrobat) with a message that is posted as a commentClose the file.Open the file on my hard drive. There are no comments. Where did the file I just shared with my colleague go? Assuming a cloud version has now been created... but where is it? Why can't there just be one file? I'm so confused!
A signature capture plugin is displaying very badly (colors and alignment) in the 2025 version vs 2024 of Reader/Acrobat See screen shots..Any ideas how to fix without needing to rebuild the plugin ?Thanks in advance
I'm using an older version of adobe on my computer and I can box select in a document (select tool, click, hold and drag to make a box; then I can copy whatever it's selected). My cowoker just installed the newest version and cannot do the same action on the same document. Is box select gone?
I have two text fields - Text1 and Text2. In Text1, the user will type the name of a vendor followed by a dash followed by a description. For example, the user might type XYX Corp - widgets. The text in Text1 should then copy into Text2, but the text should be truncated in Text2 to only show the text before the dash. In other words, Text2 would only contain XYZ, Corp. Thanks.
Good day, I'm working on a form where we are rating employees and must be signed by the rater then the supervisor. I want to hide all the score (35 fields) once a digital signature is applied by the rater and unhide once the supervisor signs it.
In Acrobat XI, how do I get text to align top left in a form field? When I create a new text field, the text centers inside the field. Thanks for any help.
I am looking for an Acrobat feature akin to the keyboard macro feature in Word; type the assigned combination and a pre-arranged word or phrase is entered into the document. I would like to use this feature to add text to comments that have been added to a series of Acrobat documents. Adobe says that the "text macros" feature exists in Acrobat but I'll be damned if I can find it, and if it exists, does it work? Anyone else out there think that Adobe instructions suck? I've just bought and installed Acrobat but when I try to Add my signature using the Fill & Sign > Sign Yourself > Add Signature option, Acrobat screen just goes black (see attached) and I can't click on anything.Initially I thought I had to end the task using Task Manager. After many more attempts with other documents, after checking for updates, after a restart, after running a repair, I discovered that Esc works to get me back to the document. But I still can't use this option to add my signature.I get the same result if I select Fill & Sign > Sign Yourself > Add Initials.Brand new install Acrobat Pro DC, v2021.007.20099 64bit.
How can I increase the font size in the UI for Acrobat Pro DC?The text in the user interface and menus is far too tiny for me to read comfortably. Thank you in advance!
I need to create a printed brochure that is also easily readable on smartphone and other mobile devices. In terms of size, is there a best size (width x length) or aspect ratio for mobile devices? Can a PDF be optimized in some way to make it easier to view without excessive zooming on a mobile device? Thanks!
I recently made a post that some forms I made in Acrobat which are being used by the public are not conforming to the rules I set when creating the forms, such as only allowing text in a box to go to the length of the box (no scroll). Also, some forms I've received have entered text which is duplicating over itself and text continuing past the width of the box instead of entering onto a new line. A few people on that post had replied to say that this is most likely because the people using the form were using a PDF reader which did not recognise the restrictions I added to the form. It was suggested that I edit the file so that users are prompted to open the file in Adobe Reader. How do I do this? If there are other solutions for how to fix these issues, I'd love to here them.
Is it possible to deselect a choice in a radio button group on a fillable PDF? There are times a radio button choice may be selected accidentally. When this happens, the only choice one may have is to abandon the form they have been completing, and start from scratch in hopes the mistake is not made again. Our forms are very detailed and with multiple pages and combinations of drop downs, check boxes, radio buttons, text boxes, etc... with questions totaling well over 100. You can imagine someone's frustration if they've completed over 100 questions and near the end of the form there's a radio button question they did not mean to answer... The radio buttons are used exclusively for one choice selections only, otherwise check boxes are used. I'm interested in any simple solutions. Maybe Adobe can come up with a solution. I don't understand why radio buttons don't function the same way as check boxes. If you click once, it's marked; if you click again, it clear. Any help is greatly
Hello,I am making a calendar and want to be able to put text ontop of the date, and then for that date to dissappear if there is text over it. If I change the form field to hidden, it doesn't allow me to type on the form. If I change the fill color to white, the dates on the calendar don't show up. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
