When I select specific text in a pdf to be redacted and then hit "apply", nearly all of the text disappears and the word "dummylink" is on every page in blue. I have tried the redaction at least 7 times and get the same result. I also tried saving the document as an optimized pdf, but nothing helps. 

Hello, friends. My employer has downsized its Adobe licenses and I no longer have access to InDesign. So HELP! InDesign was always my workaround when trying to put typographer's quotes into a PDF. I've looked everywhere I can think of for a way to use "typogrpaher's" quotation marks, also known as "smart" or "curly" quotes, in the PDF Text Box or Edit PDF tool.   Thanks!Steve

On the fillable form I select the "sign" fillable box and the window pops up to add a signature, which does not give the check box to lock the form.On the other hand, on a non-fillable form, when selecting "Certificates" and then dragging a custom box after clicking "Digitally Sign", a check box is provided.I need to know how to lock a fillable form after putting a digital signature on it.I've added two pictures to show the difference between boxes.I'm on version 2025.001.20577 using Adobe Acrobat (64-bit)

As per title Mac OS 10.15.3 (latest version)Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2020.006.20034 (latest version) The software freezes a few seconds after it opens. It happens with any and all PDF files and even happens if I open the application without a file. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software via the Creative Cloud app and it has made no different. The problem still occurs. Any ideas/suggestions?

Hey.  In my job I'm often tasked with redacting large documents.  When redacting these, it's often easier to split them into seperate smaller documents.  For example, if I have a 500 page document I'll split it between 180 pages and work on each document seperately. The same names, contact numbers etc. often pop up across all documents, so any information highlighted for redaction in "Part 1" of the split file (not yet applied) will need to also be redacted in Part 2 and Part 3.  Is there a way to copy over the highlighted for redaction bits from Part 1 to Part 2 and Part 3?  At the moment if I redact "John Smith" in Part 1, I then have to manually input to redact "John Smith" in Part 2 and Part 3.   Thanks!

I accepted. Since then, there has been a bug every time I open the application. I don't know how to describe it in words, so I recorded my screen. To add visual impact, I want to conditionally format the fill colour of the Action drop-down list and the adjoining text field. I desire to use custom RGB codes for readability purposes. I have a small company about 15 users divided into a couple of departments with different networking access needs. They each have Adobe Acrobat version XI installed on a Windows 7 Platform. Each user has a set of mapped drives that correspond to their department. The Disk mappings are all directed to the main shared Network Attached Storage (NAS) device. At any time there can be a number of PDF files open and being worked in. The same PDF is usually not opened at the same time from two different locations. The issue is that two users who do a large amount of the work, IE. Scanning documents and adding them to documents that have been previously created, are reporting the same issue. The issue is when they have the PDF document opened and they are adding new content. Once the new content is added they go to save the document and then receive the f

I’ve been using Adobe Acrobat to export PDFs to Word, but in some cases (especially documents with tables or multiple columns), the formatting ends up completely off. Does anyone here have recommendations for online tools that handle layout better? I've tried this PDF to word  converter, which is good but doesn't support batch processing. I’m open to trying other free tools if they work reliably. Thanks in advance!

Hello,I have a client that I have been working with to investigate an issue where the context menu convert to PDF option creates PDF's with mostly blank pages. I have gone through the built in Adobe pro repair. uninstalled and reinstalled all Adobe products and done a clean uninstall and reinstall. I used Windows process monitor to determine that the acrotray.exe service is what was handling that conversion from the context menu. I also tried deleting that service, repaired Adobe which recreated the acrotray.exe service and attempted the same conversion but it did not help. We have been converting Word documents and if you open the document and use the Adobe PDF printer or the Save as PDF function it works but our client likes to convert files in bulk which is much easier through the context menu. I have also tried Word documents from multiple sources and created test documents all with the same results. Any ideas or recommendations for what actions I can try next t

My organization has recently forced an upgrade from using Adobe Acrobat 2017 to Adobe Acrobat subscription model. I'm using "Continuous Release | Version 2025.001.20474 | 64-bit" Coworkers and myself have noted multiple issues with Adobe features only working intermittently. Primarily Organize Pages ability to drag and drop will just stop working. On restart of the program, it will work again; however, this seems to be a significant design flaw. Our workflows of having multiple documents open and dragging/dropping to organize is hampered greatly by having to restart Adobe. This happens across mulitple users, many different PDFs, and multiple re-installs. Also, scrolling (particularly holding ctrl+mouse scroll wheel) stops working intermittently.  Both of these seem reproducible whenever Print to PDF is used; however, seems it occurs at other times as well. PDF printing is also a feature that needs to be usable without activating these bugs. Thank you

Hi all, I am having trouble with rich media buttons sticking after saving and reopening in desktop app. if I open online, all buttons are there no issues. But when opening the same file on the desktop app the buttons disappear and when shutting document down, it asks me to save the document even though I have made no changes. (It made changes by opening without my button). Anyone have the fix for this? 

Adobe Acrobat Pro, I cannot highlight. I have tried everything in all of the suggestions from all the other posts. It's not protected, it recognized the text, I have updated and repaired, I have reset preferences, I have saved as pdf/x, etc. etc. if the suggestion exists in these conversations, I have tried them all. What next Adobe? I don't understand why such a frequently needed tool is so difficulty to use, and why so many people have gotten on these forums to figure it out. If it matters I'm on a pc.
