Is there a way to remove the unchecked boxes after someone e-signs a document? This is how it looks after it has been e-signed.  

I have text fields that information is typed into, with separate fields to name, street address and city/state/ZIP, for example": Alan Adams         111 First Street               Adams, CA  11111Bob Bowman       222 Second Street      Brookings, NY  22222Carl Carlson         333 Third Street           Collins, IL  33333etc. up to 25 lines I would like the name boxes to auto-populate into a separate drop-down list box, and then when one of the names is selected from the drop-down list, the name street address  and city/state/ZIP are entered into another set of text fields.  So, if Bob Bowman is selected from the drop-down list, Bob's name would populate into another text field, his street address woul

Using adobe acrobat pro 2024Show in tags panel and it is all neat and tidy. Not taggable.  

I have tried deleting all the prefs, and just about everything related to Acrobat from >Application Support. I'verun the uninstaller and re-installed without any success. It will launch when OS booted into Safe Mode. Trying to find a solution before using CC Cleaner to remove everything (which may or may not solve it anyways). Thanks!

How do I sort bookmarks in Adobe Acrobat Pro, 2023 numerically or alpabetically? I deal with medical records that are not necessarily in date order, and it's rather frustrating to have to move every single bookmark around as I enter it to keep it in order. And then, I may have to still change their names. I CANNOT access the registry [this is a company machine.] There is NO entry in the ADD INS section. I am not a programmer and if you give me instructions for something in Java, please give it to me step-by-step, 1-2-3. Surely a company as large as Adobe can put in their database a SORT BY parameter option in the database...that Relational Database 101. Not a hard fix if the database has been programmed correctly in the first place. Does anyone have anything HELPFUL? I am so frustrated now...I've spend over two hours searching. And then I'm dealing with the limitations of Win 11 upgrade...sheesh. Just make things WORK!

Hi everyone,From what I can tell, Acrobat has several different ways of flattening, each with slightly different results.* java script this.flattenpages* flattener preview* actions - content - flatten layers* pdf optimizer - discard objects - flatten form fields* pdf optimizer - discard user data - discard hidden layer content and flatten visible layers*maybe more?Before I start A-B testing every setting permutation of these, is there any chance you guys can save me some time by explaining what the differences are and how the settings affect them? I would truly appreciate it. 

This seems to have disappeared from my right mouse click. does anyone know how to get it back? It's so useful to have it and really annoying that it's gone!

I need to print about 100 copies of an 12 page booklet with numbers from 1 to 100 on the top left. Traditionally we write these by hand but I figured that surely there is a way to automate this process. We will also need to print more like this in the future so this will save a lot of manual labour if this can be sorted out. Thank you!Is the ideal way to use Acrobat with Javascript? Indesign? I heard Java Script is the best way to print sequential numbers on the front of my books. I can not seem to figure this out, any help would be appreciated! Thank you. I am completely new to using JS. I am open to other solutions as well.  

Recent upgrade to Adobe Acrobat Pro Version 2023.008.20470.I have lost the ability to add text boxes with borders with this NEW version, to existing PDF's. Does anyone know where this functionality went? This is very frustrating. It used to be in Comments--> Squares/Rectangles.I can find New Text. I can find new Squares or new Rectangles. But I CANNOT create "new text boxes with borders" all-in-one, with this new version. Please don't suggest it is in "Prepare a Form". That is not the same as a free form text box with a border. I need to create a new text box with a border with text that automatically wraps to the next line according to the size of the box.What happened? I paid a lot of money for a new version that produces LESS functionality.

I am trying to write a formual to sum up fields based on a another field. Column 2  is named "secured or unsecured" and Column 2  is the called Current Bal.  I need to have a formula that adds up unsecured and then adds up secured.  I did get a formual for the first column to work but I dont know how to get it to look at all those columns and add them based on secured or unsecured  This is the formula that worked but it only looked at the first row in that column. We've been installing the ifilter for searching pdf dooucments for years, I was told initially it was because Adovb DC Reader was 32bit. We've updated to Reader to 64-bit - can I get rid of the ifilter - or is it still needed? Thanks, Dave F

Hi folks, A member of our staff has been going through weeks of PDF documents, marking text in each for redaction. Acrobat seems to handle this fine. Weeks later, she is now at the stage in which the marked redactions have been approved by her colleagues, and so it's now time to click Apply to actually redact the text in each file. However on each PDF she tries this, she gets: "There was a problem reading this document (16)" Even though Acrobat loads and saves marking to the document fine, it won't apply redaction.This is affecting any PDF file. I have attempted:Moving the affected files from the network drive they're stored on, onto her Desktop and applying redaction- same errorRunning a repair on Acrobat, same errorUninstalling and reinstalling Acrobat, same errorLoading up the file on a different computer and trying to redact, same error So she has a fresh copy of Acrobat 2017 Pro installed, yet this is affecting any PDF file stored in any folder.

We have a Cognos BI report that automatically converts reports from html to pdf and then sends a email out via a mail merge attaching the converted pdf from the hgtml report. Since upgrading our Citrix image from Adobe Acrobat Pro XII to latest version Adobe Acrobat (Unified installer) this is failing even for users logged in with their Adobe account and licensed for pro. All pro features are working and i am able to combine files to PDF and convert non html file to pdf without issues. When i right click on a html file and try to convert it to PDF it fails and comes up with a "The file format cannot be converted to pdf using drag and drop or right click menu. To convert launch Acrobat and do File > convert" this same process on the old Citrix image running Adobe Acrobat Pro XII works fine. Is this behaviour by design can you no longer convert html file to pdf via drag and drop and command line ? File > create> pdf from web page works fine

I am using the latest version of Adobe Acrobat 64-bit (25.001.20435). I have a short manual (35 pages) that I wrote in MS Word and saved as a pdf. I have several fillable forms that I created in the same version of Acrobat. When I combine the 4 fillables forms with the manual, some of the fields become unfillable in the combined file. They are fillable in the individual pdfs. For example, all the fields in this screen capture should have checkboxes:  Is there a setting to prevent the fillable fields from being removed? Thanks.

Hello,I've created an security settings file which contains some trusted CAs , a specific time stamp server and disabling "Download trusted root certificates from Adobe".The file was created with Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020.005.30763.When attempting to import the file on other systems, it occasionally fails with the message "Security settings update failed." It's unclear where this error originates. In my experience, Adobe doesn't offer any more detailed error analysis. Since the error only occurs on some systems, it's difficult to reproduce. Most of the systems are Windows 10 or Windows 11 with a current Adobe Reader installation.Is there a way to find out the exact cause or does anyone have an idea how to solve the problem?

It appears that, in Creative Cloud, Adobe removed the option to install a different version, or revert to a different version of Acrobat? The latest update is extremely horrible and I need to revert back to the previous version. Any takers?

I am trying to figure out how to verify that all required fields are filled upon clicking the signature field. Currently, they are only being verified after the digital signature is added and the submit button is clicked. Upon adding a digital signature, the form has you save it locally. We are finding that users are just emailing the saved signed copy rather than filling the required fields when the submit button is clicked. I'm pretty new but am a quick learner. Thank you.

Unter "PDF bearbeiten" sind bei mir nur die Texteingabe und das Messwerkzeug aktiv. "Objekte" werden zwar angezeigt, sind aber nicht aktiv (blass) bzw. nicht aktivierbar. Außerdem muss das "Linien- oder/und Formenwerkzeug" noch etwas anderes sein. ChatGPT erklärt einfach: "...öffnen Sie das Linien- oder Formen-Werkzeug"... When I select only a few layers on a page, I can see the layers being removed as I do it. I print the page and ALL the layers print. I look at the pages tool and it still shows all the layers, even though on the main screen it shows that I only have a few selected. I need to be able to print only selected layers. I've tried restarting my pc. I have signed in and out. I have gone back to the Adobe acrobat before the update. This is happening in multiple files.

Good morning.   I use Adobe Acrobat Canada and I'm trying to locate protocols from Adobe Acrobat on how they comply with PIPEDA laws related to the storage of customer data on servers outside of Canada.  I get gettng sent an article about the use of eSignatures, but I want details on the storage of  Candadian data on cloud servers located outside of Canada, and what protocols are in place from Adobe to ensure compliane with PIPEDA.
