I have a large number of files. Is it possible to automate adding a header to the upper right side of the page based on their file names? Thanks!

Good Morning! I've been having some issues with getting Acrobat re-downloaded to my PC. I've un-installed, restarted my PC and then re-installed the program and everytime I try to open the program it crashes before it opens. I just wasted a 7 day free trial trying out Acrobate Premium, most of that time pulling my hair out not getting any instructions on how to create another or delete the existing only one and although I did explore, it was way beyond my first intro to this type of technology so can someone tell me what is the difference is between the Pro and Premium? I don't want to get frustrated again trying this super duper...I'll never create the time to study/ learn all the things to do with this complex program especially when comparing how less likely I'll be using it because it is so complex. Rather, if the pro can suffice, I wouldn't mind subscribing monthly to use it ... Please help I'm much too old to take time to figure out all that the premium services offerred during the 7 day free trail , yet, too apprehensive to subscribe to what might be with the Pro being so far stripped down to actually meet any of occassional usage . I used Safari to save the info on a website as a PDF, but Safari saved all the info as a SINGLE page. I would have guessed it would save as 5-6 pages.  How do we split one page into many pages? I've searched the documentation but haven't found a way to do it.  Thank you. 

Greetings all, Is it possible to specify precise vertical and horizontal alignment of text in an acrobat text form field?  Having searched this forum and the acrobat user interface, I haven't seen what I'm trying to find.  It appears as though when acrobat automatically creates a form from a Word source document, it chooses computed or default dimensions for the text form fields.  However, when a user types text into that field, in my particular instance, it looks like the text is middle-aligned vertically in the field and it appears to be about 3 feet above the line beneath the text field, not attractive.  I have found no way to adjust the height of the text downward by a specified value so it sits at a reasonable height above the underline from my source document. Do I have to modify the text field vertical dimension so that the text won't sit so high, or is there an alignment feature that allows me to specify the text height above the form field base?&n

Hello,Is there a way to password protect a batch of pdfs with different passwords? For example, PDF A will have a different password to PDF B. Instead of password protecting one by one, i would like to apply the passwords to all pdfs in one attempt. Thanks

I'd like to make some text a strikethrough, but is there a way to do it without the popup menu? I'd rather have a button somewhere, I tried opening the Comments panel but see no strikethrough option 

I'm using AdobePDF Library 22.3.39 version 1.6 (Acrobat 7.x)I prepare forms frequently and started having an issue today.  When I add a text box in Prepare Form, I cannot move or change the size of the box.  I'm usually able to drag the box where it needs to go and be able to resize it. I checked in properties and nothing is locked.  When I try to move the little arrow shows up like it will allow me to move, but nothing.  If I try to resize, the resize icon will appear but won't allow me to resize the box.Until someone can help me, I'm using the Position tab in Text Field Properties box.

Text / all words are missing from PDF when opened on mac in adobe (paid software). These text and words show on iPhone. Computer and software are up to date. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Running into an issue with all of our users having this pop up and freezing their Adobe Pro, they have to exit out of Adobe via Task Manager to allow processes to continue. I did find a workaround for this by disabling protected mode (Edit>Preferences>Security (Enhanced)) but was wondering if there was a better way to handle this as we have quite a bit of users running into the same issue?Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Hi all,  Disclaimer upfront, I am a novice at JavaScript.  I've tried reusing some that has worked for me in past scenarios, and i've searched the internet extensively and just cannot get an answer.  Would appreciate some help!  In concept, this seems like such a simple problem, so I'm frustrated I can't get it working.  I have a table with a lot of form fields.  Each row is a line item.  Some rows only have a member price and some rows have a member and non-member price.  Then there is a quantity field for the user to enter data.  And a total field.  The total field is working beautifully when there is only one price.  I have the calculation set to do a product of the price * quantity.  The problem I am having is when there are 2 prices.  I need to be able to tell it which price to use.  So, I was trying to add a Custom Calculation script. If the member number text field has a value OR one of the 3 me

I'm admittedly still on a learning curve with Adobe software, but I've bumped into a problem I don't even know how to start addressing.  We recently created a new fillable PDF form for internal use in our organization.  This document requires signatures from two different people.  During its first use, the formatting of the PDF text fields completely altered after the request was sent to the second signer.  The multiline fields were all back to single lines, and and text fields set to scroll were no longer doing so.  This made the document relatively difficult to use.  Is there a way to protect the formatting between signers?  I'm trying to figure out what would cause this, as sending the form through other means (e.g. an email attachment) doesn't cause this issue.

Hi,I am sorry if my question has already been answered somewhere else. I run into this post looking for some direction to solve my issue which is: I work with a group of epidemiologists who track restaurant food outbreaks. When there is an outbreak, an epidemiologist goes online to the restaurant menu and literally types in a Word document every item in the menu. Then the menu is converted to a fillable PDF form that is used to interview cases. This is a very labor intensive process and I would like to optimize it as follows: I would like to copy the menu directly on a Word document and convert such document into a fillable form that is easily followed when interviewing cases. Can this be done? If not, do you have any direction as to how I could accomplish something like this? Thanks for any help you could give me with this issue.

Hi, my plan includes Acrobat Pro, but when I try to enter in Acrobat web, they ask me for subscription ...I have just created a pdf book on Adobe Express and need to open this pdf in Acrobat Pro in order to add pages numbers...Any advice.thank you  Update. I've just found the page from which I'm allowed to ask for the installation link. I received that link, but when I click on it, the same page I started from appears... They ask me to ask for the installation link...

 Hello Adobe Support, We have encountered an error on our systems where staff who use Sharepoint are able to open and preview their pdf documents via their browser (Chrome, Edge, etc) but when they click to 'Open In Desktop App' button while the app opens the users are getting the above error message. Opening of the documents works perfect fine if they are downloaded first and then opened, but the users want to make live document changes not have a copy of the document that they change and then need to replace the OG one. We've run thorugh a number of troubleshooting steps to rectify this issue already.1. Reset Browser cache2. Run adobe installation repair3. Check for enhanced security settings within Adobe preferences4. Check for if sharepoint allows for less secure apps5. Uninstall and reinstall Adobe Acrobat using a registry cleanup tool like Revo The issue only occured recently and we're starting to run checks to see if there was a possible google chrome up

Adobe is only working on the clould. It's not working via desktop so it's making it difficult to edit and organize pdf's the way I did on previoul laptop. 

Hello community,I have problem with my Adobe Acrobat DC Software. I could activate it in two computers and now after reinstalling it on my updated OS it says I have already two activated devices. The computer where I had it installed does not exist anymore. So I cannot logout from that device. Do you have any recommendations how to get the software running again. The Adobe support said they can't do anything. Perhaps somebody in the forum can help me.Best wishesSimon

I've been using Adobe X Pro for about 15 years now.  All of a sudden I'm getting an "Activation limit reached" error that tells me I have the software installed on 2 other computers.  I actually only have it installed on 1 other computer.  I went back to my old computer and permanently deactivated it there.  When I come back to my current computer and try to restart the program, I get the same activation error message. I called Adobe support, but they tell me that my system must have gone through some non-Adobe update, which prompted the Adobe software to seek reactivation.  Because Adobe X is in end-of-life status, they can't help. I do not want an Adobe subscription - I was happy with just the standalone desktop software I purchased outright.  Does anyone know how to get around this activation issue to be able to continue using the Adobe X I've been using for years?

We have a PC (belonging to our CEO) that has the VCRUNTIME140.dll file replaced when the Adobe Update Service (installed with Adobe Reader) runs with a file having zero bytes. We repaired the file yesterday only to have the Adobe Update break the file again this morning. Any ideas to why/how this is happening. We get the following message:

Our company updated our Outlook to the new version. Ever since then, when I open a file attached in an email, it gets renamed to some random string of text and numbers. Very similar to the problem where when packaging illustrator files, Adobe tends to rename linked images from the cloud. This random renaming of my files is very disruptive.  I can't be sure this new renaming issue is an Adobe one instead of Microsoft. I sent them a message too. I assume it is Adobe since the remamed files are renamed in the same way as the Illustrator packaged images from the cloud. Please find a way to stop this.

Is there a way to advance to the next result in the text (not in the search box) in Advanced Searches? Formerly I could press command-G (I think) and it would take me to the corresponding page. This functionality has been gone for over a year. Now I have to click in the search box to get to the next result. I see this discussion: https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/key-to-move-to-next-search-result/m-p/12967526 It is unresolved. Has anyone been able to reproduce the bug or find a workaround? All of a sudden, I am having issues with downloading PDF files on to my computer I didn't have before.  I work in Adobe Acrobate Pro 90% of the day, everyday.  When using the download symbol arrow, I see my document being saved as automatically in file type as "PDPPlus.Document" and not "PDF files (*.PDF)".   See the attached redacted docment.  I'm not sure how to file it.  Any assistance is greatly appreciated.  Thank you, Denise

When I have multiple pdf's open and I want to close one (they all get close).I seem to have marked the "always close all" or something and now I realize that was a mistake.I would like to know how to re-set Adobe or if there is an easier solution I would like to hear it.
