Hello Everyone,  I have a user with a "Request e-signatures" button that had disappeared. They once had this button listed under "All tools" when they were working on a document within their installation of the desktop application. This user is on a Windows 10 (not the Home edition) for desktops.  I am currently troubleshooting the ways to make this button reappear within the application, but so far I haven't had much luck other than to reinstall the application without updating it. On the other hand, if I don't update Acrobat Pro, the user will be missing out on other premium features.  Troubleshooting steps (not in any particular order):1). I tried adding the registry key "bUpdater" as a DWord value set to "1" at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown\cServices. 2). Looking at the "Fill and Sign" tool to see if the "Request e-signatures" button was available. I found that sometimes it is, and othertimes

Please Help,Everytime that I try to send a docusign document to a certain email, adobe changes the name of the recipient to a different person.  I am unable to change it and it sends the document to the correct email, wrong name.  How can I change this?

Hi, I've avoided marking up in acrobat for 4 years due to this and figured there must be a way to fix it. I have a Wacom 13, running windows 10 and on acrobat Pro.  When I print the first leter it will be ok. As soon as i lift for the second it just makes a dot and stops writting. It also trys to engage the right click menu randomly (i checked my Wacon settings and also it doesnt do this in any other program). If i do cursive it works fine until you have to go to the next word. Not sure if it's lag or a setting. I have to bring PDF's into visio as an image and then mark them up. It sucks lol.  Any idea what I'm missing?

How do I get rid of the results page when comparing files? The option to toggle show/hide summary is gray in the file a printer sent me that already created the comparison. But the comparison feature is useless with the results page in first position. Any ideas? Do I need to ask the printer to change a setting? If so, which one? Thanks!

In Adobe, when combining documents the editing pane sometimes appears to "lose" content. It disappears from view, but the preview pane looks just fine. I'm afraid to combine documents that look empty. How can I fix this? Here are my notes from attempting to resolve the problem:  When user combines documents the pages in the editing pane will lose content, but will show complete in the preview pane.This causes the user (out of fear of creating a blank document) to close and reopen the document, which resolves the issue, but the user doesn't like that she has to perform the extra click for the combined .pdf to appear as normalUser has Adobe version 24.0020180Repaired Adobe, no resolutionCould not find any actionable information regarding the user's issue onlinePending further investigation Please let me know if further information is needed, thank you.  

Hi all, I have used Adobe to convert a large pdf file (417 pages with many pictures) and I am experiencing issues opening the converted word file in Microsfot word. I have tried on two different laptops and the same error message appears: Word experienced an error trying to open the file.Try these suggestions.* Check the file permissions for the document or drive.* Make sure there is sufficient free memory and disk space.* Open the file with the Text Recovery converter. The file permission and free memory space doesn't appear to be the issue. If you have any suggestions, please help!  Thanks,Ashleigh 

I have so many pdfs that I can't open in google drive because the file / folder's names are too many characters. After searching it seems that the limit is 255 including the folder path. So the deeper in - the shorter the file name needs to be. Some of my folders have hundreds of pdfs.Probably more of a google drive question than adobe - but does anyone know how to shorten the name of a bunch of folders with all different names? Likely not possible... But some clever person on here may know...

All even numbered pages print text upside down and mirrored when set to flip on long edge Windows 10 desktop Dell PCAdobe Pro (2022.001.20085) up to date.Printer driver up to date.MS Word duplexes fine. All pdf files affected Flip on short edge works fine Have tried restarting computer, printing as image, and variations on portrait/landscape. Can someone tell me why my Creative Cloud Subscription only allows me to install a stripped down version of acrobat, (Acrobat Pro 32 bit). When I can go to the download site and install the 64 bit Acrobat Pro DC? Why isn't the best version available for download and updates in Creative Cloud?

I have an Excel spreadsheet with a tab set to scale to fit a single A4 sheet of paper.  My Adobe PDF printer and preference settings in the Create Adobe PDF tab of the Excel ribbon are all using a conversion setting with the paper size set to the standard A4 sheet size.  When I print the sheet using the Adobe PDF printer, the single sheet is printed onto an A4 size page (210mm x 297mm).  When I use the Adobe PDFMaker function with the single sheet selected and the conversion option set at 'Actual Size', the single sheet is printed onto a page with dimensions 396.2mm x 560.5mmn (i.e. not even close to A4 paper).  Screen snips of the above are attached.I have checked every possible Adobe print setting to ensure the default paper size is A4 but can't find where or why this odd paper size conversion is happening when using the Adobe PDFMaker function.  I have seen similar threads n the Adobe Community but now actual resolution or solution.  Any/all help apprec

I have been using checkboxes and summation boxes from these checkboxes, but it's complicated and slowing down my document for several reasons. I would like to try using summations from dropdowns instead. i.e. if "FOC" is selected in a dropdown, this value (1) is added to a summation box at the end of the document so you can see that 'FOC' was selected 30 times, 'LOC' was selected 12 times, etc.Is this possible please? I have done a search of the forums as I did think I'd posted this already but can't find it anywhere and the other threads I have found don't answer my query.Thank you very much!

Hi, looking for any workaround to being able to "number" or sequence page numbering in a footer if I have to number attachments 3A, 3B, etc.  I have Acrobat Standard, and it only seems to give me options for "1" or "1/n" type numbering.  Most of the time when I have to apply numbering, it's as actual numbers, so adding a footer works great.  But for 5A through 5AN (it's happened), I had to type a comment, copy/paste to the rest, then manually change the letter after the number.  I'm hoping there's an easier way, something akin to a SEQ in MS Word.   Does Pro accommodate lettering?   Thanks, Ann

I have a document ”test.pdf”. The last signature shows that it has been modified, but when I add an annotation with Adobe, the signature shows that the byte range is invalid. Why is this? The last annotation I added was with Adobe, shouldn't it still show that the document has been modified?

Hello:  I am using a current version of Adobe, and I am trying to attach files to a document and usually can click on the attachment icon (paper clip) and then it turns the cursor into a push pin, where I can navigate to the area where I'd like to add the file.  For some reason, I am not getting the push pin.  I can choose a file, but it just loads it into the file area but I cannot add it directly to the document itself.  

I have a few users who are receiving errors when trying to combine files.  When trying to combine files if several are selected the system appears to start combining and then a message will pop up with the file path and state 'could not be added to the list because it does not exist' (Adobe Acrobat message window).  When grabbing only a few of the same files, the name of the file will appear in a pop up (Add Files message window) and 'File not found. Check the file name and try again.'  After much testing it appears it may be due to the length of the file path.  i.e. the documents have similar names and reside in the same location, one file has approximately a 160 character file path and it loads without error, another file that has a 193 character file path triggers the error messages.  The number of characters are below the OS(windows) limit.  Is there a file path limit for files when combining?  Any suggestions on what to try.  If I download t

Hi there! I'm working on a form that needs to be used on ios (iPad specifically).I added a button that turns a group of fields to read only.The code is:if(app.alert("Document vergendelen?",2,2)==4) { this.getField("Group1").readonly = true; }This works perfectly on desktop, but on ios it doesn't give me the Yes/No option, only an "OK" button which cancels the action (tried on Acrobat and PDF Viewer). I also tried it on PDF Expert which does give the Yes/No option, but then the app freezes and nothing happens.We would prefer to stick to Acrobat or PDF Viewer though for ease of use.Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Adobe Acrobat wouldn't print some pages.  A message said, "A drawing error occurred."  How can I change that?

When I edit small things in an Adobe doc, the application crashes and says the document can't be found. I lose the document. This has happened with all Acrobat Pro versions for at least the past five years, so I'm not surprised. It renders the editing tools useless. Or, if users don't mind playing roulette (they may lose a PDF file entirely or maybe not ), then it's okay.  Acrobat engineers should remove the editing feature if they're not reliable. Or at least add a warning on click that stipulates users may lose their entire Acrobat Pro document if they employ certain editing features. None of the troubleshooting solutions offered in this community discussion (dating back to 2017) have ever resolved the problem. It's beyond frustrating because it's unreliable.A crashed application is one thing, but an important document that no longer exists after adding a comment in Acrobat Pro is careless and disappointing. It creates a consumer trust issue.

It used to be that when filling out forms, the software was able to recognize a box and automatically insert a check mark when the box is clicked. This is no longer happening on New Acrobat. In addition, when adding text to fill in a preset form on the line, you could just click and start typing in a new text box (typically grey) that overlays the pre-existing text (typically a blue box) that makes up the form. But now, when I click and start typing, it has me typing in-line and in the big blue box. This is obnoxious as the line for text to go on-top of is now looking like[_____Money____] instead of [___Money___ ] which messes up the entire form. Not to mention it keeps trying to prompt me to write comments on a doc that doesn't have any comments or need any comments. Where the [T] text box used to be on the little side toolbar, there is now [*comment icon*] and it won't let me remove it and replace it with the [T] text box. But [T] text isn't acting the way it used to a

Hi there, We've been attempting to optimize large files that are output from our xml/text editor. The output file is 245 MB, which is too large for our clients to use as is.When attempting to optimize, Save as -> Optimized PDF, it starts the process but shortly after crashes without an error message.We suspected that it could be an issue with the format of the document, but we trimmed down the document to be smaller, 13 MB, and it was able to optmize the file without issue. We suspect it's a memory/resources issue as it while watching task manager, it reaches almost 100% resource use before it closes the Adobe. Not sure if anyone has run into an issue like this or would know how to start remedying it.Any help would be appreciated. 

Hi everyone, I have an Issue with printing PDFs double sided. When I want to check the Box for double sided printing, my Adobe Acrobat freezes an shows the message "No Feedback" in the printwindow.I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Acrobat and reparing the programm through the Settings.I tried different printer drivers. Checked everything for Updates, but nothing worked.Does someone already had the same issue or knows a way to fix it?Thanks
