 A constant issue at my workplace is that many PDF documents need to be signed by more than one party.  We are always jumping through hoops printing and signing in ink and re-scanning.  It would be nice if there was a simple yes/no selection when signing to choose if the document should become read-only after signing, or remain unprotected to allow other signatures.  

I would like to add comments on a PDF for team use and proofing. When the PDF is final, I would like the option to delete all comments on all pages and save as a final version for client, without the client seeing any of the comments.

This application is becoming trash, 20+ years using most adobe products, and them charging for even Arial fonts really? does anyone know of a mother PDF application?

Hello, We have trouble with activation our older Adobe Acrobat Standard 2017 and 2020 and Professional 2020. We were just reinstalling all comuters in company and we could'n deactivate licences before. We found only the 2017 Pro version in some account admin@xxxx.cz, but there in list of activated devices (it is empty). And for the 2nd one we have only printscreen with serial number from date, we bought that licences from Adobe website. Can you please, deactivate somehow these licence for use on reinstalled computers again? Thank you.Martin.

I’m testing how to send documents via Shared Reviews using Adobe Acrobat on the web.The process seems to be the same as the desktop version except that we have lost the stamp feature:Click the attachment in your email message to open the document. Add/post a comment. Add your Reviewed or Approved stamp.Based on the Community posts, it seems that the stamp feature is not available on the web.If this is true, is e-signature considered the replacement for the stamp feature? If so, can anyone provide clear instructions on how to set up this feature please? I’ve read  the online documentation but it doesn’t seem to mirror what I’m seeing in my version of Adobe Acrobat Home. I would really like to keep my process very simple for my reviewers and the less changes I have to push on them, the better.Also: I don’t think returning to the desktop version is going to help. Not a question, but a solution! Here is how you add exhibit stamps to Adobe PDFs: Save the attached PDF document to your desktop. Go to File Explorer (File folder icon) Click on “This PC” Click on “Local Disk (C):” Click on the “Users” folder Click on your name file Go to the bar at the very top (should look something like “This PC>Local Disk (C:)> [your name file]>” and type “\appdata”. All lowercase, no spaces, and press enter Click on Roaming>Adobe>Acrobat>DC>Stamps Drag and Drop the attached PDF into the Stamps folder Exit out of the File Explorer app and open a PDF. Once the PDF is open, go to Tools>Add a Stamp>Stamp>Exhibit Stamp. Pick whichever stamp you like, drag and drop it wherever you want on the document, and once it is in place, you have the option to put whatever numbers/letters you want for the stamp number

Since updating Acrobat to 26.002.21996 (installed October 6, 2026), two plain-text files named agmcalls.log and agmmemorystats.log are being created in folders that contain PDFs. Hi everyone,I'm experiencing a persistent issue with Adobe Acrobat Reader and hope someone here can help.Software: Adobe Acrobat Reader (64-bit) Version 2026.002.21931 (Continuous Release) Windows 11 The problem:Every time I open an existing PDF, add a comment or highlight, and press Ctrl + S, Acrobat opens the “Save As” dialog instead of saving directly to the existing file.I then have to select the save location and confirm that I want to overwrite the original PDF.After doing this once, Ctrl + S works normally for as long as the document remains open.However, as soon as I close and reopen the exact same PDF, the problem starts again.What I've already tried: Tested PDFs stored in OneDrive and locally in Downloads. Created a completely new PDF using Microsoft Word. Confirmed that the files are not read-only and have no restrictions on commenting. Disabled “Show online storage when saving files” in Preferences → General. Checked the settings under Preferences → Documents.

The staff have not experienced this before and it is only 1 person that has notified us about it. Reinstalling the app did not fix the issue. It is very convenient that it started Oct 6th when the debug files started appearing for the entire company as well.Has anyone had this? is it related to the latest patch?

We tried uninstalling and reinstall, repair, copying the agm.dll file from a working envirement. But nothing seems to work. We even used an old version of adobe but when the users login again the issue is still there.

How can I add the “undo” icon back to my tool bar, for text I  have highlighted to redact, but for which I have not yet “applied” the redaction.  Thanks.

I am having trouble with our site plan documents not showing the images. When I open the file, the image loads fine, but as soon as I scroll to the next page the image disappears and they don't return when I scroll back through the file. This is happening on 2 office computers, plus the other company who we send the document to.I have checked for updates, and that hasn’t worked.Sample file attached. I have three users with the same license, and all are assigned Adobe Acrobat Standard DC.Two of the users can open and edit PDF files without any issues. However, one user is unable to edit the same PDF and receives the error message shown below. For this user, none of the fields within the PDF are editable.I also confirmed with the other two users that they can open the same file and edit its contents successfully. They do not receive the error message, and all fields remain editable for them.Could you please advise what may be preventing this user from editing the PDF?Troubleshooting done:1.) It keeps giving me the error message saying the document contains an embedded file entry. when the document does not contain an embedded file. It's doing this to every document I try to put through Preflight. Preflight pdf/A-2b keeps giving me an error message that the document contains an embedded file entry. In the summary at the bottom it says there is no embedded file. Why is this happening all of a sudden to every document I try to put through preflight?[Title renamed by Adobe moderator]

I am looking to lower the monthly cost for my company.  Right now, each staff has been provided a license.  We usually only use Adobe PDF to read, edit, sign, and combine files.  Currently each license is an average of $24 each, per month, for 9 staff.  I need to find a better way.  Are there any group options where multiple people can use Adobe Acrobat at a group rate?

Hi, have an issue with Adobe Acrobat which has been installed with the latest version, repaired, reinstalled etc. When opening a PDF with comments in, it will flash open for a split second and then immediately close. Event viewer is showing a faulting modile path of : \Adobe\Acrobat DC\Acrobat\Acrobat.dllFault code: 0x35f4 Colleagues are also having the same issue. The only work around we have found is to open a PDF document with no comments, and then open the one with comments and we can then work on it. This is not idea and there is a fault somewhere causing this to happen. We have already worked through a few articles which suggest changing settings in preferences (unticking options for show online storage etc)  as well as disabling security options etc which have had no effect. Please advise.

Long time user and owner of Acrobat 9.3  I am an architect and product large PDF files (30x42” sheet size) and combine into multi page documents. After a recent ‘update the security settings’ request from Adobe or a Windows 11 update, I can no longer manipulate PDFs that I have exported from AutoCAD (2004).  The files open and then crash the second I initiate a command such as rotate.Any ideas? Unwind an update? Re-install Acrobat?  Something simpler?  Help!

Hello,Within the last couple of months my desktop Adobe Acrobat Pro has begun displaying then closing the bookmarks panel all by itself, and I can’t find the setting to change this behavior. Any guidance would be appreciated. I have many PDFs that are set to display the bookmarks panel on open (Document Properties > Initial View > Bookmarks Panel and Page). When Acrobat is closed and I open one of these PDFs, the bookmarks panel initially displays. It takes Acrobat about 3.5 seconds to sign in to my account (upper right of the screen), and when it signs in, it closes the bookmarks panel. If Acrobat is already open, new PDFs will display the bookmarks panel and not close. Hello all, I am using Acrobat Pro on a iMac device. I used the Scan & OCR option to recognize text in the file, which it successfully completed. When I select the "Correct recognized text" tool, the pink boxes of questionable OCR also populates as expected. However, when I select the tool to edit the OCR text with "Recognized as," the option to edit the text and to accept those changes are both greyed out. I checked for updates and signed out and back into the Adobe account to see if those would fix the issue to no avail. However, my Windows installation works without a problem. Hopefully, someone will have a better idea as to what is occuring here and how to fix it.  Thanks!

Since 2 months ago we experience something weird with Adobe reader on our hosts.Users are reporting that PDF files are not opening. I checked that and I found there are a few Adobe processes that running in the task manager.When killing the processes and reopen the file it start to works.We tried reinstall and updating a few times to the latest version. Nothing works. Have you encountered this?How to solve it? Thanks.

When I am creating a form in Acrobat, I usually prefer that the entered text stand out from the questions. In order to achieve this, I select the Properties for a specific text field, and then on the Appearance tab, in the Text section at the bottom, I select the Text Color option, and then choose More Colors. This opens a Color panel that allows me to create a custom color which I can add into the Custom Colors area of the panel. Unfortunately, I created a custom color which didn’t work well to highlight the text, and so I created a second custom color that works better. I would like to delete the incorrect custom color, but I don’t know how to do that.There is a button below the row of custom colors labeled “Define Custom Colors>>” but it is greyed out.Please see the attached screenshot.Color Panel in Acrobat Forms
