I have a document that is over 1200pgs, and is made up of several other combined PDFs. When I try to add a header or footer for the purpose of doing page numbers, I get the message: An error was encountered while retrieving page content. How do I get around this error message to be able to add page numbers to my document?

Hello everyone,Is there a quick way/function to remove all blank pages that only have page numbers/a maximum number of characters?This is possible manually and can also be done with documents that do not consist of too many pages. If it is a scanned document, I sometimes come across documents where only the odd pages are blank. Then it is just a matter of plotting only the even pages with Adobe.The problem is that I also have documents of >500 pages, which contain a lot of blank pages and these are also spread criss-cross through the document.Doing it manually will take me a while.Anyone have an idea?Thanks

Hi, I had to sign an offer and therefore had to print it and then scan it. The document is now available as PDF but when I try to save it to PDF/A it shows error.   

Hello,I have done this :1) I have created a A4 blank page in Acrobat Pro.2) on another PDF I select a part of a text and click on "copy the image", so it copy the selected text. 3) In the created blank page, in edit mode I paste this "copied image" (made of text). I do the same with another text (I copy it and paste it inside the created blank page). So I have this result in the created blank page (it is like a collage between two parts of text) :  Problem : this one page created blank page made of text only has 2.2 MB file size.I have done "compress PDF", but I have always 1.7 MB for a single page of text. Here are my settings :I understand that this collage of 2 images of text makes this file being big (2.2 MB or 1.7 MB).But my goal is to have something like 150 KB or 200 KB file size for one page of text (collage), while keeping good quality results. How to do this ? 

I have Adobe Acrobat Pro and I'm not sure why I am unable to highlight objects? Only text.Reading instructions from a google seearch, it instructs to go to the comments tab, (which I don't have). I only have a comments tools and it doesn't have highlight capabilites. When I select the highlighter, it only highlights text. Trying to mark up a file for someone and I need this capability. Any advice?Thank You.

Hi there, I am including keystroke script so that typed fillable text is automatically underlined. This shows up when opened in Acrobat, but does not show up when opened up in a browser (Google Chrome and Edge). Is there any way I can make the underline code OR the blue boxes show up on print. I'm concerned my users won't open the document in Adobe, only in Google/Edge. Thank you!

Hi, Dear Friends! I have a PDF file of over a thousand scanned images. I have to review each page to see if the scan is correct. I don't always do one page after another, but I jump around. Is there a way to put something like a check box on every page (in one action) that I can check when I have finished reviewing that page?Thank you, and have a good day!Susan Flamingo

Just went to shut down my computer and the following message popped up on my screen.     Firstly: is it even possible for Adobe software installs to cause damage to my computer? Secondly: has anyone ever seen this message before? I've never had an active Adobe install interrupt shutting down of the computer!   I want to check this as it feels suspiciously out of character for Adobe and also if they have changed and this is now what happens, we need to know.   Thank you

My Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional just decided that it needed to be reactivated and Adobe doesn't do it anymore?   It fails on an internet authorization which always worked in the past. If you call the phone activation line, it says we don't do it anymore. If you chat with an adobe person they say it must be done in forums?   I love Adobe products (especially PS and LR) and use them extensively, but I am thinking about punting all of them if they decide to take your money for a product and then decide to stop allowing you to use it. I understand stop supporting it, but preventing you from using it is a separate matter.

Hi I'm having a problem when I save a PDF from Illustrator to overwrite an existing PDF Acrobat displays the old version instead of the changes made? Anyone had this problem?

HiI  know how to create bookmarks in my PDF. The problem is that when I click on a bookmark it takes me to the page where the bookmark is but does not highlight the specific section or word that I have bookmarked. Please can you assist. When I click on a bookmark I want the specific word or section that I bookmarked highlighted to make it easy to find on the page.

Hi friends!I would like to prepare a dcoument in Word with footnotes and then in the PDF file, when a reader hovers over the word with the FN a little tooltip box appears witht he text of the FN inside. Used for definitions of terms and people etc.Any ideas how to do this?Thank you So much!Susan

Some weeks ago this was displayed and I can't figure out how to hide it. I tried reinstalling but with same results. In other words, I didn't accidentally set it on. with other pdf, i have no problems.   now, here's what's baffling me, on win 10 version 22H2 (build 19045.5440)   1.  i've restarted my computer (several times today after trying the various "fixes") 2. i was able to open and edit this pdf yesterday. 3. i've redownload this document (tried with chrome, edge and firefox) and all crash acrobat today. 4. i can open and edit this pdf using reader online without issue. 5. i've checked for acrobat updates (none available, i have v 24.1) 6. i've run acrobat help > repair 7. i've uninstalled acrobat and reinstalled (no cleaner used). 8. i can view all 31 page of this document in acrobat, if i scroll quickly enough (crash occurs after about 5 seconds), and they all appear to be normal. 9. i have plenty of drive space (and i've tried opening from 2 different hard drives). 10. i can view all 31 pages in my acrobat preview panel   but i can't figure out what could be causing this and how to fix it.  

Created a PDF from a Word file that had HYPERLINKS in it.  Acrobat interpreted the links as OPEN A WEB (Execute a Menu Item) links.  I am EDITING those links to make them OPEN A FILE links, but when I ADD the file in the EDIT dialog box, the links become ABSOLUTE links with the drive letter included.  What do I need to do to create RELATIVE file path to the linked file?

 On 23.5. I received the mail confirming that the subscription (free one-week version) was cancelled on time, but on 24.5. I still got charged 24,39 euros.I can try to cancel now again as it still says that I have a monthly plan even though I got an email confirming I have cancel it on time. But I dont want to do it again as I want my moey back from the first time being charged.I need immediate action. I cannot find the way how to conntact anyone directly.

How do i change the language on error messages? The form is translated from an english version. I have tried changing the language field in the document properties to the preferred language yet the error messages still populate in english.
